When it affects its parents in some stupid way that either drives them apart, causes stupid shit to happen, or holds back the protagonist by acting like some ~moral grounding~.

Speaking of heart problems, breaking bad in a way saved my life as it showed to me i had several (wolf parkinson's, svt, and something else) due to how fast my heart was racing while watching it
