what no it's showing how walt was a simple underachieving family man who broke bad (because cancer blabla) and ended up becoming lord of the abq. the first episodes make it obvious walt just wanted to make some money and that'd be that, he only got so caught up in it all because he realized he was amazing at cooking meth and could finally feel power.
I didn't say it happened instantaneously. It was a very gradual process. But by season five it's pretty clear that there is supposed to be no question in your mind that about the only redeeming quality Walt has left is [sp]his reluctance to kill family. NOT killing someone is about the most morally responsible decision he's made.[/sp] [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] Like I understand rooting for the bad guy. Bad guys are cool. Darth Vader is cool. I like Walt, as a villain. I've got a poster of him. But trying to act like they're not a bad guy is silly. Vince is pulling out all the stops. only reason [sp]he killed Mike was to make people who like the bad guys hate him because he killed the even-cooler bad guy for no reason[/sp] [editline]12th September 2013[/editline] and having one or two positive qualities doesn't make him "not good or bad" either. Not every bad person has to be baby-raping Hitler. This show has a marvelous history of moral ambiguity, yes. But in Walt's case, he evolved from antihero to villain
it's still hard to look at him and think "wow what an awful person" (when he isn't doing all the evil shit) because we know his history as a good guy. i like to think that if someone with no knowledge of breaking bad could look at a new ep and think "wow he's so cruel is he the bad guy (even if he is pretty cool)" i also like to imagine what random people think when they see him, with the shades and the heisenberg hat. i think some people would see him and think "whoa whos that he looks like a rapist", completely oblivious to the truth of his past
It's good to have perspective but that doesn't change what he's doing now, you can apply the same argument to most real life cases of "bad guys". I mean I still have empathy for him. But he's a cock, also. It's a weird relationship. That's why it's great. I just feel like if you explain away and justify everything he does you're really missing out on that love-to-hate relationship this show does so well.
"Have an A-1 day." Their car wash is called A1A Car Wash.
IRL the warwash they use is called "octopus wash". I drove past it once. Most of the locations for the show are within 5 miles or so of it too. Sauls office, the laundramat, ect. I couldnt find where walts house was, but it was still pretty awesome.
Breaking Bad V3: Where all the images are reposts from reddit
Now all we need is several hundred people posting the Ozymandias poem again and again and I'll be able to unsub from that place.

The address is 3828 Piermont Drive Albuquerque, New Mexico 87111

Thank god for /r/breakingbad, what else would we post without it?
dunno why it would be an 80s prequel, i would't imagine the show being any earlier than turn of the century. that being said, that was a well-made intro for an 80s-esque brba show.

You know, before the series ends I want to see one more flashback. Doesn't matter what about, but something from the past that could be relevant to given situation. We have never see Jesse as a student and Walt as a teacher situation. Something like that could work as a cold opening.

Graded an F with the words "Ridiculous! Apply yourself" in red. Jesse: Yo Mr. White, why'd you give me an F? Walt: C'mon Jesse, you and I both know you didn't do this work yourself. Jesse: Yo I got your work right here, bitch. Walt: This is the second time I've caught you cheating, Jesse. You know that...you can't keep getting away with this. Cue intro.
Saw this on Reddit. http://i.imgur.com/TcCa6xr.png Somebody's theory of what could happen next episode. It sounds fucking amazing and I wouldn't be upset if everything that is there happened. Because right now I don't know how anybody in Walts family could die, but this shows how it could happen.
Never saw this posted, also Season 5 Spoilers
[sp]It's a joke[/sp]
And like an idiot I just sat and watched 15 minutes of it hahaha. What I find interesting is that when he made the video, it isn't just some script-based random mashing of clips, he's actually gone in and customised various bits. Like coming back to Hank and that wasteful 20-shot barrage OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Quality shit.
So far the accepted ending of BrBa is [sp]Hank will die, Gomez will die, Jesse will be captured, kept prisoner to cook meth, Marie will try to kill Skyler and Walt, Walt kills Marie, Walt rescues Jesse from the Nazis using M60[/sp] Am I missing something?
