There's a definite theme of duality between Walt and Heisenberg.
A theme of duality yes, but it's not so binary that he straight up has a split personality.
He was always Walt, though.
I am the one who walts
jokes about Huell aside, what the actual fuck happened to Kuby? I kinda liked him actually
life lesson learned: [sp]artificial sweeteners are bad for you[/sp]

Apparently, Walt has QUITE a history of duality.
This is a bit of a stretch in the "theories" department but [sp]maybe the reason he wanted to die in the lab specifically was so people thought that he was the one making the meth the whole time. He did get shot, after all, and his former partner Jesse wasn't among the bodies because he didn't die. After all, nobody else knew that he was actually living in New Hampshire the whole time, and it seemed like Gretchen and Elliot specifically thought that "Heisenberg" was still out there (not Walt because caring, etc) because of all the blue meth at the same purity as his other cooks. Perhaps he died in the lab to make it look more like Jesse did it instead of himself, a dispute between partners, perhaps? One last boost to his pride, I guess.[/sp]
That was good.
[sp]reasonably[/sp]
Also [sp]was Walt driving Jesse's old car from the earlier seasons?[/sp]

Holy shit
that looks like jesses old apartment. The one with Jane.

[sp]That, or the police would be convinced that Walt was the Nazi's cook and some other interloper killed them all. This puts Jesse off the hook, because as far as everybody currently alive knows (aside from maybe Saul and his lackeys,) Walt is the only person capable of cooking meth of that quality. This ties everything up neatly for investigators; Walt was the cook, and the blue meth production died with Heisenberg.[/sp]
[sp] I feel bad for Walt Jr. Walt just made his life even worse, even with the money everyone he loved and admired has been killed either mentally or physically. Walt Jr's may resort to drugs to deal with his lack of guidance, using the money given to him to buy crystal meth and eventually become another version of Jesse, who's life was ruined due to him having no real father figure.[/sp]
i read through some of the quotes from earlier and wow this show changed, it's surreal looking back on things like the fly ep when he talks about sitting in a bar with jane's dad
The end of breaking bad makes me feel sort of nostalgic in a way.
I'm not sure if I want to rewatch the series or not. I kind of miss all of the characters and want to experience it again, but it might not be the same the second time if I already know what the outcome is. Anyone else planning on re watching it?
I've rewatched it.
just as awesome, especially if you watch it with someone who hasn't already.

ahhhhh, [sp]i'd forgotten why jesse was making a wooden box in his 'dream' in Felina, so glad i've re-read that quote[/sp]
Just watched the last episode.
It was great, it was satisfying and intense. Although I wished that they streched it a bit longer. The end came really abruptly and everything went down so fast. A longer episode would have been neat, but this was also really great.

Funfact: I took that kind of shit just before i watched the finale.
And in both cases i ended up perfectly content.
watched granite state and felina back to back...
i can't put in to words how amazing that ending was. couldn't be more content with how amazing that was
Man I just keep rewatching the ending.
Also Walt was already in the restaurant when Lydia sat down. [sp]He had already put the ricin packet on her table.[/sp]
favourite part was when [sp]Walt tackles Jesse, holds the car key up, the Nazi's are laughing.. and then one solid minute of shooting[/sp]
Also what was [sp]Todd going to say? And why refer to walt as Mr White when he just tore your family/friends apart?[/sp]
man, this quote of walt is really the best:
[sp]Walter White: I'm saying that I lived too long. You want them to actually miss you. You want their memories of you to be... but she just won't... she just won't understand. I mean, no matter how well I explain it, these days she just has this... this... I mean, I truly believe there exists some combination of words. There must exist certain words in a certain specific order that can explain all of this, but with her I just can't ever seem to find them. [/sp]
i think he was just shellshocked from what happened

[sp]Probably the same reason that Jesse still said "Mr.White" when he went to Saul's office after finding the truth about Brock. He was a mentor to both of them, same reason you call your teacher by their last name.[/sp]
[sp]That - and after the massacre, I think Todd was just really REALLY confused.[/sp]
-snip-
[sp] I thought it was funny that the last time we ever hear someone say Mr. White is in the middle of a murder sandwich. [/sp]
I'm pretty satisfied with this episode.
It reminds me somewhat of Dave Bowman visiting his girlfriend in Disneytown.

[sp]Todd's pretty sociopathic. He's probably more disconnected from emotion than anyone on the show. He almost seemed impressed towards the end, like he was literally about to compliment him or something right before Jesse got him.[/sp]
People are still asking what Felina means, [sp]they did play that Marty Robbins song right at the beginning of the episode. And the episode more or less fits with the song.[/sp]

very very very slight spoiler
todd has cheeky ringtones for all his meth friends, too bad we only got to see 2 :(

Yeah, why is everyone having such a hard time grasping this? Walt makes the best meth in multiple countries, he has a nobel prize for his genius work in chemistry, he makes bell bombs and TF2 turrets, he manipulated a brilliant drug kingpin and ended up killing him and taking over his empire.. I'm pretty sure he can take apart a packet of Stevia and put it neatly back together again. Lydia sits in the exact same chair that she sat in the last time she met at that exact same restaurant with Walt and Walt is in he diner before either Lydia or Todd. He clearly placed that single packet there and removed the rest so she'd have to use it. Put 2 and 2 together.
I don't want to sound like I'm flaming here, but I swear there's a large portion of people who watch this show that have the attention span of a stoned cat that's dozing off. You literally have to have a Popup Video style overlay explaining every subtle detail. ...As if Walt being in the foreground was subtle.
