skyler is ok
These kind of comments are the worst. It's just a series. God damnit! You can support any character you want. It's not like i'm a bad person for thinking Heisenberg is awesome and Skyler can go fuck herself for all i care about. It's made for entertainment and i feel more entertained by Walt being a badass than by Skyler being a bitch and ruining his business. Everyone has the right to watch the show the way they want. "should not watch breaking bad sorry". Yeah, and you should stop breathing, sorry.
sorry but if you think "heisenberg" is a badass and skyler is a bitch then you dont grasp the depth of the show
Nothing she ever said or did was as bad as what Walt did. Yes she did jump on board with the laundering, but that doesn't mean she instantly deserves all the hate. If you're gonna hate on Skyler, you should hate on Walt equally if not more.
Well it's still a fact Marie + Skylar = crazy hoes Walt + Hank = alpha men
"all women are inherently psychopaths."
was willing to agree to disagree until this part
Well it's still a fact Marie + Skylar = crazy hoes Walt + Hank = alpha men
Marie and Skyler are both concerned wives who are kept almost entirely in the dark about what their husbands are getting up to. Even when Skyler finds out what Walt is doing he reveals so few details that she has to assume the worst. Walt is a terrible husband and Hank is only marginally better.
i didn't like fly because it was a filler episode. i mean ok we get it[sp] contamination is bad and ruins the purity of the meth, you could have just told us that within 10 minutes not an entire episode[/sp]

On the ending of Breaking Bad: [sp]To everyone saying Jesse gets caught, I disagree. But to everybody saying they won't bother dusting down for prints and then search for him anyway I disagree again. For a start, it's standard fucking procedure at a crime scene to do that kind of shit, so it'll be done. Second, they'll notice that the compound gate was torn off from a high speed impact from the INSIDE which will raise a lot of questions. They'll probably also work out that Walt's wound makes no sense if he got hit by a bullet from the M60 unless he was laying low to the ground (as he was) so that's also going to raise some questions - then there's gonna be the presence of a random pair of shackles lying in the room filled with dead Nazis. The police would probably pretty quickly make sense of what happened and come to the conclusion that Walt went in to save somebody (who did manage to escape, hence the busted up gate) and that he got caught in the crossfire - not that that was probably Walt's initial plan when stepping in there, but it became his plan after seeing Jesse. I'm sure Jesse's prints are probably in the system too, so they'd probably be reaching out to try and find him more as a witness/victim than as a suspect considering he was shackled. In my mind Jesse gets away, though.[/sp]
sorry but if you think "heisenberg" is a badass and skyler is a bitch then you dont grasp the depth of the show
You missed my point. Every movie, show or book can be freely interpreted and noone should be judging the other person's point of view.
good article by anna gunn that should illuminate how much of a shitty person you are if you hate or hated skyler http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/24/opinion/i-have-a-character-issue.html?_r=0
At some points I really disliked her character, especially with the Ted incident. I felt like the information that I, as a viewer, was given also sort of colored my perception of her because she was not privy to the same information; we knew exactly what Walter was doing and what he was saying while she didn't. She didn't have the "right" to talk, so to speak, because she didn't know the full story like Walt or the viewer did. At that point Walter hadn't descended into total monster territory, and I still believed he was the good guy. That said, I believe that as the series went on she became more and more likable as Walter became more unhinged, especially with this last season; she was an incredibly smart and savvy woman and she decided that she had enough. Every movie, show or book can be freely interpreted and noone should be judging the other person's point of view.
He has a point; the show has so much more to offer than the mere power fantasy that you just described. For you to have missed that is a shame.
"all women are inherently psychopaths."
you have got to be kidding me dude...
Well it's still a fact Marie + Skylar = crazy hoes Walt + Hank = alpha men
Marie was legitimately terrible earlier on in the series but I think that she became a genuinely good person by the end of the series. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but [sp]the way Marie handled the situation with "Heisenberg" and confronting Skyler like she did in the final few episodes took tremendous character. Especially seeing the way she was at the beginning of the show which was by all means selfish and vindictive, and then seeing her try to "build the bridge" again with Skyler after her husband was murdered. The fact that she was able to do that when all the chips were down genuinely impressed me.[/sp]
Well it's still a fact Marie + Skylar = crazy hoes Walt + Hank = alpha men
This is the first time I've ever felt the need to use a word like misogyny. Walt is out late, sneaking around, using a second cellphone, lying about where he is and just lying constantly in general. Then Skyler finds out it's because he's sneaking out and making crystal meth. How anyone can hate Skyler for her reaction to it is beyond me. How would you react if your spouse did the same to you?
skyler is alright but marie overreacts about everything.

How would you react if your spouse did the same to you?
The issue is that people are seeing the events that unfold in the show from the perspective OF the viewer. We know Walt's situation, we can emphasise with him and understand his decisions to break the law to leave SOMETHING for his family when he dies (I mean, he only had $7000 in savings at the start of the series, that's... well, it might as well be nothing). Walt just isn't able to explain well enough the situation to his wife to make her see it from his perspective. Like he said, there had to exist some combination of words that would make the whole thing make sense to Skylar but he just couldn't find them. Well, actually, possibly not. My ex always used to get frustrated at me because I'm 'too logical' and even when I'd explain a decision to her in a completely rational way if she wasn't happy with it... she wasn't happy with it. Although I hesitate to make any further comments on that situation because any serious attempt to discuss why men and women have different thought processes/ways of approaching a problem usually devolves into a lot of angry comments like, "that's sexist," "you're a pig," etc, etc.

I don't think i missed anything. No one missed anything, just different POV's.
lol stop living vicariously through walter white, maybe actually appreciate the show for it's artistic genius; instead of masturbating to walt being "badass"
I appreciate the show on my own way. Every part of it fits perfectly and i wouldn't change any of it. What i'm criticizing here is you trying to tell how one should be watching the show and which characters they should like more. [sp]Since you really like family drama i seriously recommend watching MTV's Sixteen and Pregnant.[/sp]

I'm actually recommending it to you, since you obviously seem to like the family drama part of breaking bad way more.
Guys stop fucking arguing about family dramas and transformers
I swear to god this thread gets more and more painful to read.
"Oh man, one of my favourite scenes of Breaking Bad was when Skyler tried to "kill" herself in the pool. I was so shocked, all that drama ;'( all those feelings" - Said no one ever.
uh? that was a great (and also beautifully shot) scene?
What scene of breaking bad isn't? The point is: Would you even mention that scene among all the "action"(Heisenberg/Hank/DEA/Gus) scenes that would come up to your mind if someone asked you which were you favourite scenes?

Here's my favourite scenes list(not by any order and missing some): - The tortoise bomb - Gus's death - Mike's death - Gus destroying the cartel - Hank killing the Cousins - Gus in plain sight facing that cartel sniper - The finale [sp]- Nazis killing Hank and Steve[/sp]
yes some people might mention that scene over other scenes because they are entitled to their opinion. crazy right?
That's the point i was trying to defend since the very beginning of this argument which started because of: "If you hate skyler [and you support walt] you shouldn't be watching Breaking Bad" nonsense.
