so who else thinks that the star trek episode is obvious foreshadowing?
that or obvious throwoff foreshadowing, amirite?
I wouldn't be surprised if it had nothing to do with anything and Vince just felt like putting a 4 minute scene for a Star Trek script in there, kind of like how they spent an entire episode killing a fly. It's what make Breaking Bad amazing.

Vince actually wrote that Star Trek pie eating contest idea years ago. The writers asked for his permission to use that script so Badger and Skinny Pete have something funny to talk about. The writers wanted to make sure the season still had some light moments of humor before things got too dark.
The Insider Podcast is really worth listening to.
For those of you that watched the Mythbusters episode.

This was probably mentioned way back but I wonder if there's a meaning to the line in 508 when [sp]Lydia says to Walt, "We're gonna make a lot of money together". Tuco said the exact same line in the Season 1 finale right before he went berserk and kidnapped Walt and Jesse. Now that Walt is a problem to Lydia and she's not getting his product, I'm almost positive she's going to do something very big in a few episodes. [/sp]

I think [sp]she will try to do something very stupid. Lydia is not capable of doing huge criminal stuff herself, but it would be a mistake to underestimate her - Mike was probably right[/sp]

And [sp] she did hire that assassin who started offing Mike's hired guys, not to mention she's crazy [/sp]

Major spoiler for the whole new season

[sp]I reckon she's going for a power grab.
We know that there's been a massive vacuum left by Fring's death, Heisenberg's leaving the game while smaller distributors squabble over the remains of Fring's empire, she's just trying to get Heisenberg's coveted formula before he's out for good (or arrested). Having the formula, Heisenberg dead and all her connections puts her in a position akin to Fring. Jesse could also be the key to this (considering she could use Mike's death as a motivational tool/manipulation technique).[/sp]

Tag that
I have to be honest, while 5x09 was a really awesome episode, the [sp]last bit in the garage where Walt finally confirms to Hank who he REALLY is, was to me very anti-climactic. Walt seemed to go from serious, to scared (getting his ass kicked) to tough guy, to being scared again then ending it with a threat... he was all over the shop and not in a 'under major pressure' kind of way or anything like that. I don't know, it just didn't feel as epic as I expected that encounter to be...[/sp]
It's so strange to think that this show is finally coming to an end :(
Potentially spoilerific image.
I don't dare read past the first line of that. But if it is supposedly spoilers for the rest of the season, you should tag it and put major warnings beforehand. I don't get why you would post that without warning and image tagged, if it really is full of spoilers.
Those spoilers sound like bullshit, but I guess we'll find out in two days.
and me being me I couldn't help read the last spoiler, I hope they're not true purely because now I'll have spoiled it for myself
[editline]16th August 2013[/editline]
but (in reference to proposed spoilers so careful) [sp]oh god that kinda ties in with the 'bye uncle hank' foreshadowing aaaaaaa[/sp]
[sp]http://i.imgur.com/eyc44Ik.png[/sp]

How did you come across this

Seemed to me like [sp]Walt was just playing all the angles. He was trying to guilt Hank into not taking action by bringing up his cancer, the family, and how he'd never be able to convince anyone. Then to top it all off, when it seemed like Hank was unwilling to let it go, he slipped in the threat at the very end.[/sp]
Those spoilers sound like bullshit, but I guess we'll find out in two days.
definitely bullshit, because it's doesn't mention [sp]the ricin, which is a massive chekhov's gun[/sp]
snip ones i posted were confirmed fake
I saw s01x02 randomly from some cable channel and i just watched all episodes in 3 days, breaking bad is best show i have ever watched.. can't wait for next episode
definitely bullshit, because it's doesn't mention [sp]the ricin, which is a massive chekhov's gun[/sp]
I mean it was pretty elaborate bullshit but [sp]i noticed there was no mention of the ricin as well, you'd think if they made a point to show walt getting the ricin, he'd have an important use for it[/sp]
I really hope those spoilers aren't true. I should have never read them :c
The image containing spoilers...are they true?
I thought it got taken down but it looks like imgur was having trouble.
Don't post any of the spoilers that were in the image unless you specify before
KTHX

That song would be perfect in the finale.
I don't know, it just has a sense of finality to it, and also the fact that it's about something that's run through the entire show.
AMC did a pretty good job of preventing leaks for Season 5A. Of course an image of [sp]Gus's death[/sp] in Season 4 was leaked, but ever since then there haven't really been any leaks.
The only exception is that somebody posted on the Breaking Bad Wiki forums in February claiming to have witnessed several scenes taped. Some of the scenes he described actually ended up in "Blood Money," so the rest of his post is probably accurate.

it'd be great if it played during the credits
That's such bullshit hahaha. Almost all of it is out of character for everybody. I wouldn't worry about it

Dunno if it's already been in this thread.
I sure hope not

Major spoiler for the whole new season
no mention of [sp]ricin[/sp]
all the fake dialogue is so poorly written
Fuck me I read it please don't be true
if it's true then [sp]Whatever, man. Thanks for Nothing Mr.White[/sp] are the worst last words on a television show ever written.
