I'm not saying he doesn't have his reasons, some of which may be legit, but I don't care. He fucked Walt over way too many times, from the little things like dumping water on the generator [sp]all the way up to betraying Walt by leading Hank to Walt and his subsequent demise.[/sp]
[sp]Dumping water on a generator, leaving keys in ignition, attempting to kill two drug dealers, leading Hank to Walt.
Blackmailing Jesse to cook meth, letting Jane die, forcing Jesse to expand territory, poisoning a child.
Those are just a few actions from each person. On Jesse's side, only one action was done intentionally to harm/control Walter. On Walter's side, only one action was not intentionally done to harm/control Jesse.
There are more examples, but when it comes down to it: Walt thinks through most things beforehand, and almost every time he hurt Jesse it was on purpose. Jesse doesn't think things through all the time(which is a flaw, but it's not evil), and almost every time he hurt Walt or got him into trouble it was unintentional. The one time he intentionally hurt Walt, he totally had it coming.[/sp]
People also reference [sp]the two guys form half-measures when blaming Jesse for every problem in season 4. But Jesse was acting on his own, he was going to kill them or die trying, and he didn't care. He didn't call Walter, he didn't ask him for help. He wasn't going to get Walter involved. Walter took it upon himself to act. In that scenario, Jesse was only responsible for the trouble he got himself into, not the trouble Walt got into. Oh yeah, not to mention the guys killed a child for being useless to them. Jesse should totally have just kept the peace as kids were being killed.[/sp]
So did Jesse.
Do you think he would have approached someone like Krazy 8 or Tuco?
Jesse refused to go to Tuco, saying it would only be trouble for them. Walt forced him to anyways.

I meant initially, on the ride along, if the cook that got away from the raid was someone like Tuco or Krazy 8 instead of Jesse, do you think he would have had the guts to track down and approach either of them?

Blaming Walter's problems on Jesse because he happened to be running away from a house is literally as bad as blaming the Holocaust on Jews existing in the first place. Walter followed Jesse home, told him to team up with him or else he'd call the police. Totally Jesse's fault.
No but are you saying it's jesse's fault because he was coincidentally walt's student

I'm just saying.. Jesse willingly contributed to a trade that, on the other side of the tracks, involves children being dealers, being killed, and being neglected by the addict parents who use his product. He clearly knew the kind of ruthless, insane criminals that were involved in the business. He's not off the hook for anything that's happened and he's right where he belongs in the latest episode.

Jesse has never been okay with any of those things happening. [sp]When a kid was killed because of the drug trade, he went after those who killed him. But that gets him blamed for "not keeping the peace." You blame him for being okay with child murder, and you blame him for trying to stop child murder. You realize now he's actually trying to bring down a drug lord for hurting too many people in his wake. So which is it? Does he deserve his punishment for being a drug dealer, or for turning in one?[/sp]

It's too late for that. He's in way too deep. He should have walked away when he had the chance, before he began working for Gus.

How could he have walked away when Walter had him on a leash?
Thank god I decided to watch this last night when I had time and get 4 hours of sleep instead of today, I go to school and I'm sitting in the library on the computer writing shit down and as I'm thinking I pull back and spin quickly on the wheelie chair and what do I see the second I do? [sp]Hank being shot in the head and then Walt crying[/sp] god it came out of nowhere. Then I had to meet someone for a presentation, as I'm walking out of the library I quickly turn my head and see [sp]Skylar trying to stab Walt[/sp] fucking all these people watching Breaking Bad at school, they told me College would be fun but fuck man it's dangerous.
Also like I mentioned before can we please stop insulting the show with this black and white crap? Walt is not Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, he is god damn Walter White who uses a fake name for making meth, anything he does is still god damn Walt, just because his experiences have changed him doesn't make him less Walt, by that logic I should change my name because I'm not the same person people saw me as 2 years ago. Like honestly I find it insulting to Vince and the show, we go on about how amazing it is but then we go "omg!! he is full Heisenberg now!!" black and white junk every episode (usually it's not this bad but damn this episode has 500 people saying it.) Walt is a human who has had varying experiences ranging from good to bad to form how he is right now, he isn't fucken transforming mid episode with a hat and sunglasses growing out of his head with some cold deep evil robotic voice saying "I'm Heisenberg!!!!", I don't know but I just find it insulting to the show.
Honestly we have 2 episodes left, I'd rather see good discussion then the same shit repeated every episode on Walts apparent full on transformation.

Remember his "Get out of jail free card"?
He chose to reenter the business once Walter gave Jesse status he never earned, ie., 50/50 partners.

First of all, he did earn it. Second of all, who talked Jesse into reentering the business?
First of all, he did earn it. Second of all, who talked Jesse into reentering the business?
Walt did. He didn't have to accept. The RV was crushed and Jesse was home free. Yeah, he'd have to go back to school or get an honest job, or try making it on his own in the meth biz, but he decided to hop on board with Walt and elevate their game to cartel levels.
How did he earn it? By showing up late and stoned to their initial meeting with Gus? By getting stoned on heroin and nearly fucking up the $1.2mil deal? By leading Hank right to the RV? Oh, let's not forget about how he was going to sue and "haunt" Hank for simply doing his job, catching the bad guys.
so i started watching breaking bad about 4 weeks ago and i'm now finally caught up to the latest episode.
the fact that i can no longer watch a new episode whenever i feel like it feels awful

However, now you don't have have to worry about spoilers anymore if you watch the premiers, and you can join in on the discussion and hype. Just be glad you didn't catch up when it was still between seasons. Waiting nearly a year is torture.

A week is nothing compared to the year long wait after cliffhangers like the Season 3 finale or the Season 5A finale.
[sp]I still feel like it hasn't hit me that Hank is dead for good yet. He was my favorite character.[/sp]

i can't stop listening to this

Team Flynn + ABQPD best team yes/yes?
Jesse apologists are just as bad as Walt apologists IMO.
Yes, clearly Jesse is the devil.
Of course it's not as black and white as that but it's like a lot of people forget that Jesse has done a bunch of bad stuff too or they think it's fine that he did it because he spends 20 episodes crying and staring into the distance like a pussy because he did it like that somehow makes it better. I know I'm in the minority thinking like this as evidenced by the number of people disagreeing with me/calling me dumb but I don't really give a darn. I like Jesse's character and everything but he is far from the moral center of the show and all of that jazz IMO.
this is just sad

The crying and staring into the distance is what makes all the difference. Walter kills someone and it doesn't have a lasting effect on him. Jesse kills someone and it eats him up inside. That doesn't make him "like a pussy," it means he has a conscience that is far more dominant that Walter's. No he's not a perfect white knight, but the fact that he acts "like a pussy" every time something bad happens does mean he has one of the strongest moral compasses in the show.
