alright i'll give that a pass, everything from Bill crying about the Doctor dying to them (puddle n bill) just walking (did they drop like if they walked off a cliff??? like... what??) out of the TARDIS was shit.

"i will never stand with the doctor"
*stood with the Doctor in his previous story*
1, 5, 8, War, 9, 10, 11, 12, Curator
So Moffat has now written for more Doctors than Dicks - and he wrote 'The Eight Doctors'. Granted he had to invent two to get away with it. Amazed he didn't want to get C.Baker and McCoy in for dialogue for the 50th too instead of just Hartnell getting special treatment again :v:

So apparently it was announced on Radio 2 that Clala is 100% returning at Christmas? Is this Fake News, or should I begin my mental breakdown now?
EDIT: So loads of places are reporting it as true.
Cool. Cool cool cool.
My reaction is basically the same as my reaction when people in this thread tell me to stop being so cynical and to stop criticising the writing.

I wonder if this mean they'll finally have her go off to Face the Raven for once
If they go to meet Susan and then Clara (or vice versa) I will find it beautiful and there's nothing any of you can do about. :v:
If they do it in the way that they had Amy Pond appear in a vision of the Doctor before regenerating it would be good as well
the only way i'd even slightly accept clara returning is if she does what amy pond in smiths regen did and appear for like 5secs or something, but OBVS that isn't whats going to happen and it'll probs be a 'clara oswald saves the day ep' which i just cba with
its amazing how her coming back has already killed my hype
imagine liking clara
imagine
the reason clara is coming back is because she is the next doctor

why so much pessimism?
why so much pessimism?
because i listen to nothing but Unknown Pleasures and The Queen Is Dead on repeat
also because Clara is a trash character
scratch that, get ashildr in as the next doctor
for the fans
scratch that, get ashildr in as the next doctor

Even better, get Ashildr and Clara in as the Next Doctor
Like a Hybrid...
why so much pessimism?
she was literally thrust up everyone's arsehole as if she was the best thing since sliced jesus. when really she was a sub-par companion, even by Moffat standards.

also frankly i'm tired of Sassy Streetwise Earf Girls With 'Tude And No Knowledge Of Space as companions. Nardole was such a breath of fresh air it made the air that we were breathing around Clara seem like a realm comprised entirely of eggy farts rather than mildly stale air.
bring back Kamelion
the biggest tragedy of the capaldi era is that we never got capaldi and k9 together
the perfect team

"git tae fuck yae tin fockin pup"
"I cannot get to Fuck, master, it is an impossible coordinate."
"kiss ma sweaty bolls yae metal shite"
"Affirmative."

honestly i love how when he was ranting at both Masters, Capaldi basically went into full-on Tucker mode, even if he wasn't swearing you could feel The Malc bleed in.
On a serious note I hope they never bring back K9 now. I think myself and many other younger viewers associate him with Sarah Jane.
I just realised I was 9 when School Reunion aired and now I'm 21. Kill me.
9-year-olds won't know who k9 is because they weren't born the last time he was in the main show. W T F
can't wait till everyone here is 40+ years old and they bring back clara in a new generation's version of "school reunion"
"the clara adventures" they'll call the spinoff
can't wait

Genuinely I would enjoy K9 returning if it was done well. Either a new model (so the old one can stay with Sarah Jane forever) or even Sarah Jane lending the Doctor K9 off-screen for some adventures and then the Doctor puts him back later to reinforce the idea that Sarah Jane keeps going forever even off-screen (you could even reference the unshot stories RTD did for the Sarah Jane Adventures?)
I just really like K9, dunno why.
Well just watched the finale and well I did not quite hate it but i did not like it at all.
Actually no there was 1 part I really hated, quiet a big moment too and it fucked the whole thing up for me.
[sp] Sure it makes absolutely perfect sense for the Master kill himself as a final fuck you to everybody, but Missy turning good was a story that was built up ALL series long and her being killed without actually doing any good was the pay off, litterally you could have just taken Missy out of this season entirely and it wouldnt be any different. It legitimately pissed me watching it.
At that point i kinda phased out, though I had to laugh when we was treated with yet another casually dropped "Just incase you wasnt aware, Im Gay" as Bills final words to the Doctor while he was alive.

without witness, without reward
Just had a thought about how Missy can live:
The Master, riding down in the elevator, regenerates into Missy. Missy realises that literally killing her own incarnation is Not Good especially as the time differential now means if her future dead self was now revived she can't stand with the Doctor anyway and all the Cybermen are dead. She goes back up in the elevator and, like River did in "Let's Kill Hitler", uses her regeneration energy to revive her future self. She doesn't need future regenerations at this moment because she knows she's going to get killed beyond regenerating anyway by her previous self.
Probably won't happen but, what I think is, a good idea maybe?
(good as in a good way to resurrect her rather than good as in something you'd want to actually happen I guess)
i kinda just figured that Missy would've remembered something like Shooting (Themself?) In The Back With A Laser and would've just had something laser-proof on hand to save herself from that shit, same way she remembered to keep the Tardis doohickey on her at all times
also I just rewatched Father's Day on a whim and these tears streaming down my face demand that you all watch Father's Day again immediately [sp]oh god the music in the first series is SO 2000 like holy shit[/sp]

That sounds stupid.
Besides, if The Master ever returns we won't get a reason as to why.
That sounds stupid.
Besides, if The Master ever returns we won't get a reason as to why.
we got a little explanation on how john simm returned this time so it could happen next time
if we get no explanation with will be my own personal head-canon
Also I was browsing The Masters page on the TARDIS wiki and I'll be fucked if he didn't have a really fucked up weapon back in the day that makes his Laser Screwdriver look like a toy.
The Tissue Compression Eliminator.
As its name suggested, the TCE kills by drastically compressing the bodies of its targets to the point where life functions ceased. Eventually, the victims were no longer visible after the exposure. The Master liked to leave the shrunken doll-like corpses of his victims as a calling-card for the Doctor to discover.
Like fuck that's way more fucked up that than getting death beamed. :scream:
i'd like to point out that this series finale wasn't an all-universe threatening plot, how good was that? just the doctor trying to save some people and make someone do a good thing. that was wonderful.
Thinking about it now and I was afraid to jinx it earlier, but this has been the best season that Moffat has done, in terms of consistency with episode quality. It might not have linked the overarching plot together as well as Season 5 did (with the cracks in the universe) but apart from 'The Lie of the Land' I didn't really come away disappointed from any episode, and actually liked most of them a lot.
