The very second I saw [sp]Jesse staring at his packet of cigarettes I knew instantly what was going on. Literally the only time I have ever yelled at the TV. "NO FUCKING WAY, HOLY SHIT HE KNOWS!" Goddamn that was amazing. I feel really bad for you guys who aren't up to date on the ricin/pickpocket story. I can understand, it was all the way back from season 4. But Jesus, it was one of the best reveals of Breaking Bad history.[/sp] Can someone explain what I've done to warrant a bunch of dumbs so I know better next time? I don't see anything wrong with this post.
In my opinion [sp]it could be for himself. With Walt's chain of thought, he's probably too proud to have somebody else take his life.[/sp] :v:
[sp]exactly, I believe at that point whoever he wants to use the machine gun on, he wants to die either by the people he plans to kill or shortly after by the ricin.[/sp]
[sp]does the flash forward still indicate that walt will eventually get caught? that promo seems to show that his house doesn't end up getting burnt so where do you guys think the state of the house in the flash forward and the "HEISENBERG" spraypaint come from? also where is walt sitting in that promo? i'm pretty sure it's not his pool, did his other house have a pool?[/sp]
also, the words [sp]remember by name[/sp] have not been even used yet, I wonder where that will be said...

That's probably the only reason they're dedicating screen time to it this late into the show, it has to lead somewhere... He did get protective when others tried producing blue meth too.[/sp] [editline]26th August 2013[/editline]
I'm not 100% sure if everybody here understands the [sp]ricin/dope lifting connection[/sp] so bear with me on me posting this. [sp]Back around the end of Season 4, Jesse was called by Saul to pick up the money he was holding for him. He was patted down for weapons by Huell. Shortly after, Jesse got a call that Brock was sick in the hospital and they couldn't tell what it was. After stepping outside from the ICU, he realizes that the ricin cigarette is gone, so he rushes inside to say that Brock was probably poisoned with ricin. He confronts Walter at his home with a gun and Walt manages to convince Jesse that it was Gus who had stolen the ricin in an attempt to turn Jesse against him. As it would turn out Brock had been poisoned by eating a berry called "Lilly of the Valley," and it was shown to be Walter who had poisoned Brock as season 4 closed. The first episode of season 5 confirms that Walter had poisoned Brock and used Saul to lift the ricin from Jesse, using Huell's skill of pickpocketing, and showed Walter using a fake ricin cigarette to hide in Jesse's Roomba to explain the missing cigarette. So when Jesse realized that his weed was gone he realized that it had been lifted by Huell, which made him understand that the ricin cigarette was also lifted by Huell, which confirmed that Walter was lying about the ricin and had poisoned Brock with the Lilly of the Valley to turn him against Gus. Queue deranged gasoline pouring.[/sp]
[sp]The only problem with all of that is that Walt never has any shown direct contact with the kid besides seeing him from a distance in the house (if memory serves). The show hasn't seemed to rely on trying to make plot twists through things you don't see either.[/sp]

Man, I just love this show. I won't even look at the promo to not get spoiled.
I swear to god if this show ends with some corny "hero" ending where hank/jesse catch walt I'm going to sit on a chainsaw

