This isn't the unpopular opinions thread but fuck.
Although I liked Breaking Bad, I think there are a lot of people who could make a better ending to a series than Vince Gilligan.
[sp]Are you fucking kidding me? No 2 hour finale? Lydia dies because Walt says so? Bullshit. It was a really fucking short conversation over the phone. Reminds me of the shit I would see in DragonBall GT.
And Todd? Dude...isn't the guy just really fucking autistic? Why'd he have to die an agonizing death? Todd only killed people because he was following orders, even the first time when he killed the railroad kid.
If I was writing and if TV ratings would allow it, I wouldn't have just killed off the main bad guy. I probably would have written in "And then Walt shoots his body parts one by one until said person gives the location of the rest of the money."[/sp]
whoa how can you misunderstand so many things?
It's not about unpopular opinions. It seems to me that Robster misunderstood the whole show, thus explaining (among other things) the [sp]"only Heisenberg now knee-shooting"[/sp]. It's pretty sad when someone misses a chance to enjoy a quality show to its full extent, just because he has a different point of view.
[sp]Todd is NOT ordered to do anything, he acts on his own free will and makes his own decisions. What makes you even think that Todd killed the kid on the bike by following orders? It was his own risk calculation that told him that the safest option would be to kill the kid, even though in reality he was no threat at all, because Todd doesn't care about age and personalities.[/sp]
Although I agree with the rest completely, he [sp]actually WAS a threat. The kid was a witness and could connect them to that place and time. It doesn't matter if it's a direct or indirect threat, it's still a threat. Todd calculated and acted correctly there. Not moral-wise, but right in terms of their situation. Safety and survival first.
I just hope it doesn't make me sound like Todd too much...[/sp]

[sp]So this kid goes home and gives an accurate description of 3 people in the desert digging something near the railroad to the police for no reason?[/sp]
Hmmm... I dunno about that, sounds sort of, not possible.
[sp]The kid wouldn't be able to give a good description of what they looked like.
The kid didn't know jack shit about what they were doing there.
The kid has no reason to start talking about it, at best he would mention how he saw 3 guys in the desert earlier that day after or before mentioning the scorpion he caught there (if my memory serves me well)[/sp]
And that's why I'm saying Todd takes the cynical cold hearted calculated and quick decision, because he threats the kid as a grown up person and on top of that applies a worst case scenario to him.
Not to mention that he does it purely on his own without any consultation with the rest, as if there is no time to think.

[sp]Kids have a really, really good memory and they can remember even the most pointless stuff precisely. Anything at all that can place you on the scene where something shady's going on, even if nobody seems to know (yet), is a potential problem. And problems are to be solved, so shooting the kid was the safest option to protect Todd and everyone else involved. (except the kid, obviously)
About the consultation thing - it was easier to act quickly (aka shoot him), before he could turn and start riding away.
You really don't want to underestimate things when you're a criminal.[/sp]
Anyway, I respect your opinion, but this is how I see it.
[sp]Now the last thing I should say (to complete my sociopathic killer look) is that I'd do the same in Todd's place.[/sp] :v:
Show's over and I feel bad for making this .gif but have no use for it. So if anyone wants it take it.

It was a good run.

By me gold and I'll use it
I don't think you paid any attention to the show whatsoever.
[sp]Lydia dies because Walt poisoned her, the phone call just confirms that, stopping his meth from being circulated after death. It's HIS blue meth, nobody elses, his pride does not allow others to take credits for his work. It's also not like he didn't know she's dangerous, he knows how paranoid she is and that she could remain a threat to his family.
Todd is a sociopath, he kills without remorse, regret or guilt, all he focuses on is getting the job done, he doesn't form emotional bonds with people but tries to be friends with everyone despite status and situation, but if asked to kill his friends or family he'd do so without even giving it a thought. Todd is NOT ordered to do anything, he acts on his own free will and makes his own decisions. What makes you even think that Todd killed the kid on the bike by following orders? It was his own risk calculation that told him that the safest option would be to kill the kid, even though in reality he was no threat at all, because Todd doesn't care about age and personalities.
You paid so little attention to the characters and motives it hurts so bad, you looking at the show in such a shallow and action oriented way I want to cry. Walt has no need for the money, he's dying from cancer, the whole country is after his ass, he's decided to die that night after he puts an end to any threat to his family and the circulation of his own meth. Finding that money would be of no use to anyone but the police, he wouldn't be able to give it to his family, Jesse does not want it, he has no use for it, he has a bullet in his body tapping him from blood and life. The nazi is a person that just needs to die as he is a threat and killed his brother despite him telling him not to, the money is just printed paper of no value or meaning.[/sp]
[sp]I saw the scene at the beginning where he poisons her. I just that my suspension of disbelief went down during most of this episode(how did he get it in the packet? Why does she sit at the same table?). It would have been interesting to see where the rest of the money went even if no one in the show gave a shit (one line of dialogue even). Also, I'm not gonna bring up Todd anymore because that's completely subjective to whether or not you give a fuck about mental disabilities. He followed orders wrong. Well fuck. He's the one that wanted to keep Jesse alive anyway. Did I mention it was the same length as any other episode? The show was interesting but it could have ended better.
Also, "This guy's an idiot. Let's close the thread before he respond."
Lolno.[/sp]
Here's a non spoiler pic.

[sp]she sits at the same table because she's neurotic and obsessive compulsive which you'd know if you paid attention to her character. As I already said earlier Todd wasn't following orders when he decided to cook meth. Fuck dude, he got paid to kill someone, an order if ever there was one, and chose not to while taking the money. You're right, he wanted to keep Jesse alive -- against what his uncle wanted.
And the episode was 15 minutes longer there's no way you couldn't have noticed that so you're probs trolling and I'm probs feeding you but whatever[/sp]

I don't get why so many people have so much trouble understanding this whole restaurant scene. [sp]As if it was hard to create a fake stevia package. Or inject an existing one.[/sp]

[sp]It's probably called "Breaking Bad" and not "Dude, where's my money" for a reason. The scene where Walt just cuts Jack off is there to show that it's not about the green. Besides, by now nobody else at all gives a fuck about some spare cash, especially since we know that Walt had given his own pile to his family through E&G. People just want to say their goodbyes to the show and enjoy it while it lasts. I mean.. really.. I want to see an amazing ending where shit goes down, not be asking philosophical questions to figure out where someone stashed some cash that doesn't even matter.[/sp]

I started when he posted it, meaning 40 minutes of play and I already have 60,000$ a second, crystal purity and have those SWAT and Space upgrades available for purchase. Haven't unlocked the meth-o-matic 9000, but if that's all that's left, then, yeah, it's lackluster.
Big pacing problems with it.
So last night I finally convinced a friend to just watch the Pilot because he insisted he wasn't into this kind of show.
Tonight he wants to watch more.
