Can't wait to see how this cliffhanger is resolved! Oh wait, there'll be a time skip leading in to a really disappointing finale.
I would guess Missy + The Master + Nardole + The Doctor + probably Bill the Cyberman somehow end up on the other side of the ship again which gives the Cybermen years to adapt to the new versions which we see in the trailers.
I really hope 'The Doctor Falls' starts DIRECTLY where 'World Enough and time' ended Not have something like a Dream sequence or Time Jump

I'm still thinking its all gonna be exposition building up to Capaldi's regeneration.
anyone else hate how the best original music from this series has been the theme to a black hole
The more I think about it the more the Cyberman at the end stomping pisses me off.
not gonna lie simm looks pretty fuckin cool with the o.g master beard [editline]26th June 2017[/editline] yo [sp]if bill truly gets cyberman'd permanently then this regeneration is gonna be fucking dark, it's not gonna be like the previous few where it's been heroic, bittersweet, or just kinda sombre or anything like that, it's gonna be a straight up tragedy - which means imo we'd probably be seeing a pretty dark doctor resulting from the regeneration[/sp]

That episode was spectacular. I knew everything was coming but it still made me jump in my seat with joy.
One thing I didn't like about the next time trailer [sp]John Simm Master says I will never stand with the Doctor, yet in a scene prior, He, Missy and the Doctor are standing side by side with Sonic and Laser screwdrivers out[/sp]

I just noticed that the best episodes of the last two seasons have been the part 1s of the season finales.
I just noticed that the best episodes of the last two seasons have been the part 1s of the season finales.
..and WEaT just nabbed an AI of 85. The highest since Dark Water (my favourite of S8, which also fits the trend :v:) In lesser news, iPlayer requests for the first half of this series are apparently the lowest since S4. It's good to see some metric go up because Series 8 did a number on everything else. Realistically, Chibnall has two series to save the current iteration of the show... and I'm not being melodramatic.
Just one question, how did the Master know about Missy being turned good by the Doctor ?
I'd say that he didn't. The Doctor has unknowingly stumbled onto the genesis of the Cybermen and The Master is there. Maybe the implication is that he was always behind it, or maybe he's interfering in the event? But The Master said that he figured out who Missy was from watching her on the screen, so to me it seems like he had no foreknowledge of her arrival or state of mind, he was just there for evil ends and then the Doctor showed up as he always does but with Missy in tow. [editline]26th June 2017[/editline]
what i thinks gonna happen is [sp]the doctor shouting no while he regens in the flash forward his him trying to stop himself regenerating cuz he's angry at himself for letting bill die, then the christmas ep will be something to do with him finding purpose again bla bla bla[/sp]
Moffat said that Peter Capaldi's regeneration will be “like no other”. He's already used a 'fake regeneration' scene this series and I don't believe even Moffat would do that twice. I reckon this regeneration is the real deal. But it doesn't necessarily mean we are going to see the new Doctor. A fairly well substantiated rumour is that [sp]actor David Bradley, who portrayed the first Doctor in 'An Adventure in Space and Time' has been invited back to the series to actually portray the first Doctor. More than one DW insider has revealed this.[/sp] My theory is that [sp] in season finale we are going to say goodbye to Capaldi and he somehow regenerates into the First Doctor. I don't know how, but it makes sense when you know that Bradley is going to be portraying him at some point; that Twelve has somehow stumbled onto a First Doctor storyline; Moff's promise that the regeneration will be "like no other"; Moff has kept everybody guessing over whether the regeneration will happen in the series or in the special; that we've already had a glimpse of Twelve regenerating in what looks like a recreation of a scene from The Tenth Planet; and that the next Doctor supposedly hasn't been cast yet.[/sp] But I might be wrong. :buckteeth:
Moffat at his absoloute best there. A ship with different time zones is a fantastic concept. I hope it's revealed that [sp]Missy is a far future, possibly even final, incarnation of The Master. Then Simm escapes and can potentially return again. He's lethal. Fantastic Master who clearly was let down by wobbly writing at points. The Master with a retro beard and a disguise. I love it. Also absolute thrill for the first character of the RTD era to return (Rose never returned really). No messing about with hallucinations or time travel. Straight up continuation from when we last saw the character. A sense of longevity we have never had in the 2005 series.[/sp]
Regardless of how the finale goes, on the whole Iv'e been impressed by this series, for the most part. Capaldi leaving, can't really say im happy about that. The writers seriously let him down with some bad stories, par for the course really. But as a Doctor I think he did well, certinaly made the bad episdoes worth watching. Nardole, comic relief charecter. does the job alright. Missy, "It's good to be bad" as the saying goes and I think her charecter proves that trope. I like the charecter, especailly the story arc she's currently on. I also love her blase attidute to everyone and everything "Im Doctor Who and these are my disposables". As for Bill, she's alright, can't say she negatively impacts my viewing in anyway but does not really stand out either. I think real world 'goings on' are gonna dictate how her charecter leaves the show, if she leaves. [sp]"Bury Your Gays" has been such a big thing over the pond, and it's because of that I think she stands a good chance of not dying or being given an equally tragic ending despite currently being a cyberman.[/sp] All in all though, Last series tended to have me switch off / only giving episodes cursory veiweing, this time around The only time that happened was with the Roman episode. Outside of that it's been enjoyable saturday night tv.
Probably old news, thought it was interesting. Moffat intended for the Weeping Angels to be the monster in "Silence in the Library" for Series 4, so we might never have gotten Blink as an episode. And also Moffat was supposed to write "Daleks in Manhattan" but couldn't due to other work commitments. No doubt old news, but thought it sounded interesting :v:
but blink was in series 3 so how does that work out
The more I think about it the more the Cyberman at the end stomping pisses me off.
if you had a pad under my anus like they have in polygraph tests, science would've been able to measure the world's first diamond-producing sphincter. alas such things did not pass, but just thinking about it made my pupils contract and my blood pressure jump.
I've come to love Capaldi as the Doctor, I was not fussed when he had Clara with him, but this Season has really made me appreciate him and I feel it is too soon for him to leave. I wish we had another Season of him and Bill.
I don't really mind the cloth-face Cybermen stomping, but it would be nice if they didn't use the exact same sound effect they always use. They put in the effort for the original voice, I think those pneumatic(?) noises that we heard when the Cyberman was 'initialising' would have been pretty cool.
It's the first time I've rewatched an episode of Doctor Who in years. First time I've been this excited since the fake regeneration of Series 4. Can't gush about that episode enough. I wish I felt like this every week. It's also a story that could be expanded on and told over multiple weeks. I look at what Agents of Shield did with that last season- 3 serialised stories that lead into each other. You could easily do that with Doctor Who and this story could easily be it.

It's really a shame it has taken until the end of the Moffat & Capaldi era to get to this point :v: Chibnall has to hit the ground running.

Them stomping about and being in unison makes no sense.
The first picture from the set of the Christmas Special confirms [sp]**** David Bradley ****[/sp]. In relation, there is talk that [sp]the original console room has been removed from the Experience[/sp]. Prepare for one last roll of the Moffat.

this is probably the moment I should stop looking at spoilers.
Even though it's just existing footage, I like that the official channel commented on this. Imagine if regenerations hadn't been made so cheap :( No fake-outs for 13, please.
