Ugh I'm going to try and not see it. When is it coming back?
oh fuck
they did not just do what i think they did
also, clive standen (rollo) recently starred in another viking film, hammer of the gods.
Shit what a bipolar imdb for that movie, you have reviews saying its good/okay and its a Viking Heart of Darkness/Apocalypse Now and others which basically hope every person who made this film is burned alive.

It just says "2014" at the end.
Well there is a comic con trailer for season 2 that shows a stand off between Ragnar and his group against his brother and Jarl Borg. That's all you have to know but if you don't care about spoilers then here you go http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1491118361/ if you want to watch it.
[sp]To show the death of a character in a teaser trailer is dumb honestly, I hope that's not what really happens like what's the point of showing that for a teaser?[/sp]
Also there is more info here: http://film-book.com/vikings-season-2-tv-show-trailer-plot-details-san-diego-comic-con-2013/
Wessex is going to be in and there is going to be a timeline jump of several years so Bjorn is going to be older
Fuuuck. I'm pissed. One of my favorite characters.

Season 2 premiere is 2/27/14
Can't wait
Also does anyone think the show would benefit from being more graphic? Like along the lines of HBO?

I think it needs more character development in my opinion, especially with the monk that has zero point in the story yet was built up as someone highly important in the series teasers.

I feel like us 3 are the only people who watch Vikings
i watch vikings
lol, i think it's just that us three are the most excited about it perhaps? to the point that we continually post in this thread.
I'm definitely excited about new season, but there is not much information to discuss so far apart from wondering how direction has changed for season 2.
I also watch Vikings, but they're not among my top shows. Gonna keep watching though, of course.
My prediction for show ending
[sp]Ragnar dies in the snake pit, cut to montage of Great Heathen Army sailing across the North Sea[/sp]

character promo thing for ragnar
has a nice headshot in it
Why can't it be February 27th yet?
What is up with Ragnars eyes exactly?
also, clive standen (rollo) recently starred in another viking film, hammer of the gods.
which shouldn't be considered a viking film, even by hollywood standards

I liked it
I know I was very critical of this show when I first began watching it, but my expectations were really high. But taking it for what it is, this show comes closer to a somewhat fair representation of the norsemen and vikings than most of the productions from the west does. Obviously you have to spruce it up a bit and make it fancy for tv, but overall it's not that bad. Floki would be my favorite character. I appriciate that they have a basis of the story and it's not just completely made up. Seeing Kraka (or Aslaug) was a happy surprise I did not expect to see in this show. They even included the riddle.
If you read the saga about Lodbrok and remember the [sp]snake-pit[/sp] in the last episode of season 1, you will know what should be the plot (or atleast a major part of it) of season 2.

If anyone's interested, Baltasar Kormakurs viking film project sounds promising.
“It won’t be a traditional viking story in the way that it will show vikings the way we’ve never seen them portrayed,” said Kormakur. “Vikings were pretty brutal, but also very educated people. They were salesmen, businessmen who started raiding when business wasn’t good. That’s why they had such great boats.”
This ought to be a good thing. I think we have seen enough of this hollywood vikings-were-barbarians, fancy plate armor and ridiculous 360 sword swing combat techniques.
“It will be a mixture of European stars and Scandinavian actors. I’ll mix that together. The lead is an Irishman,” revealed Kormakur.
fun fact: travis what'shisname, guy who plays ragnar, is an australian model
also still waiting for mel gibson's berserker movie
Haven't heard much about that at all, only that it was cancelled or delayed.
