Oh yeah, people were asking about [sp]Walt's M60 shooting red bullets? That's because what he loaded it with were tracer rounds, which look like that. It's also why the trunk of his car was on fire afterward.[/sp]
[sp]Tracer bullets should be common knowledge, this is after all a gaming forum[/sp] The spoiler has a slight reference to a pretty big event in the final episode.

Pretty sure that not all of the bullets are tracers, they just fire tracers every once in a while (which is still a super short time considering the ROF) so you know where you're aiming

IE every 3rd or 5th round of each 5 out of the 100+ in a belt. It allows for aiming correction. However. Tracers are used fully during nighttime firefights to allow corrections easier in low light and as they flare nicely in Green Vision. Unless I'm mistaken. Been awhile since I read up about this. I guess they went with it for Cinematic effect.
I'm pretty sure tracers were used because they're a lot easier to see than regular bullets; just for the TV show.
dunno if this was posted before but 30 min interview with bryan cranston http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=8ULfCtRz82k
Sometimes I wonder if this insane foreshadowing is accidental or not.
Well.... They did have the M60 appear in the first episode of the season, so I don't find it much of a shock that they allude to it on the cover.
What's more - after they put that gun in first episode of fifth season and on promotional posters, they had absolutely no idea how to use it in the end.
That's not really a big deal. The same goes for every season except season 2. They write themselves into a corner and then have to brainstorm a way out. Sure they haven't always used flash forwards like that, but the same concept applies.
It's a much better way to write than having an idea of a cool solution in mine, and then trying to find a way to work it into a script.

I just hate the frown on the first picture.
This thread shall never die. There's a very smart video about how the show draws a parallel between Walt's meth and Hank's beer and how there's not a lot of differences between them. But it's in portuguese. I asked the guy to make an english version because it's that good. Waiting a response.
I just hate the frown on the first picture.
i dont like how it skips Walt's season 2 look
i dont like how it skips Walt's season 2 look
The best option would have been one per season, imo.
The best option would have been one per season, imo.
...why? he looks identical in 3, 4, and 14/16 of season 5
If they added in the Season 2 look, they'd have one for just about every season.
got my mom into breaking bad, she's been watching non stop she's starting season 5 right now
...why? he looks identical in 3, 4, and 14/16 of season 5
Consistency sake. He looks identical in the blue and yellow pictures, save for his outfit, and they're pretty distinct points in his time.
Rewatching season 2, I think it's the most underrated season. Yeah, it's not as intense as 4 and 5, but "4 Days Out", "ABQ" and "Over" are some of my favorite episodes. ESPECIALLY "4 Days Out".
I loved season 2, for three reasons.. they were still small time and growing, cooking out of the RV and all that. It was still a secret he was struggling to keep. The plane collision, no matter how far fetched, shows just how indirectly far reaching his foray into the meth business really is. Been thinking back to that scene (season 5 I believe) where [sp]They have to destroy that laptop using that magnet[/sp] [sp]Now in the show the general consensus was that it was unnecessary because Gus Fring had encrypted the drive in the first place, but with a bit of hindsight being in the future it was necessary because it probably would of been sent off to a government security agency to be decrypted. (It happened in the recent case of Ian Watkins)[/sp]

The other seasons are just more interesting to me personally, and from my vague memory Season 2 moved slower than the other seasons.
got this (unexpected) neat tshirt for xmas [t]http://i.imgur.com/HTsefgJ.jpg[/t]
I just finished Breaking Bad from start to finish for the first time and I got to say I fucking loved it When people said it was the best TV show ever they weren't lying, and those last episodes of season 5 had me at the edge of my seat, I couldn't of been satisfied enough with Season 5's ending, it was perfect
