I thought it was supposed to be this way just for nine, like he was expelling all the energy he had absorb from Rose out of his body but that for some reasons they decided to keep it.

Plot twist: Because Tommy Vandriver wrote a scathing letter to The Sun about having a female Doctor, the BBC had no choice due to such a sharp wit cutting through their political correctness rhetoric and so changed the ending to the Christmas special so when Capaldi regenerates he turns into the 1st Doctor and decided to hang out in a scrapyard with his granddaughter.

When in reality, he is just ignoring the established plot to write his own version of events, making it "Moffats DW".

It's a self contained story that sticks to it's own events, the child Davros bit was a bit ehhh but I'll give it a pass because it's not overtly offensive like Clara being the reason the Doctor got his TARDIS or Clara being the reason the Doctor is afraid but strong at the same time or Clara etc etc etc

Take solace that we're in a timeline where Name of The Doctor couldn't have happened.

I wonder if the Clara Echoes will cause Clara to return in the Finale, it makes sense while keeping the last time we saw "current" Clara, in Hell Bent. Also am I the only one who felt that John Simm was underused in The Doctor Falls? It felt like he was more of a side character, and that if you replaced him with someone else, nothing would be different. Not that I am whining, I love Simm and I am glad he came back.

Not that I am whining, I love Simm and I am glad he came back.[/QUOTE] It'll be real Clara, she has a TARDIS and can effectively live forever because she's such a great character :) Nah I liked Simm's role, he was effectively the devil on Missy's shoulder while the Doctor was the angel. It also actually made him a good character after what good old Rusty did to him in End of Time.
