[sp]I don't think he hates phones, he just hates the electromagnetic stuff that comes with them. He seems to hate anything electric at all, but we're not sure why yet. Either he's paranoid and mentally ill or has a serious electrical allergy which while rare, is indeed a thing. Probably the first one seeing as Saul seems to not take it very seriously.[/sp]
[sp]In an interview on either AMC's Youtube channel or Better Call Saul's, they state that he believes that electromagnetic fields are making him sick. It's nothing more than an exaggerated nocebo (opposite of a placebo) effect, he believes so strongly that it's harming him that his body reacts as if it is. That's really all an electrical allergy is.[/sp] [editline]10th February 2015[/editline]
delicious irony to the fact that one reason [sp]why Walt got into meth was because he couldn't afford the cost of treatment[/sp]
[sp]It is entirely why he got into it in the first place. It's not why he continued, though. After a while he started to enjoy the power.[/sp]
If you were wondering how Chuck and Jimmy started as lawyers
amazing attention to detail in episode 2, the montage of the courtroom actually had the footprints on the floor change every time :v: [editline]10th February 2015[/editline] holy shit, that little netflix waiting screen :v:
Watched the first 2 episodes. The intro to the first one was kind of interesting, but that [sp]shot with the color in the reflection of his glasses[/sp] felt a bit pretentious [sp](just like the pink bear in BB)[/sp] The show still looks gorgeous, it's sure not cheap; it's weird to not see filmgrain though, I kind of liked a bit of a lo-fi thing the first season of Breaking Bad had (god I sound like a douchebag). Sickness and "shitty life" seems to be a thing for both shows, I kind of like that, the [sp]brother scenes are really heavy, they remind me of the first scenes where Walt's family discusses his cancer and what to do about it, while not asking what he wants to do; it's really uncomfortable[/sp]. Overall I really liked both episods, can't wait for the next one!
So is there a full version of the opening theme song? It sounds like it'd be awesome as fuck.

Oh God - his troll impression. :v:
So is there a full version of the opening theme song? It sounds like it'd be awesome as fuck.
Not yet but someone made an extended version of it
Aside from episode one getting off to a slow start, it really picked up and just threw you in it in episode two. Loved the [sp]tuco desert scene[/sp] and whilst I don't think this will top Breaking Bad, it'll get very close to it.
There is no such thing as an electronic allergy it's a bunch of bullshit.
It's actually a little bit more complicated than that. [sp]To put it simple, Chuck has a mental condition, he thinks that electromagnetism physically hurts him, which it technically does not, not directly anyway. The thing is that there's a 'bridge' between mental and physical problems, which is the nocebo effect. It works hand in hand with his irrational fear of electromagnetism, if he knows he's subjected to it, the nocebo effect 'creates' real symptons, which don't actually have anything to do with any physical factors like in this case electromagnetism. Said symptoms however, regardless of their genesis are real - they are 'artificially created' but exist as physical pain and whatnot. [/sp] It's definitely not an allergy though, since that's an issue of the immune system.
i wish people in this thread would stop calling Jimmy "Saul" Jimmy McGill and Saul Goodman are two different characters. Jimmy is a good, hard working honest lawyer who just can't catch a decent break (which is what the montage was trying to convey, in my opinion.), Saul is a criminal who has questionable morals and constantly cuts corners for money.
they're the same character in different stages of their life if I changed my name to bob it doesn't mean I'm a different person
he's always been a greedy scumbag. [sp]slippin jimmy was a true story, otherwise he wouldn't have brought it up to chuck after he read the hospital bill[/sp]
He's obviously trying to better himself, though. He just doesn't have the squeaky-clean past that Walter White had. Doesn't mean he isn't still a good guy at heart.
I very clearly said that I would start to tag stuff anyway. [editline]10th February 2015[/editline] Like I said - it's common knowledge to spoiler tag things that are new... ...if you're not in a discussion thread for those very things. You don't see places like reddit spoiler tagging that much. In r/betterCallSaul the sixth top post is about [sp]Tuco[/sp] with 242 upvotes and not one comment complains about spoilers. Why? Because there's obviously going to be spoilers there. Why would you go into a forum to find when the episode is airing rather than just Googling? It just isn't logical in any way shape or form. I'm happy to spoiler tag this stuff because you guys want it so much and that's fine - but that doesn't stop me from thinking it's silly. :v:
From this point on not using spoiler tags on obvious spoilers will get you banned. [editline]10th February 2015[/editline] While it would be unwise for someone who hasn't seen the show yet to come in here and not expect to see spoilers, it's still a new show and not everyone has had the liberty to watch. If in doubt, check this out: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1059753&p=29309396&viewfull=1#post29309396
Anyone else wondering how the hell did [sp]Mike end up working a courtroom parking lot and then after that turn into a hitman somehow?[/sp] [editline]10th February 2015[/editline] Well it is set like 6 years before Breaking Bad.
You totally answered your own question [editline]10th February 2015[/editline]
[sp]I don't think he hates phones, he just hates the electromagnetic stuff that comes with them. The second one was the proper starting point. The show seems promising. Also Mando/Vaas in the show, I can see intense moments ahead.
Probably the reason why they made it a two-night premiere. Almost like a two-part episode. They're kind of two halves of one story. [editline]10th February 2015[/editline]
The intro to the first one was kind of interesting, but that [sp]shot with the color in the reflection of his glasses[/sp] felt a bit pretentious [sp](just like the pink bear in BB)[/sp]
Probably something symbolic. I'm kind of wondering if BCS is going to have the same, or at least similar, symbolism in color and stuff that BB had
The theme song is such a good chillout song.
If you were wondering how Chuck and Jimmy started as lawyers
Alternatively, if Jimmy went the opposite direction for "Saul Goodman" in his lawyer persona: [editline]10th February 2015[/editline] Also I watched the entirety of Breaking Bad on Netflix, after it ran. Is this what it's like, having to wait a week for more Vince Gilligan goodness?
Anyone else wondering how the hell did [sp]Mike end up working a courtroom parking lot and then after that turn into a hitman somehow?[/sp] [editline]10th February 2015[/editline] Well it is set like 6 years before Breaking Bad.
[sp]He got tired of Saul's shit with the parking tickets and fucking snapped one day.[/sp] Guess I'll tag that just in case. It's true after all.
I did as well and this is fucking torture. Two episodes in and I was hooked on BrBa and now two in to BCS and, well, this is torture.
[sp]He got tired of Saul's shit with the parking tickets and fucking snapped one day.[/sp] Guess I'll tag that just in case. It's true after all.
Such great character progression, [sp]becoming a hitman because some dork shouts at him over parking tickets.[/sp] For real though, [sp]in Breaking Bad he reveals that he was an unorthodox cop and it's implied he left the police force after killing the wife-murderer. He was a criminal long before we met him, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had some other work on the side in his parking attendant days.[/sp]
[sp]I have a feeling that Mike is/has always been associated with crime. I think we'll find him as a henchman for someone soon and we'll get to see his progression to a Fixer. The parking lot attendant is just his straight job, and gives him a small insight into who works for the law. [/sp]
So apparently the sk8er bros are named Cal (glasses guy) and Lars (camera guy)
