Oh shit, [sp]so it's not a head-trip, it really is going to be what First got up to when he was "out of action" in Tenth Planet? Visiting the idea of how it felt for The Doctor to regenerate for the FIRST TIME after living a very long life could be an incredible one if it's done right[/sp].
[sp]The semi-retread of Clara's ending was meh, but at least it made a bit more sense[/sp].
[sp]so is the Master straight up dead for real now?[/sp]
[sp]so is the Master straight up dead for real now?[/sp]
[sp]As always, he/she'll probably be back somehow.[/sp]
Okay so, the episode in my opinion was fantastic but with some really silly things in it.
But, I am happy that we got finale that did not fall on it's face.
I really didn't know what to feel during it, but I think it left me with a good impression.
I was a big fan of Bill, gutted that she appears to have gone for good after only one series. A really good companion in my opinion.
Given the set pics, does that mean [sp]the Doctors will go on an adventure together during the event of the Tenth Planet[/sp] ?
Alright now that I've actually managed to watch the end of the episode with audio, I will say I loved it.

Oh Jesus Christ yeah, I have been pacing back and forth trying to make heads or tails of how I am feeling. I did enjoy it but, so much ended this week whilst I am happy the episode was not crap and was very enjoyable I am still sad that, well, this is it now.
So what happened to the Spaceship?
And Nardole?
And did the Doctor defeat ALL the Cybermen on the ship?
And May I say that Johns Master was a total waste in this episode
I really love the flashbacks of all the NuWho companions
idk that ep didn't really do much for me, loved the ending with the doctor but the rest of it just wasn't that great imo, they defo spent way too long with that bill sequence at the end

My guess is that the Doctor might come back to either save or fail to save Nardole and the rest of the people on the ship, probably before regenerating properly or something.

Really? Meh. I think we can allow a whole four minutes for a main cast member to depart :v:
[sp]I like that the Masters would kill themselves where The Doctors will save themselves[/sp].
The Master never dies. He/she always comes back,. In the classic show he usually reappeared with no explanation whatsoever.
So, how about David Bradley going back to see Susan one last time and Capaldi going back to see Clara one last time?
C'mon, even you Clara haters must think that would at least be a tiny bit beautiful.
[sp]going by the set pics from last page Bill is going to end up seeing the Doctor again during the Xmas special
at least he'll be able to know she manage to survive, it'd be depressing if he thought she died on his watch[/sp]

Well considering he has no fucking clue who she is now thanks to the mindwipe, that might require some explaining.
[editline]nu thought[/editline]
[sp]Missy getting killed is pretty bleak thinking about it now.
She finally decides that she wants to stand by the Doctor and do something good in her life and she's immediately rewarded by being shot in the back and killed by her evil former self.[/sp]

I don't see the former not happening at this point. But 12 would probably be there too. Above and beyond the Mondasian Cybermen, it's THE thing Capaldi has wanted... and there's already an in-universe excuse for Carole Ann Ford to be in it and look older... and that's if they don't just say it's in her later life.
They've recast the First Doctor for this... they have the opportunity to bring back to the original companion and do what I find hard to believe The Doctor has never done on screen... go back to his Granddaughter.
Moffat's surely, surely, surely going to do it... right? What a fucking parting gift it would be.

Why not both doctors seeing Susan? I mean, she's still his granddaughter no matter how old.
that might require some explaining.
Have you ever seen Doctor Who? That's basically the whole show!
Why not both doctors seeing Susan? I mean, she's still his granddaughter no matter how old.
Oh I just meant they see both of them, not specifically just the first.
Anyway, I was amazed they reused the 'Breaking the wall' music in this episode

While shouting the names of Cybermen battles ;(

He saw Clara at the end, it's entirely possible that what he has learnt since Hell Bent plus some help from The Pilot has given him quite the clue.
Shame Simm is likely not going to return again.
Question: [sp]Why did the Doctor start to regenerate even before being shot by the cybermen at the end?
He was already holding back when he was walking with Bill. [/sp]

The shock from the Cybermen earlier, he was limping n stuff when he sees Bill in the barn.
"No no no, I am THE Doctor. The original, you might say"
well I mean it was okay. It had all the hallmarks of a Moffat finale, for better or for worse. John Simm's best episode, I love the more subdued Master he was playing. The fact that [sp] the Doctor can hold off a regeneration for that long is quite frankly fucking stupid. and why does he suddenly not want to change? bit out of nowhere really.[/sp]
EDIT: Moffat fucked up three times that ep.
1) He forget Heather can't get into the TARDIS, the whole fucking point of The Pilot
2) He forgot that Nardole saying he had a license to kick Bill's arse was in Extremis (AKA, he never actually said it)
3) He forgot that the Doctor doesn't remember Clara.
At least Bill got a good ending, I'd be fucking livid if Clara of all companions got a fucking awesome "Live forever with her tardis and companion, so she can live out forever as a fanfiction Doctor" ending over her because unlike Clara, Bill deserves it.
I liked the perspective shots from Bills mindseye as well, she sees herself as just regular old Bill, but to everyone else she's a Cyberman, good idea, also good explanation as to why she had the ability to starve off the brain control by utilizing the Monk episode and the fact that she had to resist an extremely powerful control signal making her very resistant to the conversion process instead of resorting to "the power of love" I thought for sure they'd bring her mother up at least once as a reason as to why she wasn't under the Cybermans control, but they didn't, thank god.
I'm also very much going to miss Nardole, it was great having a companion who fucking knew his shit for once, I hope The Doctor comes to help him and the children at some point, because, while they may have quite a few years to themselves, the Cybermen will rebuild and come for them eventually.

3) He forgot that the Doctor doesn't remember Clara.
1) I don't think it's unable to ever be in the TARDIS, it just can't materialise into it through it's shields. It can still walk through the front door same as any other being.
2) Doesn't mean Nardole didn't say it in real life at another time (in fact he almost certainly did since the simulation was so accurate, it was only a matter of time till Bill queried Nardole about himself irl).
3) This is maybe fair but I think she's still in the back of his mind somewhere and maybe he even fully remembers her now as others have theorised (I would expect we find out how accurate that theory is at christmas if he does indeed see her one last time like we have also theorised).

And to be fair, him regenerating might kick start his memory in that regard.
[editline]edit[/editline]
Also The Master killing Missy was fantastic, some people think Simm was wasted, but I honestly don't see how, given what he achieved AND he got to rub that shit in The Doctors face and attempt escape, I didn't see that ending any other way, but it's obvious Missy survived, either that or The Master will be back, but as a different Master, a previous regeneration before Missy, since we never really found out what number Missy was, it could have been very high and the LAST for all we know.
The final regeneration of The Master, who finally turns good, finally starts believing in The Doctors medicine, only to be killed by a previous version of herself.

1) then why didnt it do that in the Doctor's office? I'm sorry but this one is obviously just a massive fuck up. Moffat ignored the rules he set himself for a nice moment.
2) Nardole says it to the Doctor in real life, not Bill.
3) ok i will concede this point
