Who wrote this? I want to tell them how much I hate it. I'm quote this post late because the hatred has slowly built up over a week and now I really hate it!
say it Too my face bitch!!!!11
say it Too my face bitch!!!!11
Oh, I thought you were just linking it. I came up with a worse fan thing, a story about a parallel universe where there were no timelords, the Doctor was human who invented the TARDIS (basically Peter Cushion) and the Daleks had all but taken over that universe. The great descendent of the Doctor was the last person fighting them and she came over the main DW universe, trying to stop the race of super Daleks from coming over(they've evolved to concious energy inside a shapeshifting metal, but they stay in normal Dalek form unless they need to change for tactical reasons). She meets UNIT and it goes from there. Wasn't going to share that, but I figured since I insulted you, I'd share something of my own that's embarrassing.
Talking of Big Finish, is anyone else hyped for Torchwood s5? It's 10 hour long episodes and has been overseen by RTD, the only difference is that it's an audio drama and not on TV. Apparently it's different to a normal BF set because they usually try and avoid killing any big characters, but RTD said fuck that, kill anyone and everyone.
I'm pretty excited for it. Also excited for the War Master stories
Nice wording by DWM
With Chris Chibnall incoming as showrunner, having hired a cabal of writers yet to be unveiled
Cabal is a good word. Not at all sinister.
Oh, I thought you were just linking it.
i'm not hearing a lot of Saying It To My Face here. turn your location on also i swear to god if Moffat's final act is to write in "oh yeah this is why the doctor isn't a misogynist any more" i'm gonna lose my shit
Fuck no that sounds awful
It's quite funny how contradicting it is compared to an Episode ago where the Doctor says Timelords are the most Civilized when it comes to Gender. [editline]7th August 2017[/editline] Heck the First Doctor wasn't even chauvinistic. And also this Contradicts the idea that Moffat has been shoving down our throats, that Gender Swapping Regeneration was always acceptable. I mean it already Contradicts itself if you watch the older episodes, but the Contradiction here is Moffat's own views on it all. [editline]7th August 2017[/editline] There goes all my hopes for a good Finale.

-snip misread-
I've watched all doctor who episodes (except those that are lost) and i don't remember hearing anything about regenerating as the opposite gender at all
I've watched all doctor who episodes (except those that are lost) and i don't remember hearing anything about regenerating as the opposite gender at all
Doesn't that Gallifreyan general in Hell Bent regenerate from a old white man to a young black woman, who he/she already was for the previous 10 regenerations before it?
fuck she's so ridiculously northern
How many doctors have been from the north now?
How many doctors have been from the north now?
From the North of England? I believe three, Tom Baker (from Liverpool), Eccleston and now Whitaker. If she gets to have a Northern in the show we shall see. I bloody hope so, yeah, yeah, woman Doctor, great doings for whatever but give us another Norther Doctor!
I've watched all doctor who episodes (except those that are lost) and i don't remember hearing anything about regenerating as the opposite gender at all
Are you talking about just classic Doctor Who or something? I assume so as it has been mentioned many times in the modern show.

I don't really think its that major, honestly. (Why has this news made the Sensationalist Headlines subforum, really?)

I don't really think its that major, honestly. (Why has this news made the Sensationalist Headlines subforum, really?)
Anytime a long-established IP/franchise makes an attempt at covering a social politics issue people know it will drum up responses so a thread is made. I don't really see the point personally, most shows do it these days but because franchises like Doctor Who, Marvel, DC etc. have a perceived status quo that when it is broken (by interpretation of the fans or media blowing it up) people act like it's either pandering or ground breaking. It then drags non-fans into the discussion with less knowledge/context and commenting on it to try and find/push an agenda. The internet's dumb. Although Moffat even dumber if he's going to make up some shut about The Doctor being a chauvinist
I think some people are going a little crazy here. I think in this case you should wait and see the episode and also read what Bradley actually said. What I got from what Bradley actually said in that article was that the first Doctor treats his companions in general as lesser than him a bit more than our current Doctor, who treats them more as equals. Does that mean he doesn't love and respect them? No. Does that mean he might say "hey why don't you clean up the place" in a slightly disrespectful manner? Yes. That is completely the first Doctor. When Ian and Barbara left they asked to go back to their own time and the Doctor called them idiots and refused to take them there until convinced by someone else. Can you really imagine twelve doing that to Clara or Bill? Of course not. And when he talks about other 60s sensibilities? I have no doubt that will be about him saying things such as "why are u wearing those sunglasses and playing the guitar ur 3000 years old what are u doing u child" and then Peter will just give him a look as if to say "because I'm awesome" (and he is). Bradley has talked about literally a single line of dialogue and some people (especially in the sensationalist headlines thread) are basically out for Moffat's blood already. Calm down and watch the damn episode first.

I hope Whittaker keeps her northern accent for the Doctor

She's doing great in the interviews, shame so many of the comments are g a r b a g e . [editline]8th August 2017[/editline] what a lovely video:
Yo forreal why hasn't Paul McGann come back for a full length episode yet, he hasn't aged a step. My dream episode is a Paul McGann right after the '96 movie and 9 right before he meets Rose with Jodie.

Please have a multi doctor story with 8 & 13 sometime down the line, Paul McGann needs to be back on our screens
As much as Paul needs a better appearance than the 1996 TV movie, I don't think they'll bring him back.
As much as Paul needs a better appearance than the 1996 TV movie, I don't think they'll bring him back.
They did get him back for The Night of The Doctor showing him preparing to become the War Doctor. He'd probably do a full multi-doctor episode if he was asked.

I'm sure he'd do it, unlike Eccleston who won't return the call for "reasons" (personally I think Paul McGann should have chosen for the 2005 return), but Paul isn't the issue, it comes down to show runners and I haven't seen a significant enough group of fans asking for him to come back.
