Another another one from season 2, I didn't read this online anywhere, just saw it myself(I'm sure others have too): When Walt and Jesse are [sp]stuck in the desert, a shot opens up with two airplanes closely passing each other in opposite directions. Another even more subtle hint at the finale.[/sp]

I can't sympathize with Skyler, I absolutely hate her. While I know that she's meant to be there to be sympathized wish, it was too much of an awkward transition when Walt was being written as the bad character. Rooting Walt on for 2 seasons makes it very hard to find anything Skyler does to him acceptable, even though he may be a 'sociopath'. Plus, as mentioned above, she really does slow the show down an incredible amount, with later seasons scenes with her having nothing going on half the time.

Skyler takes more appropriate measures to situations, such as Huell. Walt cooks Meth. I don't like her actor, but I completely sympathise with the character.

[sp]skyler is the one really looking out for her family, not walt. walts just using them as an excuse. sure he's been completely fucked over by grey matter and i sympathized with him earlier on but come on, does that justify what he's doing? i think earlier on he genuinely thought he was doing the right thing for his family but i also think he was lying to himself. it becomes pretty obvious later on in the series that he has a huge desire for power, "the empire business" as he says[/sp]
Hank vs. Walt is going to be one of the most interesting confrontations in TV history.

We had about dozen of discussions about Skyler. Discussing whether she's a bitch or not is still pointless. Her motives, yes, they are positive and her sense of morality is important. But her character isn't written as likeable. With her dialogue, Anna Gunn's great acting, that's great. In early seasons you weren't supposed to side with her, but with main protagonist, drug dealer and murderer Walter White. Now, situation is kinda different, but I still don't like her. We will see, how she's handled in Season 5.2
I like to think that Skyler was written that way on purpose. It's pretty brilliant, having a character that is so in the right, but is unlikable while everyone is cheering for the murderer.

It seems to me Skyler is supposed to represent society, and society's view on drugs and the drug war. She may not be involved in any of what Walt does most of the time, but she definitely pushes him into it in her own ways throughout the series.
