'Major Tom' by Peter Schilling
what series would you guys recommend? i loved breaking bad and haven't really watched any of the other recent popular TV series' like the walking dead or dexter or whatever else.
Dexter's good if you exclude everything after the second season. Game of Thrones is fantastic, as is the Soprano's and Battlestar Galactica.
The Wire is my favourite TV show, Breaking Bad probably coming second, then Game of Thrones
you murrican's are good at TV
Got to admire a show that basically pulls a big fuck you to censorship and weak TV shows, while still being perfectly realistic

If you watch Dexter, stop after season 4. It'll be hard, but trust me. Game of Thrones is daunting to get into because there's so much, but when you get the hang of who people are and what their motivations are, it becomes a blast.

Wrong one, should've specified sorry. I mean when he's in his house before he gets a visit.
(Also the comments on that video are amazing).

After the second season? Ha. Show is barely even worth watching without season 4.
People say stop after four, I didn't. I'm on six now. I had no problems with five, but six has its flaws.

This one?
Aw man, I just finished "Phoenix". Probably my favorite episode so far. It felt like it was only 20 minutes long to me.
The ending scene where Walter [sp] goes into Jesse's apartment and watches Jane die was REALLY powerful stuff. I'm just wondering how Jesse's gonna take it. :( [/sp]
Here's a little bit of trivia on that episode- it MAY be minor spoilers for whats ahead but I wouldn't be fussed about it
[sp] Apparently walter wasn't just meant to watch Jane die in that scene, but was meant to kill her himself, by flipping her over onto her back so she choked on her own vomit. Vince thought this was too dark for Walt at that time, but its a good indicator of where he wants the character to go. [/sp]
In season 5 he would totally do it.
In season 5 he would totally do it.
[sp] In season 5 he'd probably have her killed by a hitman when she started being a problem in the first place. [/sp]
Yeah I thought [season 1, 2, 3, 4 spoilers] [sp] Jane dying was an indicator of Walt becoming Heisenberg. Season 1 Walt, even after Crazy 8, would have helped her. Walt gets progressively more cruel and kingpin like at the end of each season (season 1, facing off with Tuco) (season 2, not helping Jane, not going to Holly's birth to sell the meth) (season 3, running over and more importantly, shooting the dealer in the head and killing Gale) (season 4, killing Gus, he becomes Heisenberg outright in Crawl Space) [/sp]
[sp]it's been a while so I might be wrong but I think I remember walt showing some despair at Jane's death, like 'oh god' in his face[/sp]

That's correct.

[sp]Yet he refused to help her.[/sp]
[sp]Yet he refused to help her.[/sp]
[sp]that's still such a confusing scene to me. did he do it because he wanted jesse to himself?[/sp]
[sp]that's still such a confusing scene to me. did he do it because he wanted jesse to himself?[/sp]
[sp]He did it because Jane was dangerous, the way she demanded Jesse's money and how she would run off with Jesse. She also knew too much about Walt.[/sp]

[sp]ah of course, i forgot about the whole blackmailing thing.[/sp]
I rewatched Season 4 in the last few days.
Definitely my favourite season and probably the best overall. Crawl Space, goddamn.

Best acting by Cranston ever. Only season he didn't get an emmy for either.

Combination of everything really, acting, cinematography and sound fx. Deeper into the rabbit hole or digging his own grave was what the imagery subconsciously evoked in me.
I wore my Heisenberg tshirt to sixth form today, and my film studies teacher, as it turns out, loves Breaking Bad. We had a huge conversation about what might happen!

in hindsight buying a heisenberg tshirt may not have worked out so well for me considering I'm in England
