I really wish they bring back the 10 Minutes+ Doctor Who Extra videos they did for S8
Bring back s1-s4 Confidential.
I hope Chibnall bins this shite off, I really do. I hate Cristel Dee or whatever her name is. I mean JESUS CHRIST EDIT: Who saw that and thought 'Yeah let's give them a budget and make them produce official content', fuck me man. The state of Doctor Who under Moffat.
That's so cringeworthy.
To be fair, the bulk of their content recently has been sitting in a room talking to the people who make Doctor Who. It isn't that terrible. But I would like a new Extra / Confidential if they can do one.

I've got nothing against her but she shouldn't be hosting stuff like that.
I think the fan show is alright tbh
Does the season that just ended really tie in anything from the season before it? I feel like it could be watched without it and be fine
No. For a reason. The long standing rumour in Doctor Who communties is Capaldi was struggling with the heavy filming schedule. So it was starting to look like he might bow out after his second series (in a Christmas Special). Instead they took a year off so he could rest. During that time he decided to do one more series but at the time there was a huge chance he might not come back at all. So much so that apparently a new Doctor actor was approached. The plan was that Series 10 would start with Doctor 13 teaching at the Uni and guarding the vault- with the Capaldi regeneration revealed in flashbacks. So it was written as a total refresh. It's supposed to stand on it's own. In the end Capaldi agreed to come back for one more series. Which is just as-well, as Tilda Swinton who had agreed to step in was only willing to play the role for a single year. That's the rumour anyway.
What a good idea I had of starting Broadchurch a week ago for the possibility of Olivia Colman. It made me discover the amazing 13th Doctor
Broadchurch is great, especially season 1. I have yet to watch season 3 though.
Broadchurch is great, especially season 1. I have yet to watch season 3 though.
I like season 3 a lot less (only 2 episodes in though). Hope it gets better
s1 > s3 > s2 imo the show is too formulaic i think, but its still gr8. has some good performances, whittaker being one.
Honestly the best possible casting choice of any of the names on the bookies. I always got annoyed at people who liked doctor who because they fancied Tennant. Already had a bit of a crush on Whittaker so I guess I can't criticise now as much
Personally for now it's s1>s2>s3. Now every time I'll see Jodie I'll immediately think of The Doctor
Ha, really that happened? amazing.
you can honestly barely make it out but
Every single person who says the show is dead or that they will never watch again is going to be GLUED to their TV when Series 11 rocks up. Guaranteed.
i don't think s11 will be all that great, but not because of doc13, i just think the series has kind of exhausted all the freshness it can. a hiatus might do it some good.
i don't think s11 will be all that great, but not because of doc13, i just think the series has kind of exhausted all the freshness it can. a hiatus might do it some good.
It's being made by whole new people. We have to give a new team a chance to come up with something exciting. A female Doctor is the initial draw. Over to the writers room to do the rest. We're far from "same old, same old" now!
Wow the reaction to this has just been splendid, i swear this shit happens all the time when they cast someone new on here, they always say "OH i ain't watching anymore because *SO AND SO, EXCUSE HERE* and they've killed the show !" those same people will be back in a instant when they hear the good reviews and then out of curiosity watch the first episode and get hooked. Same shit happened with Matt saying "his too young" then to Peter saying "his too old" only main difference here is that this doctor is a woman and there pissed about that! Once they hear how great she is with the new show runner they will be back in droves, and the same shit will happen when they cast the 14th doctor when her run is over with. It honestly makes me wonder what the reaction will be if they cast a black actor as the doctor, are fans or casual viewers going to say "Oh my god, they've ruined doctor who ! the doctor's white not black UGGGGHHH." :v: now that will be priceless if that does happen. *END RANT* Anyways, it's awesome to see doctor who finally changing it's game up for the new series, can't wait to see how Chris and Jodie approach it, here's hoping they knock it out of the park !

Nah. New Doctor. New writers. New storylines. All of time and space. Plenty to work with. The show has survived this long because of the moments like these when everything can change. The biggest obstacle will be blokes wrestling with themselves as to whether they should cosplay 13 at Comic Con.
Same characters and stories? Nah. New Doctor. New writer. New storylines. All of time and space.
Jack still needs to come back for a ridiculous reason, though. Even if it is just for 2 minutes.
Jack still needs to come back for a ridiculous reason, though. Even if it is just for 2 minutes.
Torchwood was Chibnall's baby too, so who knows. So long as Barrowman keeps his mouth shut.

I want to watch Doctor Who and have a TV license but I don't want to sign up with the BBC online thing.
I want to watch Doctor Who and have a TV license but I don't want to sign up with the BBC online thing.
Why? What's wrong with it?
I want to watch Doctor Who and have a TV license but I don't want to sign up with the BBC online thing.
It's BS. You can sign up with a fake name and email address if you want and that's it. I was expecting something more formal after all the build up to it.
I tried to sneak a peak when it was live whilst I was at work and I definitely had my eyebrows raised. I wasn't sure what to make of it, but it's slowly growing on me and I now infact love the idea. I think it helps that I'm playing through "Horizon Zero Dawn" on the PS4 which has a female lead who's great. The show needed to go a different direction so this helps. She's also a great actress from what I have seen. Hopefully it doesn't go from male to female to male to female etc though. I do hope it'll still be 75% male doctor, 25% female as the show has mostly had a male suited to the role.. but then I don't want them to "act fair" by balancing the gender of the Doctor. I want whoever is the BEST actor/actress for the role at the time of choosing. [editline]17th July 2017[/editline]
It's being made by whole new people. Would be lovely if we got a new head writer for every new Doctor we got.
