Having already gone as Matt Smith, I will be going as the Tenth Doctor this Halloween. May provide pics eventually. I already owned red chuck taylors, I have my grandfathers old trench coat, and I'm borrowing a two piece suit from my school's theatre department
New TARDIS team!
So which one of them is the K-9 analogue?
we are. that's right, the new series is gonna be a play along at home kids adventure
So which one of them is the K-9 analogue?
I wouldn't actually mind if Walsh played a broken down AI, a-la Holly from Red Dwarf
New TARDIS team!
Are they companions? That's pretty damn kool. three companions.
oh god yes bradderz is actually a new companion, this is the best thing ever
In more exclusive news, it is confirmed that the new series will be a ten week run of fifty minute episodes in Autumn 2018, kicking off with a feature length hour for the opening launch.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/doctorwho/entries/ff2d130a-e278-4978-bf22-48cba0a5c9da
I don't know much about those other actors, but what's going to make me excited about Dr.Who again is the writing.

everyone was discussing whether it was gonna be a duo or trio and then they hit us with the QUADRUPLE TEAM [editline]23rd October 2017[/editline] Seems like a good but weird team to me. If it was just Bradley Walsh that'd have been hard to swallow but with others I think he could be great.
Knew it would be a gang. Chibnall likes gangs. Walsh is a fucking genius pick.
legit though, huge fan of the decision to have bradley walsh Mix it up a bit, stop going for the same cookie cutter thing with companions, etc
Today on the Breakfast show I work on we did the first Doctor Who interview with Bradley Walsh. We were talking about pickaxes all morning (which is why we ask that last question). Click this to listen: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05hg8nn#t=2h48m35s#play
Really looking forward to next season now.
prediction: Walsh will be the 'main' companion, the two younger people will be his grandkids (well, one is his grandkid and the other is their friend/SO) who only pop in from time to time. a 4 person TARDIS is ace though. the 10 episodes thing has been rumoured for a while (though it was said they'd be an hour, not 50 mins) so maybe the rumour about s11 being one long running plot is true too? I hope so.
Is it a 4 person TARDIS? I'm seeing a serialised story coming here. All 10 episodes could be based in one place in three different time settings with the story developing across them. They could be in every episode and never journey in the TARDIS. Like a certain head of UNIT. Lots of TV shows have ensemble casts without them being with the main character in every episode. That's TV now.
No matter how it turns out, it makes me happy to see that they dare to do something different this time around! Looking forward to the new Doctor and new season.

waow
i am shocked, surprised, and appalled that the readership of the daily mail would respond negatively to the announcement
You could basically give the Doctor a cat as their partner and as long as Moffat was not involved with it I would be happy. Seriously I wish Capaldi was given better writing because I burned out super hard after the 11th finale
I am actually really looking forward Series 11, even more so now that I know the cast is as diverse. Doctor Who is all about change, yet for 50 years it was a white male doctor with mostly a female companion. Now I don't know anyone except Jodie, but they sure won't be as bad written as Clara
Are fan films based on the Doctor Who universe allowed or will the beab hunt you down and sue the balls of you like CBS is doing with Star trek? Had an idea for a Cyberman short.
In unsurprising news, I don't think it was mentioned that Sam Hoyle (Broadchurch Producer / Script Exec) will also be producing.
Our first Series 11 director is Jamie Childs. We’ve already seen his work as he apparently directed Jodie’s reveal video... https://vimeo.com/jamrochi
so long as he doesn't use any more TARDIS cardboard cutouts
Nikki Wilson is staying on as Producer, too. Block 1 consists of Episodes 1 & 7 (65 & 50 minutes respectively). Hooray for stuff.
I approve of this artist's impression of the BBC's Cardiff HQ promoting the 60th anniversary.
Imagine the 60th anniversary has Tennant, Smith, Capaldi, Whittaker and if there's 14 by then them too. I'd be so excited. Of course, it would need a good director to be truly special. Maybe someone who's worked with a lot of them before? :v:
