Came here to post the link.
Two theories I've heard, one which is entirely possible is [sp]Carole Ann Ford appearing suddenly on the set as Susan. Just like how 11 hallucinated Amy at the end, and 12 will inevitably see Clara, maybe 1 originally saw Susan and we just were never told at the time?[/sp]
The other, slightly wackier idea I've read is [sp]all the other Doctors appear to give the Gallifrey stasis calculations to 1 and 12, convincing them that change is for the best. Matt and Jenna are there in person, all the other Doctors are cgi or body-doubles. I know the article states that no CGI was involved but he could be talking about Matt and Jenna's appearance[/sp].
Pretty amazing theory about Gatiss, too, which is completely Moffat and ties in to his trailer dialogue.
[sp]That he's playing Gilbert Mackenzie Trench - the WW1 soldier turned designer of the police box. Though he wasn't a Captain, which pulls it down.[/sp]
I was doing a bit of reading about police boxes in Glasgow recently. In Glasgow, police boxes were red until the late 60s. Apprently it was actually the popularity of Doctor Who which prompted City of Glasgow Police to get them all painted blue.
Anyone read the A Brief History on Time Lords?
Is it any fun/good?
If you don't know Doctor Who that much then it should be interesting to read. A lot of informations about Gallifrey and the Time Lords are just a condensate of what is said in the show. There are some uncannon info too but I'll suggest you give it a try

Thanks, will look into it then I suppose.
I've to say Extremis and Oxygen were pretty meh episodes and the ones before in the season were quite eeeh, even if Extremis had a nice ending.
Is the rest of the season better?
if you don't like the episodes before chances are you won't like the ones after that much
i thought extremis was the best of the series personally but i think most like the finale the most
Hm, The Pyramid at the End of the World was nice.
I usually like Extremis type of stuff so it's probably because I'm a bit sick at the moment.
Stuff doesn't really hold my attention atm, even writing this 8 minutes into Lie of the Land.

Oh, there's another spin-off thing?
How is the Class?
most people consider lie of the land to be one of the weakest of the series i think
personally i thought class was ok but a bit cheesy which i think turned a lot of people off
Class is shit don't bother. You'd be better off watching K9 and friends than Class
it ain't that bad
one thing to mention is that it doesn't look likely there will be a S2 and the series does end on a few cliffhangers so if that kind of thing bothers you don't watch it
I just felt the way that the gay characters were portrayed was extremely shoddy and stereotypical. Bill in my opinion was written way better as a gay character

Yeah tbh. To me, Class is the prime example of how not to execute a spin off. A show based around a concept nobody cares about.
Torchwood and SJA both had established characters to carry them, and even then Torchwood moved on from just having a character carrying it - s2 and s3 (s3 especially) were both a massive improvement on s1 and managed to create a show that was genuinely interesting. Class had Coal Hill (???).
while like I said, I liked class enough, I agree it was the completely wrong spin off to make
Class was quite good imo but don't watch it thinking of Doctor Who, take it like an independent show (except the first episode)
Slightly unrelated, but the orchestral versions of Pendulum songs sound a lot like the Doctor Who Soundtracks.

Oh my [sp]the Master is back. Unfortunately I saw the preview at the end of 10th episode on semi-accident and was spoiled :c[/sp]
So far an enjoyable season I suppose, even if not groundshaking. Finale next.

What a sad thing that would have been.

Damn, almost no christmas special?
But christmas isn't a christmas without aliens in Cardiff.

Well yeah, but they did that with Doctor's daughter too and nothing came out of it afaik, unless comics or something?
Though I wouldn't be that surprised if Class gets another season that if Bill gives a visit for some reason.
Is there anything about the life of Meta-Crisis and Rose on the other side?
Oh, the finale was nice, [sp]though I guess I'll miss Missy. I wonder how long 'til the next one shows up. Maybe next or the one after season finale?[/sp]
Big Finish are actually doing an audiobook series with the Doctor's daughter soon which will be interesting.
Talking of Big Finish, is anyone else hyped for Torchwood s5? It's 10 hour long episodes and has been overseen by RTD, the only difference is that it's an audio drama and not on TV. Apparently it's different to a normal BF set because they usually try and avoid killing any big characters, but RTD said fuck that, kill anyone and everyone.
for a second I genuinely thought you meant the episodes were going to be 10 hours long each
oh, and it's set in Cardiff again
christ imagine that. at least 4 hours of that would be sex.
I wonder if Georgia Moffet will ever want to come back to the screen to reprise Jenny

tbh two showrunners later her character is probably the last thing on anyone's mind over at the bbc
