The pillars at the summit of prominent hills were built and used for triangulation and mapping. They still can be, but obviously there are other methods now.

So 12 is refusing to regenerate because he "can't keep being somebody else". However, 10 once regenerated and kept the same face as he had vanity issues at the time, implying it was a conscious decision on his part. Why can't 12 do the same?

Why can't 12 do the same?[/QUOTE] I always thought the "vanity issues" regeneration was the metacrisis regeneration which requires something to funnel the rest of the regeneration energy into or something like that

so why doesnt the Doctor cut off a load of limbs when he first regenerates, grow them back, and then focus his regen energy into the limbs when he doesn't want to change? Just make sure no humans go near the limbs after you blast them and you're set.

i don't think it's ever been addressed either way in my headcanon i've always just assumed it's dangerous to do it too often or something

Now that the hype has sort of died down and I've had a bit of time to examine this coat - Abbyshot seems to have had a bit of a wobble with this one. I'm noticing a few flaws in the coat such as the lining colour and the stiffness of the velvet - plus the creases around the stitches and the strange, strange underside of the collar. Maybe this is their first time working with velvet? I don't think we should let this coat determine the outcome of any future velvet products and or any doctor who related products that abbyshot does. The navy coat seemed to be the most successful one they've done and holds up as one of the best, well constructed and accurate replicas out there! I think they will use the feedback for this coat and produce better ones next time.

They've already stated that's not her official costume at all, they haven't come up with it yet. So I think it was probably a bit of a rush job. Nothing to worry about
