I was legitimately afraid they'd end the opening flash-forward part with something like that
Would've been a little cool if he flipped to news coverage of walt's death
[sp]The storm hes watching on T.V is the one that hit the town Walt was hiding out at.[/sp]
Just watched it and it was pretty good.
Was that intro short enough for you!? :v:
[sp]For some reason the ending just made me laugh. Specifically how Tuco looks into the side camera as if it's a comedy sketch.[/sp]
The music during the [sp]hit and run[/sp] scene was quite catchy and fit it really well.
For a first episode that was pretty solid, at first it was a little slow but [sp]about midway when Saul met with those two brothers, oh man. I also loved how they gave us a glimpse into the future too, poor Saul looked like such a broken guy at the Cinnabon[/sp]
Needless to say I'm interested to see how tomorrow will unfold.
I hope [sp]the sk8r bros are okay[/sp]
I hope [sp]the sk8r bros are okay[/sp]
[sp] theyre in tucos presence, theyll never be okay again. if they arent dead already, that is [/sp]
It has the same feel, but different in a way. It has similar gags, but sometimes it's much darker and sadder.
Yep, that's exactly what I wanted from this prequel. Thank you based Gould & Gilligan.
What is wrong with Chuck? What's the dealio exactly with the hot shot blonde lawyer, Saul, and Chuck? The first half of the episode was a bit confusing.

Chuck is Saul's (Jimmy's) brother and he's basically mental, he believes that electromagnetic field is harmful and makes him sick thus he refuses to work.
[sp]Is the opening sequence (black and white filter) after Breaking Bad ends or before everything begins?[/sp]

[sp]After Breaking Bad[/sp]
[sp]After Breaking Bad[/sp]
[sp] Ah, fuck. Really? I hope he doesn't just get all depressed after Breaking Bad and that's how Better Call Saul ends. That'd really suck.[/sp]

Thank you. I meant the blonde man that's somehow using Chuck's absence to his financial advantage. And what part of that firm is Saul where he gets a check for 26k yet works in the back of a nail salon? Or maybe he's just representing his brother. Yeah, I think they said that since he won't leavev the house. This stuff flew over my friends head too. Maybe I lack a basic understanding of lawyer shit.
Oh man, I'm only 30 seconds into the episode and I already love it because they used The Ink Spots.
The first episode is now up on the Dutch and UK versions of netflix, haven't checked other regions yet but I guess it's up on the other European version of Netflix too.

It's been up since 7am in the UK.
is chuck saul's brother? at first i thought he was his father
Well, done. That was fucking awesome. [sp]Seeing Tuco made me audibly and forcefully gasp of surprise.[/sp]
I love it so far. Can't wait for tomorrow!
That was really good, can't wait to see the next episode
Somehow I thought the episode was over when [sp] Saul was talking to the 2 skater guys and says Go with God, so I turned the channel. Didn't know what anyone was talking about when they were referencing Tuco. I feel so dumb [/sp]
i never thought i'd have to suffer from 'EXECUTIVE PRODUCER VINCE GILLIGAN' ever again
and here i am

Swedish Netflix already has the episode up.
Use your Hola, people.
What time (including timezone pls) is ep 2 on tonight? Kept myself from watching last night so I could watch both episodes tonight.

I believe the US air time is 6am GMT.

Oh that sucks. Guess I'll see it tomorrow then.. Will make a nice birthday present I guess. :v:
I was expecting great things; and that's exactly what I got. It's too early to say how things will turn out (obviously), but I honestly think Better Call Saul's first episode was more entertaining then Breaking Bad's first episode.
EDIT: BUT I might feel that way because I'm already familiar with the character of Saul. If someone who hasn't seen either show, I wonder what they'd think.

I think the show would be bad if you hadn't watched or at least been familiar with Breaking Bad.
You can't really understand any of the appearing characters if you hadn't.

My parents haven't seen Breaking Bad and we watched Better Call Saul together.
They said that the worst Muppets episode was better compared to what they just watched. They didn't like/get it at all.
Muppets were pretty good though, so maybe it was a weird compliment. :v:
Woah, woah, woah! "Episode 2 tonight"?
