So I started to watch this show and [sp]Holy shit that was a lot of things I didn't expect, fucking nudism, blood, I thought it was all drugs things[/sp]
Just watched last night's episode with my younger brother.
"Oh, that's how they're going to end it? We seriously have to wait a week after that? Oh. OK. Great. GREAT. FUCKING BRILLIANT."
I'm just happy he's gotten into the show so much.
I think next week's episode will be great, but judging by the fact that episode 14 is titled "Ozymandias", I have the worst feeling that shit is going to hit the fan completely in that episode. Especially since the teaser trailer for season 5B was Walt reading the poem the title is based on.
Guaranteed [sp]someone is going to die, anyone really. When Walt called Todd it already clicked someone will get shot.[/sp]
Oh, the [sp]tears of everyone with "Team Hank" believing he is the hero and good guy are delicious.[/sp]
[sp]It's obvious he was going to "break bad" eventually anyway, it's central to the show's theme that everyone has a point where their morals go out the window.[/sp]
[sp]Walt Jr.'s breaking point is being denied breakfast[/sp]
So Walt [sp]really had honest intentions when meeting Jesse? And if it weren't for that menacing guy with his daughter they would've talked it out? Oh boy.[/sp]

Nudism?
After watching todays episode i came to the conclusion of at no point can this show end without me crying like a bitch.
This season is pretty good but there's one thing I'm not buying.
Guess I'll sp this [sp]Why would Walt keep the book that Gale gave him after the scene where Hank discusses the initials in Gale's notes with Walt? Hank finds the book on the toilet, then Walt miraculously remembers it and looks for it as he's puking. Seems a bit contrived. Walt has gone to great lengths to cover up his criminal activity, why would he leave something so damning in his house, where his DEA brother-in-law visits frequently?[/sp]
[sp]Hubris (pride). Walt's ego was greatly stroked by Gale, so that book was one of the most meaningful things in his life.[/sp]
EDIT: [sp]it's the same as when Gale died, and Hank was saying that Gale was Heisenberg, and Walt's pride made him tell Hank that Heisenberg is still out there.[/sp]
EDIT: [sp]Walt's immense pride stems from living more than half of his life repressing his feelings of powerlessness and underachievement. This is shown through the whole Grey Matter fiasco, as well as Hank continually making fun of him for not being able to handle a weapon, and the fact that he's just a high school teacher (no offence to teachers, you guys are important, but Walt is a genius, way overqualified for that)[/sp]
So Walt [sp]really had honest intentions when meeting Jesse? And if it weren't for that menacing guy with his daughter they would've talked it out? Oh boy.[/sp]
He really [sp]wanted to talk. But whether he would be genuine and honest - that's an entirely different matter. I would really love to hear that discussion, how Walter would get so riddled with his lies to the point that he could started saying truth.[/sp]
i did enjoy [sp]seeing yet another crotch shot of Walt in this episode though[/sp]
He really [sp]wanted to talk. But whether he would be genuine and honest - that's an entirely different matter. I would really love to hear that discussion, how Walter would get so riddled with his lies to the point that he could started saying truth.[/sp]
[sp]The fact that Walter was so very hesitant to cross the line of killing Jesse proves that he still cared/cares a bit. I'm just wondering to what extant. I wonder if he wants Jesse to be happy and healthy, or if he couldn't care less about how he's doing even though he wont kill him.(I'm speaking in terms of before he called up Todd's uncle) I can't even blame Walt at this point for potentially putting a hit on Jesse. Jesse is a loose cannon, and Walt did want to talk him down. But now Jesse made a very vague but very dangerous threat. Walt doesn't know where or when to expect him, and he fears for his family.[/sp]
To people complaining about [sp]the guy Jesse thought was a hitman who turned out to be just a random guy: Jesse was so paranoid and freaked out at that point, he would've done what he did regardless. Even if that specific man wasn't there, he would've noticed some other bystander and had the same reaction.[/sp]

[sp]Hank said that Jesse's confession didn't have any proof to back it up, but there are details he knew that only the DEA or someone involved could know. The DEA was investigating Mike and Lydia, but it wasn't public knowledge. The very fact that Jesse talked about working with them proves he is connected with Heisenberg, along with things like shooting Gale. All of that combined with the Leaves of Grass book and the fact that Jesse was caught by Hank dousing Walt's house in gasoline has to count for something. It might not be enough to prove to a judge that Walter is Heisenberg, but it should definitely be enough for the DEA to take seriously. Jesse being inside Walter's house in the first place, ready to burn it down, isn't something anyone could ignore.[/sp]
Here's something to rev up those people that believe Walt takes something from everyone he kills.
[sp]In the flashforward of Live Free or Die, Walt takes his coffee black. In Rabid Dog, Jesse takes his coffee black as well.[/sp]
Probably nothing, but it's enough to drive a few people crazy.
[sp]i'm pretty sure walt drinks his coffee black. when walt jr said he wanted black coffee walt was impressed and said something like "i like it". i doubt he can pick up a trait he already has.[/sp]

But after [sp]Hank received that tape he knows that he need a really solid evidence, one that could easily debunk Walt's confession. With Jesse's version Walt could easily explain that Jesse was bullied by Hank, that he made him to counter Walt's confess. Honestly, but beside the fact that Hank has a good reputation as DEA agent, Walt's version is still more believable, especially with those funny coincidences that confirms it.
The best thing is that Hank is acting really shady and mysterious, and even Gomie notices that (he was surprised that he didn't care about Jesse). It all works to Hank disadvantage.
I'm actually curious how much Gomie knows. Maybe the fact that we didn't saw their conversation is important, maybe he will turn his back on Hank?[/sp]
[sp]"You're full of colourful metaphors, aren't you Saul? Belize, Old Yeller, just brimming with advice"[/sp]
[sp]you know i honestly thought the radio transmitter that was suggested by saul would give away jesses wire tap, I was so sure of this[/sp]
Also why do we need these damn spoiler tags, people shouldn't be reading the thread if they aren't up to date, it's common sense, since its all blacked out anyway...

also it doesnt help with that fact i don't know how to use any tags apparently
Spoiler tags are [sp ] [/sp ].
Does anyone feel this episode was the worst this season?
It's not that it is bad, it's that all the others were so amazing.

Every episode can't be explosive it'd be a terrible pace overall, and that definitely doesn't mean it was boring it flew by just like every other episode for me
Dunno about you but it had me on the edge of my seat? Was Jesse really gonna do this?
I'm getting sick of people calling this show boring.
Especially for this season. So far season 5 has been the least boring season of the entire show. The plot is moving like a speeding bullet consistently with each episode.

Just because you may have marathoned it on Netflix in a few days and now have to wait between episodes, does not make it boring.
Whos calling it boring? I don't see anyone saying that
The second episode and the last one were slow. But the way I see it they were bridge episodes which are just there to connect the major developments in the season. If the entire season was 100 percent intense and jaw dropping scenes then none of it would be.

They weren't even "slow." They were quicker paced than most of the episodes in past seasons. Yeah they aren't breakneck fast, but they're definitely above average. I don't think anyone who's been watching the show week-by-week and not through netflix would call these episodes boring.

also was this episode [sp] the first episode where Jesse calls Walter Walter, instead of just Mr. White? [/sp]
