[sp] Surely Walt will kill himself at the end, now. I think the recurring lines "It ends when I say it ends" and Walter Jnr saying "Why don't you just die already?" back that up, and I don't see why else he'd be getting the ricin, well, a couple of weeks ago I said it might be to poison the meth, but I'm not sure if the amount he has is enough to poison much, plus I'm not sure he'd get a lot of innocents killed just to fuck up the Nazis when he can just try kill them straight up.[/sp]

[sp]Poor Jesse. Fuck. I won't be surprised if he commits suicide or something next episode.[/sp]
I remember when before 5th season there was this idea circulating around the web, which was very convincing that [sp]Madrigal Electromotive was another company of Elliot and Gretchen, and they were founding drug dealing all along - and they were supposed to be next and final antagonists.[/sp] I was a bit disappointed when that didn't happened, like it was perfect loose thread to end. But then in S05E06 there was a slight mention [sp]saying that it was Walt's bitterness and regret that made him to go into empire business.[/sp] I thought it was clever and liked that callback to the first season. I've never saw that coming and I think it's the best cutting that loose end that was. Story comes full circle - [sp]Walt's pride and Gray Matter was a reason to become Heisenberg, the very same thing makes go out of the hiding.[/sp] I'm certain that it's not why Walt is going to use M60. If any [sp]he can try to make allegations about Gray Matter founding drug dealing true, just to hurt them more. That would be truly evil and masterminded.[/sp]
So, what loose ends are still untied?
Imagine the universe where Walter White exists. What his Wikipedia article would look like.
I'd like to see this. Articles for fictional characters written in-universe. Could be a neat idea
Just watched last night's episode. Man, that bit with [sp] Andrea [/sp] hit me harder than I thought it would. The episode was thoroughly entertaining, though. Can't wait until next week, but my expectations have never been higher.
[sp]Is it bad that I really didn't care that much when she died? Maybe it's just because I was expecting a lot of people to die this episode.[/sp] Also, [sp] Do you think Walt is actually going to try go after Grey Matter in any way, or was it just motivation for him to stop the nazis (and possibly Jesse)? It's possible he figured out that Jesse is still alive from the mention that blue meth is still being made, especially since also he knew the nazis had trouble making the meth blue, as they wanted him to show Todd how to cook.[/sp]
I was trying to remember where I'd seen the disappear guy and I just figured it out he was in Jackie Brown I think
I wanna see this happen
I'm going to fucking cry if they do that. I doubt they will but just in case. Oh, this could be fun. 62, the episode number, on the periodic table is Samarium, ingredient of Quadramet, an anti-lung/prostate/breast cancer drug.
[sp]I like to think the Gray Matter thing was just motivation. As many people have said, he thought his legacy was one of the few things he had left, so being left aside in what he considers one of his biggest achievements (not bigger than his meth empire I guess? I don't remember much from Elliot and Gretchen apart from Walt having his head stuck up his ass) makes him decide to set things straight, or at least as straight as he could make them. Maybe find a way to prove the Nazis killed Hank and Gomey, redeem himself by killing them and ending the meth supply.[/sp]
they're not gonna do a sopranos. vince gilligan knows how to satisfy
I'm pretty sure Bryan Cranston said something along the lines that it has a very definite ending "in Breaking Bad fashion".
Jesse [sp]Screaming in the car after Andrea was shot was one of the most brutal things I've ever seen on tv.[/sp]
I was trying to remember where I'd seen the disappear guy and I just figured it out he was in Jackie Brown I think
Yeah, I just re-watched Jackie Brown a few days ago, and it was cool seeing him again.
Yeah, I just re-watched Jackie Brown a few days ago, and it was cool seeing him again.
So did I Literally a few days ago I figured I'd watch Jackie Brown since I hadn't seen it for a long time. I got so weirded out when I saw [sp]Robert Forster as Saul's guy in Breaking Bad[/sp]
[sp]are you fuckign serious?! they fucking shot andrea?!!!?!?! [/sp]
the writers do really need to be commended for keeping the series so consistently good unlike the new writers for Dexter
I hope the finale is 2 hours
it sounded exactly like this to me. does anyone have a link to the clip so i can compare them? edit: don't understand why this is dumb, i'm just asking a question
[editline]23rd September 2013[/editline] 0:45
My parents were disappointed by last night's episode because it wasn't as "action-packed" as the one before it. I tried to explain how this is a big buildup to the finale but they didn't appreciate it as much as I did. I spent the entire episode on the edge of my seat, and nearly lost it [sp]when Andrea was shot[/sp]. Can't handle this show. Next week is going to be intense.
I want them to use this for the finale.
But they used the whole thing already in the last one
[sp]I like how it's Walt against Jack and Jesse against Todd. Todd for a while was basically Jesse 2.0, and they're both basically two sides of the same coin. Todd has no remorse or sense of right/wrong, while Jesse always has both. They're both the young "kids" working under a much older leader. Walt and Jack are also similar as far as their rank/position goes. The matchups are basically equal, but opposites.[/sp] [sp]As far as people asking how much time passed this episode, I'd say somewhere between 6 and 7 months. He had his 51st birthday earlier in the season, then there were two big passages of time. 4 months during the Walt/Todd cook montage. And then another month between him quitting the meth business and Hank finding out about him. Any time that passed after that wasn't very major. Honestly the time passage between Blood Money and Ozymandias was just days, probably not even a week. So that would leave a little less than 7 months until Walt's 52nd birthday. Given he just tipped off the police, I'm assuming he's heading straight to ABQ, he has no time to waste. Meaning now would be about 6/7 months after he left ABQ. The time passage is definitely weird. It's not like they did a bad job of it per say, it's just very hard to grasp because of the show's normal pace. When 5 or 6 months pass in a single episode, it's hard to realize "Oh we just skipped as much time as the first 3 seasons covered in 5 seconds." The cabin thing was done pretty well to show that off. But it didn't click as easily with the cook montage for some. The only indicator was a brief mention of 4 months in a conversation, same with the 1 month after Walt quit. It doesn't click as easily in your head as them showing you with the cabin.[/sp]
[sp]are you fuckign serious?! they fucking shot andrea?!!!?!?! [/sp]
[sp]At this point I started to fell bad for Jesse. I mean, fuck, His life is so full of shit, it ain't even funny anymore.[/sp] Also I loved the ending to todays episode. Calm, but bloody brilliant.
Am I the only one who thinks the last episode was a disappointment? After last week, it's such a bore imo...
Am I the only one who thinks the last episode was a disappointment? After last week, it's such a bore imo...
I understand the reaction, but remember, it's buildup for the finale. While it lacked the whamminess of Ozymandias, I thought it was absolutely fantastic in a different way. Goddamn it, what a great show. Glad I still got GoT's third season and over half of The Wire to watch because I'm gonna be a sad little panda when I finish watching the finale next week.
oh okay, thankyou. that sounds pretty much exactly like the fallout song
it's 3 very usual notes
Oh shit that scene with [sp]andrea[/sp], i have never really genuinely hated a fictional character before [sp]Todd[/sp].
