He's doing Crystal Maze. It's running till Christmas. There will be contractual reasons stopping him doing 2 major shows on competing channels. Actors and talent heavily associated with one chanel rarely leap around.

Kris Marshall may or may not be a great actor, but I couldn't stand his stupid looking face in Love Actually, I don't think I could stand him as the Doctor either.
Anyways, whoever they cast, they won't cast them without reason so I do have my hopes up.

I honestly don't know who would fit this bill and would do it but for some reason I'm starting to feel like it's gonna be someone who has pretty much not been mentioned yet and a non-risky choice with someone relatively young and starry. At this point it could go any way really.

It'll probably just be Kris Marshall won't it? Ah well.

You know, if The Master's next iteration doesn't come back for a while, I think a good replacement for him/her would be the return of the Dreamlord or at the very least something in this fashion.

The idea of what is essentially the darker parts of the Doctor's characteristics (ala the Valeyard) coming out as an entirely seperate villain should be visited more often.

Nobody's trying to guess the companion, Jodie Whittaker is a very very likely choice. If it's a woman, it's gonna be her.
