I could probably recite you the entire series, the plot and all the details, and I have never seen Talking Bad. So nope, it's not necessary.
Talking Bad is probably about the actors talking about shit like how much fun it has been working together with the other actors as well as the creator of the show, etc.

Todd was under the mindset that for the plan to work, nobody could ever know that the train was even robbed. I kept thinking back to when Todd was asking all the questions about the heist and Walt mentioned how in the end the methlylamine would end up just seeming a little 'watered down' and that if anybody knew they would find out where the methylamine was stolen and amp things up for Walt and Jesse.
While I disagree with killing the kid, I would say from a non-moral standpoint it was the best outcome and it seemed to be a binary decision. Kill the kid and get away with it, or be royally fucked if the kid told anyone. There the risk isnt 'can we get away before he tells anyone' but 'does the kid tell anyone?'
I think we're a little tainted in that we got a little bit of backstory on the kid. He seemed like a loner who wouldnt tell anyone. If the backstory showed him at his friends blabbing about all the things he saw that day, then it would be completely different. Todd didnt have that backstory so he didnt think of the kid in that 'will he tell/wont he tell' sense.
That, and it sets Todd's character up. The way he cares so much about what happens to his friends, being polite, not doing something to wrong anybody. Yet will just shoot somebody in the head if need be.

This production has raised the bar so high for me, my expectations from story telling in a TV series is so high now I'm concerned I'll never be able watch anything again that doesn't come anywhere near Breaking Bad.

I thought it was more or less artistic license to have Walt being tempted by greed again, with him just abruptly ending that temptation (because of it destroying his family and what very little was left of his life).

I just like how he was fed up by the constant deals and manipulative behaviour of the people surrounding him, he couldn't give two shits about his money anymore. [sp]Making the final shot for Jack just so satisfying and heavy.[/sp]

It's more like he's [sp]going on a suicide mission, so money means absolutely nothing, he's already got his family backed and he has no use for it, it's not like Jesse wants it either. Money just isn't an incentive in any possible way at that stage, they have no value. The only valuable thing in his life at that point is making sure the nazis die.[/sp]