also, the words [sp]remember by name[/sp] have not been even used yet, I wonder where that will be said...
One thing that really keeps me wonder is [sp]how 'Ozymandias' poem will be quoted.[/sp]
Just some speculation on how I think things might go as the series wraps up (pure speculation, doesn't really give anything away, but see the next few posts to see why it's tagged)... [sp]I'm convinced Jesse is going to die (probably in the season finale, or maybe in the penultimate episode). And weirdly enough I think he'll die saving Walt, because, as fucked up as all of the things Walt's done are, he still obviously does actually care about Jesse (he could have just had him killed by this point and made his life a lot easier, but he hasn't). I think the moment Jesse realises that, while Walt's methods of 'protecting' Jesse are nothing short of monstrous, he's still the only fucking person on the entire planet who does actually care about him (even his own damn parents hate him), and in that moment he's going to choose to die to save Walt for that very reason. I think when Jesse comes to realise that... he's not going to be able to deal with another death on his hands, especially the death of the only person who cares about him. At this point I can only see two endings for Jesse. Prison, or death. And of those two I think Jesse's 'happy' ending is death. Jesse's the kind of guy who needs to feel like he's gone through adequate punishment to get over something, and with all of the shit he's done and been a part of I think his redemption, even through his own eyes, will come through death - especially death as a result of self-sacrifice. I imagine as he's lying there dying and he comes to the realisation that he's 'getting what he deserves' he'll be at peace and be able to die happy. I also think in that moment he's going to say something to Walt, which while meant in good faith, completely destroys Walt and leaves him a broken man. Perhaps something along the lines of apologising for being such a screw up in school and letting Walt get involved in the meth business and landing them where they are now - he'll take the blame upon himself and die before Walt can reassure him otherwise and Walt will be unable to cope and break down. As for Walt... I reckon Walt's gonna see the series through to the end. He's going to survive cancer free. He's going to stand the victor. But it's going to be a hollow, empty, meaningless victory and he's going to be a sad, broken old man who has to deal with the guilt of being responsible for the deaths of everybody he loves. Killing him is far too fucking obvious, and as a result I don't think that's going to be Walt's outcome. Maybe just to rub the cruelness of the universe in our face even more, perhaps the final scene of the series will be Walt something like 10 years down the line, with a new name, a new identity, teaching high school kids chemistry somewhere else (maybe Alaska... maybe Canada, who knows) - he's making a new life for himself, putting his past behind him, he's finally doing good in the world again and has slowly become the man he once used to be. And then, because life is a bitch, as the kids are dismissed from class he has a coughing fit, lifts his hands up, and blood... cancer's back.[/sp] At least that's how I'd end it.
I know this is speculation, but maybe you should tag that? Some people who aren't up to date might read it.
Wonderful fucking episode. [sp]its likely nothing, but i though it was odd that todd called walt to keep him up to date on the operation.[/sp]
I know this is speculation, but maybe you should tag that? Some people who aren't up to date might read it.
I don't feel it gives anything away to be quite honest. If you fail to see that Jesse and Walt have a... troubled relationship at the best of times then you probably NEED it pointed out to you. You'd have to be like behind by two seasons for any of that to shock you and if that's the case being in here probably isn't the wisest of ideas, is it?

The problem is we have only one kind of tags, and there's no difference between tags for recent episodes, future episodes and theories.
I agree that someone who's behind shouldn't be reading this thread (just like how I don't go in the GTA V thread since the leaks). I think it's just courteous to tag it just in case, for those few people that come in every now and then to say stuff like "just watched up to ep 5, loving this show".
Done. Hopefully that keeps everybody happy.
Wonderful fucking episode. [sp]its likely nothing, but i though it was odd that todd called walt to keep him up to date on the operation.[/sp]
[sp]Probably because Todd isn't very smart to begin with; he hangs with people who have swastikas tattoo'd onto their bodies in public which probably raises way too much attention. He also isn't a chemist; from memory he only ever cooked with Walt which probably means he can't cook that well solo and will probably need his help at some point. The blood that the one guy wipes off his foot is presumably from when they took over the operation in the desert, so it can be presumed that they are pretty reckless. And given that that part of the story is still being shown at all means it will most likely feature in some way in the end of the story. There was still also no answer as to who had put a GPS tracker onto walt's car (Hank still had his, and it was already established that high heels lady likes sticking GPS trackers onto things), I would say its the crazy lady in high heels.[/sp]

What makes you say that he still had his?[/sp]
Hola Unblocker, download it and set location to UK, amigo
Holy shit, you just saved me money from buying the episodes on Amazon.
[sp] Oh shit, I thought that was it for Saul in the latest episode [/sp]
Between [sp]Walt's confession tape and patching up his bruises with make-up, I'm liking this season's nods to the first few episodes of the show.[/sp]
[sp] Oh shit, I thought that was it for Saul in the latest episode [/sp]
[sp]Nah he's got a spin-off to do![/sp]
[sp]What if Jesse sets the house on fire and then burns Walt's confession tape?[/sp]
[sp]What if Jesse sets the house on fire and then burns Walt's confession tape?[/sp]
[sp]except the confession tape is at hanks[/sp]
[sp]He'll definitely have more than one copy for 'insurance' purposes, so Hank doesn't talk.[/sp]
[sp]I seriously thought Jessie might shoot Saul[/sp]
I'm still wondering how [sp]Todd's meth operation is going to tie in with the other events.[/sp]
Um, is this a plot hole? (latest episode) [sp]walt poisoned brock with the lily of the valley, and they told jesse that it was the lily of the valley and not ricen... can someone explain what's happening?[/sp]
