I'd like to think the reason that scene was there is that Jesse will go on to pursue woodworking and live happily with Brock.
no he was just delusional
Goodbye Breaking Bad. I'm looking forward to whatever projects Vince Gilligan may have in the future.
Already been posted I'm sure but I think it's especially disheartening now: sadness
I think the best thing about the ending was [sp]Walt wasn't beaten. The cops didn't get him, the Nazi's, Jesse, even Cancer. He died at his own hands - he wasn't defeated. I love that he went out on his own terms [/sp]
"I won."
[sp]Except this time, by achieving his spoken and actual goals (providing for his family, and notoriety), he really did.[/sp]
[sp]Guys, I don't think he intended to get hit with his own bullets.[/sp]
[sp]Yeah, his death was kinda weird. He got hit by a ricochet, didn't he? He wasn't even killed by his own hand, just random chance.[/sp]
[sp]Guys, I don't think he intended to get hit with his own bullets.[/sp]
No [sp]his intention was to kill the nazi's then get arrested, he even said that himself. The point is, he wasn't beaten by any threat to him. Think of all the things that threaten his life, cancer, nazi's, police (jail until death), lydia, gus, no one beat him.
"I liked it. I was good at it."
He didn't go out on his own terms exactly, but he went out undefeated, pride in tact. There's probably no other character out there that deserved to lose or get caught as much as Walt, yet we were still on his side. The fact that he died by his own hands was fucking brilliant. Marie said, "he thinks he's some criminal mastermind" and the fact that no one beat him proves that he actually was in my opinion.
I think that's why he died smiling. He was in a lab and he was the best there was.[/sp]
[sp]I thought he intended to just set the gun off and get killed along with everyone else, but when he saw Jesse he knew he couldn't let that happen[/sp]
[sp]Yeah, why is everyone having such a hard time grasping this? Walt makes the best meth in multiple countries, he has a nobel prize for his genius work in chemistry, he makes bell bombs and TF2 turrets, he manipulated a brilliant drug kingpin and ended up killing him and taking over his empire.. I'm pretty sure he can take apart a packet of Stevia and put it neatly back together again. Lydia sits in the exact same chair that she sat in the last time she met at that exact same restaurant with Walt and Walt is in he diner before either Lydia or Todd. He clearly placed that single packet there and removed the rest so she'd have to use it. Put 2 and 2 together.[/sp]
I don't want to sound like I'm flaming here, but I swear there's a large portion of people who watch this show that have the attention span of a stoned cat that's dozing off. You literally have to have a Popup Video style overlay explaining every subtle detail. ...As if Walt being in the foreground was subtle.
I'm usually pretty shit at predicting how the story will turn out, especially compared to my step-brother who I watch this show alongside with an that always manages pretty well at predicting plot twists... however this one time I felt pretty damn proud that I called this out to him the very second I saw [sp]the camera zoom in on Lydia pouring the small packet of Stevia in the cup, after Walt noting her predictability because she never changes her routines.[/sp]
(Ps: I put your post in spoiler tags just in case)
I don't think anyone's pointed it out yet. I love the contrast between early season Walt and Walt from last nice, in regards to [sp]how his family gets the money. When he had the $600,000 he refused to give it to his family in any way unless it was known it came from his hard earned effort. But by the finale he didn't care how his family got it. The money almost spites him, being given by his old partners. He just wants his kids to be well off.[/sp]

I think it's more of a contrast between pre-New Hampshire Walt and post-New Hampshire Walt. He clearly did a lot of soul-searching out there. Came to a lot of realizations about himself.

Battle Creek.
Battle Creek.
an adaption of my second favourite halo map
Whats everyone think of the Saul goodman spin off series, Its Vince Gilligan's next project and set before Saul meets Walt and goes through all the stories of his shady clients. Wonder if Huell will be in it.

I'm definitely down for it. The thing we have to remember is that although there are some connections to the BrBa story we can't compare the show unfairly when it does air. I don't want to have too high of expectations and get disappointed because it's not BrBa.
I also love how the viewers for Low Winter Sun is going to plummet due to no one being tuned in during that time block.
-snip yep I was late-
yes because [sp]lydia would call the cops to her own meth operation. good one
[sp]Well she was just informed of her own impending death. If I knew I was going to die and all of my associates were dead and there was nothing I could do about it, I would probably call the cops on Walt too as a final "Fuck you."[/sp]

the whole 4 days out episode was just foreshadowing for the ending
Funny enough that was the first episode I ever watched of BB and still one of my favorites.
[sp]while waiting for the finale i was expecting walt to just gun everyone down (as stupid as that is) but the fact that he kills the nazis and sets things right with SCIENCE is the best way it could have happened[/sp]
as much as I hate Jack [sp] him taking one last drag of his cigarette was pretty bad ass [/sp]
[sp]before he said like "if you want your money you won't shoot me" or whatever, I thought he was just going to be like "wait wait *drags cigarette* ok i'm ready".
either way, Walt should've shot him when he reached for the cigarette, cutting him off like Jack did with Hank.[/sp]

I thought it was pretty obvious as soon as [sp]she picked up the only packet of Stevia and even more obvious when you could see Walt sitting in the background.[/sp]
[sp]Poor Todd, I liked him a lot, it was quite a brutal death. His response after all the killing was quite unexpected. I expected that he would immediately jump on Walt. But he was like "wow, you're such a nasty genius". [/sp]
[sp]Poor Todd, he got so fucked over at the end. I liked him a lot, it was quite a brtual death. His response after all the killing was quite unexpected. I expected that he would immediately jump on Walt. But he was like "wow, you're such a nasty genius". [/sp]
you didn't understand todd at all
(((( he was the one doing all the fucking over ))))
I still found myself sad from [sp] Todd's demise. [/sp]
He was a sociopath, murdering fuckwit. But man was he adorable.
