I did exactly the same thing but ended up not making it through season 10, got a few episodes in then just skipped to the final two-parter
I really like Oxygen and Extremis
The wierd-ass monk pyramid whatever they were 3/2-parter made me stop watching the show for ages it was so bad.
The Monk 3 parter is pure shit, as is Eaters of Light. The two parter finale is really good (well, WEAT is), and I think Empress of Mars is one of the best episodes of Capaldi's era. Oxygen is alright.
Surprised this didn't get posted yet. https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-thirteenth-doctors-comic-debut-is-a-tiny-slice-of-d-1825832451 Those who don't wanna bother going into the source. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--VRH8M7GB--/c_scale,f_auto,fl_progressive,q_80,w_800/mdyygjor7xfjtzoiilnm.png
The Eaters of Light had the misfortune of being, like, right after Empress of Mars. They're basically the same story.
nah because Empress of Mars is genuinely really good rumours swirling that s11 will debut on the 6th October, there are books featuring 13 coming out in late October so I'd imagine that they'd want to get her on TV before they're released. Dunno though.
It's a neat page, but dear lord that article makes me cringe with how hyperbolic it is She’s the Doctor. That’s it. Because what could possibly be more Doctor-ish than a lush alien world, the TARDIS materializing into view, and the Doctor stepping out of that blue box, a smile on her face, ready for an adventure? It’s simple, it’s beautiful, and it thoroughly strikes at the heart of who the Doctor is, regardless of the face they’re wearing. Endless wanderlust, onward to the next beautiful vista or the next evil to defeat. To understand just who the 13th incarnation of everyone’s favorite Time Lord is, we don’t need to learn what mannerisms or catchphrases she’ll have, or if she’ll be an angry Doctor, or a silly Doctor, or an anything Doctor. We need to see that smile on her face, as she races off into time and space for the next story just waiting to unfold. That is who the Doctor really is, deep down, and in a single page, Houser and Stott encapsulate that brilliantly. If the page contained dialogue the writer of this article might actually have died
it's a bit twee but I can't say I disagree with anything they wrote and it *is* pretty heartwarming
Do you mean confirmed 'lost' episodes or ones that have been found but are just not on the site?
http://www.themindrobber.co.uk/deleted-doctor-who-episodes.html From the chart above you can see that most of the later First Doctor era and a big chunk of the Second Doctor's era is lost to time I'd imagine that the Five Doctors and the missing Dalek stories have Terry Nation rights issues, and/or additional costs and that's why they're not on britbox.
Class has been revived! Another 6 episodes are coming! Ace and the Daleks are appearing!! (on Big Finish)
imagine if they'd done those crossovers when it was actually on tv
it'd still be shit
maybe a bit less shit though
LONDON 1965
Starting again in 10 minutes.
great clip from peter here talking about the appeal of the show, particularly from 1:42 onwards where you can tell he says stuff he has previously held back from saying a bit: https://youtu.be/TA9bKqTVLe4
I mean, he ain't wrong. Whenever they announce a Doctor or Companion is leaving, I always wonder how, if it will be death related (with the Doctor it generally is)
He's absolutely right, and the fact that the BBC won't allow that sort of shit in a promotional tour doesn't give me high hopes for what they consider the show to be.
Just to say, Class has been added to Netflix.
Really wish Netflix released in depth statistics so I could see how many people drop it after episode 2
People make it episode 2? I got my Doctor cameo and was done.
The Beeb are sticking every new series episode up on iPlayer today.
I hadn't taken it upon myself to watch Broadchurch yet, but I just noticed it's up on Netflix so I'm about half way into the first episode and oh my god if this is any sign of what Doctor Who will become? I mean, I was excited before from the small glimpse we saw in the finale, and from just word of mouth, but damn, this is GOOD.
I'll be watching it all and likely enjoying it all like I did the first time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJbex1uDpos 10 years later and we finally get more Jenny....as an audio series. Hopefully Jenny returns to the actual show.
The guy immediately to her right in the thumbnail looks like his head was photoshopped onto his body.
New thread banner, perhaps? (Whenever that happens.) https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/211506/b7c72ba6-10ab-41be-9bb5-a1a0f460749c/13Docs.jpg Made this shortly after the logo reveal came out, but just came back to it to touch it up a bit. Happy to have an updated version of this poster, certainly. And I apologize for leaving out the War Doctor, but I felt compulsive about maintaining he original poster's symmetry. When we get the 14th Doctor, I'll add him in.
