Oh man this season is shaping up so nicely. Love how the shows vibe is slowly turning to the darker ways of Breaking Bad.
[sp]the brutality of what jimmy said to chuck about dying alone felt like one of those ONLY HEISLENBORG moments from breaking bad to me. i react quite adversely to things (perks of a student house) and it made me fucking run downstairs whooping "OH SHIT, OH FUCKING SHIT, YOU GUYS HAVE TO SEE THIS"[/sp]
I'm glad I'm not the only person to comment on this. I thought that was an amazing scene. I think it's the first time Jimmy has been genuinely heartless in the entire show, another bitter step towards the Saul we know in BrBa I'm sure.
This latest episode was great. I like how it's really delving into the Gustavo/Mike/Pollos thing, makes it feel much more like Breaking Bad (which is good). Also, did anyone else catch the Don Eladio reference? [sp] when he jumps into the pool, it's the same angle as when he dies and falls in it in BB. And his expression is also similar.[/sp]
I love how this show is becoming more and more like a prequel to BrBa. I wasn't expecting anything like this. They even started out teasing it as a sitcom.
Call me optimistic, but I feel like this show is on pace to be better than BB. It's as if they ironed out all kinks with their storytelling and art direction from BB and have made a solid product from the start. The acting is superb, all new characters are perfect and past characters are far beyond their previous portrayals. Mike says more with silence than half the actors on TV do giving it their all. I am loving the depth on the backstories of the cartel/Gus as well, really puts their characters into perspective, even when referring back to BB. I genuinely look forward to the direction this show takes in the future
I feel so bad everytime mike is on screen Jesus someone give this man a hug
[sp]When Gus was at the fire department, I thought "oh shit are we gonna see Hank?"[/sp]
I'm amazed at how this show progresses, I honestly think its better than Breaking bad. The call backs and references on their own are handled wonderfully but the writing, especially on ep4 was killer. I also gotta say...Mark Margolis was terrifying in Los Pollos Hermanos, Its funny how it was only a 3 or so minute scene but the menace he brought with him was fucking boss. He didn't have to do anything violent or even say anything, it was all screen presence. Season 2 of Better Call Saul was great, but 4 episodes into season 3 and I'm blown away by the quality and the ever looming darkness thats starting to envelop this series.
The scene where [sp] Jimmy tells Chuck he is going to die alone [/sp] resonated with me very hard because I have said that almost verbatim to older members of my family that are set in their ways that pushed me to the point of cutting them out of my life.
Can anyone explain why Mike was [sp]taking photos in Chucks home? Was it to find the duplicate tape?[/sp]
Can anyone explain why Mike was [sp]taking photos in Chucks home? Was it to find the duplicate tape?[/sp]
[sp]Judging from Jimmy's reaction to that photo of the gas lamp on top of newspapers, I'm gonna guess that they're gonna try to make some kinda point that Chuck isn't fit to live on his own and that he NEEDS Jimmy to take care of him or something along those lines.[/sp]
Can anyone explain why Mike was [sp]taking photos in Chucks home? Was it to find the duplicate tape?[/sp]
Well to be fair, Jimmy and Kim [sp] Know about the duplicate tape now, so I assume some plan is set into motion now.[/sp]
had a theory last night [sp]show will have a finite run (4-6 seasons or something) with the final episode showing the events leading up to the breaking bad episode 'better call saul', with bryan cranston's first appearance being the final shot of the series[/sp] i reckon it'll be something like 50% similar to this
i don't want them to retread breaking bad plotlines tbh if the extent of "during and after breaking bad" is just flashforwards like the cinnabon scenes then i'll be fine, I don't need to see walt and jesse again
i don't want them to retread breaking bad plotlines tbh if the extent of "during and after breaking bad" is just flashforwards like the cinnabon scenes then i'll be fine, I don't need to see walt and jesse again
I'd love to see something that extends the breaking bad events through Sauls actions. Something like Saul saving walters ass through his connections without walter even knowing about it.

Either that or the lamp is actually going to start a fire. One way or another, Chuck isn't going to be around forever - it's just a matter of why and when now.[/sp]
So the only long-episode currently airing shows I watch are Better Call Sall and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D - I guess you can see where I am going with this already. The difference in my internal monologue when watching these shows is so extreme, it's ridiculous. [sp]That reaction shot when Gus enters the diner - you can see he felt vulnerable and disgraced for a few moments; so good[/sp]
Can Jimmy and Kim bang already? The sexual tension every time they're together, I want something to either happen or for the awkward sexual tension to stop, cause it's been this way for like 2 whole seasons and now it's just annoying.
I think they did have sex
Them having a hot steamy sex scene really won't add much to the show
I totally agree, but having to endure a 2 minute awkward scene of that to not have to deal with the constant awkward sexual tension would be a fair trade. If they've already banged, why are they so annoying when they're near each other? I get it, they're totally close and look out for each other, but we can do without the whole "I want to tell you I love you but I won't". Look at a scene between them two and I bet you it'll involve Jimmy looking longingly at her whilst she's busy, and then sighing with that goofy sad face. [editline]4th May 2017[/editline] tbh I'm not as interested in Jimmy's story anymore, Mike's is way more interesting.
They banged, dude, as far as I'm aware they banged before the series started and now you're literally watching them engage in a shaky relationship. Also I gotta disagree - Jimmy's story is keeping me so engaged right now. I never thought that [sp] Mike and Gus [/sp] would be put to the sidelines in favor of lawyer drama, but god damn the pacing and storytelling is beyond amazing in Jimmy's plotline. Mikes plotline feels a bit too much like BrBa for my tastes tbh.

[editline]4th May 2017[/editline] like, with eachother
how do you miss that they're in a relationship? [editline]4th May 2017[/editline] like, with eachother
are they? I thought they were in a situation where they don't want to take things there cause it'd interfere with work or whatever it is they have now. cause people being in a relationship don't act like that. way I saw it is they care deeply about each other and look out for each other, but the pining puppy eyes Jimmy throws at Kim every chance he gets got annoying ages ago.

I love how BCS (and BB) show why people can turn to crime and evil but differ in their ways and reasons. That's what makes Jimmy and Chuck's story so good, they're on very different downward spirals. In that scene where [sp]they're at the table saying "Howard", "Kim", "Chuck", "Kim" etc I half expected "DONKEY!"[/sp]
Really love how this series has gone so far, it's slow as all hell half the time but it's so beautifully shot and so well put together that I really don't mind. I think I've really missed that feeling of anticipation where I'm half expecting a fade to black and "created by Vince Gillgan" to pop up at any moment. Gotta say though, with the last episode (S3 E4: Sabrosito), [sp]I was wishing for more Saul stuff. Don't get me wrong I adore Mike, and Gus is just as terrifying as ever (while simultaneously kinda making me wish I had him as a boss, as long as I was oblivious to his other side), but I guess there's just more mystery surrounding Jimmy, Chuck and Kim. I know everything about Gus and the Cartel already, minus Gus' actual background before he brought his product to Don Eladio with his brother. We're basically waiting to see how Hector gets crippled, which is interesting, but I'm really more angry at Chuck 90% of the time I'm watching.[/sp] Hopefully we'll see that in Tuesday's episode (or whenever it airs for other people).
Weekly fuck Chuck

Let the weekly Chuck fuck begin [editline]9th May 2017[/editline] [sp]HUELL!![/sp]
