Still, an American drama with only a single filler episode in a 5 season run. That's pretty awesome. I've personally never seen a show before that has accomplished that.
Fly is one of my favorite episodes.
is it okay to keep posting these because they fucking kill me

I appreciated it much more after finding out it was a bucket episode, to see they'd pulled such a feat off with such little resources
One thing that I'm still waiting for [sp]is me hating Walt. Don't get me wrong, I know he's a bad person and he did a lot of evil stuff but for me there still wasn't that moment. Some act that makes me want him to fail/die. I know he's not going to end up well but that's about it. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, maybe we aren't supposed to hate him but see him as the bad guy he is. I could list many things that should make me hate him but none of them was enough.[/sp]
I think part of the reason for that is because everything Walt has done, all of his decisions and actions, we've seen from the spectators' point of view. And essentially, every time he's done something we've been privvy to all the facts of WHY. It's all been so 'fluid' and justifyable, unlike other TV shows where a character just DOES something and you wind up hating them because you simply have no idea, whether you acknowledge that or not.
In a way, it's brilliant. We really SHOULD hate Walt at this point, but I bet you anything the majority of viewers still feel sorry for him and are still rooting for him... It's just the way we've seen and experienced the character developing. Almost everything he's done seems 'right' or 'understandable' in a sense.

[sp]That's exactly how I felt most of the way through the show. Whether it was letting Jane die, running over two guys and shooting one, poisoning Brock, or killing Gale, it was all for a reason. It was all done to protect people. Mike is the exception to that. There was no logic or protection going on, it was impulse and ego. The jail killings are borderline. It was a preventative measure for an issue that was not life threatening. I probably would have tried to defend it had it happened before Mike's death. After he killed Mike though, I just stopped justifying any of his actions.[/sp]

[sp]Well, it was Mike who taught him to never do half measures after all. So Walt wanted to go all the way to secure his safety, but Mike would have killed him if he tried to do something funny with the prisoners, who could crack at any moment (And I think someone did, I can't really remember). Thus, Mike had to take a trip to Belize.[/sp]
The Fly episode is literally the most talked about bottle episode of all time. Obviously they did something right.
wasnt the fly episode sort of an unneeded episode?
According to creator Vince Gilligan, this was a "bottle episode." Because the season was already "hopelessly over budget," it became necessary to create an episode with minimal production costs. By filming in one location and using the fewest number of actors in the series to date, "Fly" cost substantially less than the average episode.
"unneeded"
except it speaks volumes about jesse and walter and their relationship L o L!

probably late but this is amazing
What are those? Where are they being posted?
They're being posted on facebook. I hate all these stupid images and hashtags. I was hoping Breaking Bad would be spared after the atrocious Talking Dead. But no, we just had to give Chris Harddick another stupid talk show for him to spew out childish innuendo and other unfunny jokes.
I mean these things were stupid from the beginning, but the lasagna one was the absolute worst. The people hired to make and post these are stupider than the people running the official himym page, and that's saying a lot.

I don't feel sorry for him anymore, the Walter White people felt sympathetic about is gone. I am still rooting for him though and probably will 'til the end.

In less than four hours of TV time Breaking Bad will be over.

Didn't want to spoil in the news thread [sp]but this just immediately reminded me of Walts confession tape. He even says "this video will act as my confession".[/sp]

It's not the last episode yet, is it?
