Temple Bar in Dublin
Temple Bar in Dublin
shit, no way i'm making that.
My TV's subtitles show Þórunn's name as "Porunn" and it infuriates me every time.
Arrived half an hour early, queued for 2 and a half hours to fill out a cv and have someone take my picture. By the time I was done the queue had trebled in size, I'm pretty sure a good half of the population of Ireland was there, some were very viking-esque, others not so much. Will post more if anything actually comes of this.
I missed the special after the episode, did it show anything unique or just scenes from the previous seasons?
I only watched the first couple of minutes from it. Seemed to just be the pre-season bonuses rolled up into a single showing. Might be wrong, though.
The Vikings Store has a few new things on it. You can now get both of Wardruna's albums, Gap Var Ginnunga and Yggdrasil, as well as a replica of Ragnar's axe.
Floki doesn't have a clue to what he's doing
anyone think ragnars trying to put floki in his place and show him that leading is harder than it looks?
anyone think ragnars trying to put floki in his place and show him that leading is harder than it looks?
I don't know if it's true due to my poor memory, but my father mentioned a couple episodes ago that the seer told Ragnar that [sp]whomever leads the attack on Paris will die[/sp]

I feel like [sp]Ragnar is going to die next week[/sp]
I feel like [sp]Ragnar is going to die next week[/sp]
He can't. They showed how that would happen in the first season if you know the legend of him. [sp]He'll die in England, not France[/sp]

At the very least, if he isn't going to die next week I have a very strong feeling he'll be gone by the end of S4. Things are clearly going downhill for him fast.[/sp]

Time to let the Great Heathen Army invade[/sp]
[sp]theres no way ragnars intending to die, just you guys watch hes gonna fuck up paris[/sp]
More spoiler than normal : [sp]Last episode is called the death, fair to assume Ragnar would be dead. The French will help with the invasion of England. Athelstans son will create peace with then again. So that kid better has to chew those veggies before we hit season 10.[/sp]
you are wrong that is the only answer i will accept toxx that if ragnar permadeaths next episode ban me for a week
you are wrong that is the only answer i will accept toxx that if ragnar permadeaths next episode ban me for a week
Things are finally starting to heat up in the Vikings thread.

Finale spoilers: [sp]Hoooooly fuck that Trojan Horse style raid on Paris, loved how it put a different spin on the oracles fortune that "Only the dead will conquer". That was an amazing end to a season.[/sp]
Wow that was an awesome end to the season Also, [sp]Rollo the founder of the Normans, didn't see that coming[/sp]
Bam fuck yeah
Makes me wonder what the fucking point of the settlement in Wessex served
Makes me wonder what the fucking point of the settlement in Wessex served
I think Ragnar really did want to farm and shit but even if he didn't, he probably trusted Ecbert to fuck it up and give him casus belli to return to Britain and fuck more stuff up, which we'll probably see in Ragnar's endgame (I'm thinking next season is Fimmel's last and we'll wrap up a Ragnar/Rollo confrontation and then return to Britain and see the snakepit), and then if the show continues from there it'll be the GHA
Easier way to get food.
Show wise
Wow that was an awesome end to the season Also, [sp]Rollo the founder of the Normans, didn't see that coming[/sp]
I was kinda expecting this [sp]as soon as he volunteered to stay. Pretty cool since he's the ancestor of William the Conqueror.[/sp]
Holy Fuck that season finale, was not expecting that
As much as I know you beardless skalds like to let the thread die, I'd like to point out that season three is available for preorder on Amazon in blu-ray and DVD.
I'm going to drag this thread out of the halls of Valhalla no matter how many times you milk-drinkers let it die. First off, some stuff from Comic Con in case anyone missed it. As well, a couple new actors have been announced. Peter Franzén will be playing the role of Harald Fairhair. Jasper Pääkkönen is set to play his younger brother, Halfdan the Black.
Fuck yeah awesome shit, I was wondering where that stuff was Those new actors sound amazing
