Plus, the effect her shoplifting had on Hank, and the strain it put on their marriage really worked well with his character development throughout the middle of the series. It's a lot easier to comprehend him having a breakdown if he doesn't have a fully supportive 2D wife.
Would you prefer a flat 2D side character?
her [sp]shoplifting[/sp] honestly didn't make her feel more developed to me anyway but yeah it was good for the other reasons.
In season 1, the shoplifting was used to parallel Walt's actions. Walt tells Skyler "Sometimes people do things for their family." And the way she reacted to that statement and Marie's actions, was all the proof Walt needed to realize he was absolutely screwed if his secret got out. And in season 4, [sp]it was used to show Marie's reaction to the stress in her marriage. It added to the tension between her and Hank, and eventually led to Hank getting Gale's lab notes.[/sp] Anyone else feel like [sp]Walt's gambling story would've been good to use on Skyler when she was unraveling his lies? I feel like it would've held up for a while and probably would've proved interesting. Part of me wonders if the writers ever had that thought after they came up with it.[/sp]
I wonder if at some point in the future, there'll be students groaning when they have to dissect the story of Breaking Bad in their English classes in a fashion similar to Shakespeare :v:
breaking bad is actually interesting and well written. macbeth isn't.
breaking bad is actually interesting and well written. macbeth isn't.
It was, at the time.
breaking bad is actually interesting and well written. macbeth isn't.
obvious troll is obvious or is shakespeare too deep for you?
shakespeare sucks he didnt even have his main character build meth fucking plebian
I can see why some people would enjoy studying shakespeare but I just don't really like medieval settings a whole lot and their stories and weird-ass form of language (I strapeth away my robe and wizardly garments) just never sat well with me :v:
shakespeare sucks he didnt even have his main character build meth fucking plebian

build meth
Every molecule assembled by hand.
shakespeare sucks he didnt even have his main character build meth fucking plebian
macmeth
I watched Ozymandias today time to kill myself
breaking bad is actually interesting and well written. macbeth isn't.
you can't just compare shakespeare to modern film like that, you really have to put macbeth into context to appreciate it. its hard to genuinely enjoy something like macbeth that was written at a time where language and culture were really different and good fiction wasn't as prominent.
obvious troll is obvious or is shakespeare too deep for you?
shakespeare isn't deep by todays standards. it's just that everything is so vague that there can be a lot of interpretation which makes it good material to get students to think about things. and also a lot of modern plots are derivative of his works. but complicated it's not. written weird, yes it is.
damn, i still shed tears to the felina promo the timing is so perfect and the song too
Just watched "Felina". Wow is all that I can say
[editline]26th October 2013[/editline] Hank looks like Stephen Fry
Marie's new hairdo doesn't look too bad.
Marie's new hairdo doesn't look too bad.
she looks like a character from a riddick movie or something she belongs on a spaceship
Jesse looks like he'd fit in in an emo band honestly Walt's the only one who looks absolutely 100% ridiculous
and I would love to see Vince Gilligan other work and see him do other show's/movies
Every molecule assembled by hand.
why did I read this in Harbinger's voice
Just cooked a nice batch of meth candy for Halloween. Now I just need to wait for it to cool. [editline]27th October 2013[/editline] Just broke it, and damn this stuff is nearly identical.

I could easily get a similar lab coat, as my Grandfather is an exscience teacher. What could possibly go wrong!

What could possibly go wrong!
Actually, I think selling Meth has become way easier ever since Breaking Bad got popular. You could always carry a few bags of fake meth and if someone asks what you're doing, tell them you're selling some Heisenerg Blue and they'll think of you as a prankster.
I found out a few days ago that the second to last episode of the series wasn't the last episode of the series. Everything makes a lot more sense now.
I found out a few days ago that the second to last episode of the series wasn't the last episode of the series. so when can we expect the entire series in 1080p on DVD/paperback/bluray/spotify/VHS?
so when can we expect the entire series in 1080p on DVD?
i'm guessing never
