http://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2017-11-22/doctor-who-2017-christmas-special-companions/ Capaldi has at least one spoilery sad goodbye. End of Time Part 3 lads.
Talk of filming in South Africa and Ireland for Series 11. Would be well impressed if the former is true.
Live in the North? Lucky gits: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/11/23/doctor-christmas-special-screened-first-north-england/

Lucky gits: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/11/23/doctor-christmas-special-screened-first-north-england/
well well well expect to see plot spoilers on the 14th glad to see they're keeping the regeneration out of the screening though. i'm more excited to see that they're also screening the new League of Gentlemen episodes which must mean they're on the telly over Christmas. They haven't released the air date yet and I'm incredibly excited for it. [editline]24th November 2017[/editline] In other news: Tom Baker has filmed a live action scene as the Doctor for the animated release of Shada. First major advantage to being in Middlesbrough I guess.

Not that I don't like the story, I love it as I do most of Douglas Adam's work. It's just, y'know, already seen... BBCi animation of the Big Finish 8th Dr audio Ian Levine's animation (sort of wish I hadn't) Toms linking narration from the VHS release ... And I've read the novelization. Kind of wish the BBC didn't release the DVD only a few years ago too. Feel sort of jibbed.
They event got Rose's Mom's Actor back.
If Eccleston, Piper and Barrowman stared in a Big Finish, money would fly out my wallet.
Eccleston still won't be in anything Doctor Who related no matter how hard you wish
i can see him doing big finish in a few years. Smith probably will do it sooner but I think we'll end up with all the New-Who Doctors doing audio adventures.
Eccleston still won't be in anything Doctor Who related no matter how hard you wish
I don't get why he keeps distancing himself from it. Did RTD rape him on set or something?
I don't get why he keeps distancing himself from it. Did RTD rape him on set or something?
The show's producers wanted him to drop his accent for the role, he refused so he only stayed for the one series. I hope I’ll be remembered as one of the Doctors. I have no ill feeling towards the character or the series.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the upper-crust's as well such as the dandy 3rd but it's nice to have some variety. That, and the Tardis crew. Love the Moff, but despite the fact he's more than capable of writing interesting characters with real and funny dialogue (see: Coupling), for me at least really doesn't come through in Who. Any word on Jodie Whittakers accent for Who?

Today marks the 2nd year anniversary of Heaven Sent.
Today marks the 2nd year anniversary of Heaven Sent.
So... The 2nd anniversary? Sorry, pet peeve. Also 2 years since we first got that "breaking the wall" track, and we still don't have a clean version.
I do think about it a lot and I genuinely think Heaven Sent is the best episode of Doctor Who ever. Shame about Hell Bent. I mean come on. This is easily the best sequence in the show. And I'm including pre-2005.
There ain't no such thing as the best doctor who episode ever, it was a damn fine episode, but not the best ever.
There ain't no such thing as the best doctor who episode ever, it was a damn fine episode, but not the best ever.
I don't know, the 50th comes pretty close to being the best
There ain't no such thing as the best doctor who episode ever, it was a damn fine episode, but not the best ever.
?? Something can be 'the best ever' if there is something to compare it against. There are loads of episodes of Doctor Who to compare it against. Heaven Sent is just 10/10. You could probably show it to someone who had no idea of the premise and they'd still think it was really emotional. I can't think of anything better in the whole run of the show from 1963. I mean, even that one quote: "How many seconds in eternity?" is worth 'best DW moment ever'
I think the best (in no specific order) are Day of the Doctor, Listen (I know I'm biased, sue me) and The Waters of Mars. Heaven Sent is great too though, maybe #4 for me?
Likes and dislikes are subjective. What may be the best to someone might not be the best to someone else. I liked series 8, 10, 9 respectively. Peter's grumpy and irritating personality from series 8 was a nice change for me but a lot of pople think that is one of the weaker series.

We 2:1 now.
Series 11 of Doctor Who is being shot using Cooke and Angenieux anamorphic lenses for the first time as the show’s production team move to make the show look more filmic. Bristol’s Films at 59, the company that supplies equipment to BBC Studios for production of the sci-fi drama, is making available Cooke anamorphic Prime lenses and Angenieux Optimo anamorphic zooms that will be used with Arri Alexa XT and Alex Mini cameras. According to Films at 59, director Jamie Childs and director of photography Dennis Crossan want the lenses to bring an increased cinematic look to the show which went into production at the end of October.
https://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/tech/lens-change-to-make-doctor-who-more-filmic/5124650.article
Apperently an email was released saying that the series 9 and ten soundtracks are on their way and are going to be released soon? Credibility anyone?
