yeah I'm p sure they're going back to England with [sp]Jarl Borg[/sp] next episode also Ragnar gets more interesting as the show goes on imo
Well, I might give season 2 a shot sometime.
Personally, I don't think he's charismatic or anything. He's annoying to me and looks like a clueless child at times. But he's a good actor nontheless, don't like the person though. The issue is that everything happens so slow and characters don't stand out that well. Beards and axes alone don't make them badass enough. The only character which I find really interesting is the christian priest that got captured.
You watched the whole season and liked the monk most? That's...quite baffling. He's quite literally useless, especially in the second half of the season when [sp]all he does is blankly stare at everythign[/sp]
I also want to see what happens in England, not some war between Jarls.
To be fair, the show isn't called Englishmen :v:
I like the concept of a christian monk being trapped in Scandinavia where everyone is a heathen to him. Being between 2 religions and people makes up for an interesting situation although they don't explore it that much. Well, I don't want to see more of England alone. I want to see how they advance in England. I read the viking series from Bernard Cornwell and it has tons of similarities and I secretly hope that the Danish start to invade England. I don't know but I think the core is about these people raiding england. With the ending of season 1 it seems like they will focus a lot on the war between the jarls.

Every time they say shieldwall I want to slap something, just anything, they need to alter it a bit more. They almost make it look like it's some sort of super ability that magically allows them to win every fight.
well it was the most effective fighting formation at the time, but the problem is, they're not even really doing a shieldwall
I know this but, the one they make is cringe at best, which sums up with the rest of your sentence.
The S02E05 ending was probably the manliest female scene ever.
So I watched the first 4 episodes of season 2 and it got a lot more interesting. I really like how everything unfolded and I'm curious to see what will happen in the future.

Now that was a satisfying episode!
Wow I actually like King Egbert a lot. Both the character and the actor playing him.
man do i need to catch up on this show
that episode was awesome
I have to say that the last episode was brilliant, really exceeded my expectations. The characters felt so fleshed out and a lot more interesting. I'm actually excited to see what's going to happen. Also Egbert seems like a cool guy.
King Egbert is a bro
king brogbert
Save artifacts and knowledge of ancient times? He's a bro in my book, no matter how power hungry he may be for his tiny little kingdom.
It just occurred to me that [sp]Ragnar will probably burn down all of those scrolls and art later in the season[/sp]
Well, from the 3 episodes I watched till' now I can say that this show is brilliant. Nice actors, nice costumes, nice beards. I hope this sticks on....... Also,am I the only one who hates that fricking viking midget puppet of the Jarl? What was his name? Svain!
I don't remember a puppet
figurative puppet, as in a yes-man, it was that guy with the huge beard
Ohhh, yeah, that annoying guy.
Yea,thats the guy......Midget... Can someone please explain me what in Odin's name is The Seer? He's certainly not human,so what is he? He looks like some mythic creature or so........
He's human. Just deformed looking. Despite all the mythology and "visions" in the show, it sticks to being mostly realistic.
new ep tonight guess who can't watch because he's like 5 eps behind
nothing like vikings to help forget that I'm alone and no one wants to be with me
The ending was so good in last episode but so painful to watch if you get my meaning. Episode was nice in it's own ways too, obviously can't spoil.
