Just went back through season 7. My favorite episode so far is the COPS and X-files cross over. Many laughs were had.
I fucking love the X files, but I gave up on season 9. Am I a bad person? I want to rewatch the show now, the earlier episodes were great. I liked the monster of the weeks more than the overarching plot. Like at first it was nice, gov conspiracy, deep throat, etc. But then you get bullshit like [sp]the smoking man is unkillable[/sp] and stuff like that. Still, a very enjoyable show.
The mysteries were often in my opinion, more captivating than the eventual discoveries regarding the overarching plot.
I liked the plot up until season 6 somewhere. After that, there wasn't really anything left to keep me interested anymore. The story episodes in season 9 makes me wish they ended the mythology episodes earlier. [sp] I don't like them killing off the Lone Gunmen though. The smoking man dies too.[/sp]
But digging through the seasons well worth it if you have the time. There are so many enjoyable episodes.
I've noticed that a lot of poorly written or 'miss' episodes have pretty much disappeared now that I'm in season 5. The Jersey Devil from s1 was like the worst thing I've seen. And the episode where Mulder reveals his fear of fire and his terrible ex-gf. [sp]I did laugh at the start when the lord guy bursts into flames[/sp]
I'm still going to sit through them all (hopefully). Although I saw a still frame of 'First Person Shooter' from season 9 and... oh god.

First Person Shooter is dated as fuck, and wasn't even accurate when it first came out. It's not too bad though.

War of the Coprophages and Shapes for best episodes all time
I remember watching War of the Coprophages all too well. I couldn't get shadow mapping to work correctly and I remember having it on my second monitor. Good times.
I hope t-1000 comes back, I think his character's potential wasn't achieved because he replaced Mulder then become an additional member of the team which could have phased between replacement here and putting pairing in with Mulder over there. The banter between Mulder and Doggett could had been interesting.
Watched 'A Christmas Carol' and 'Emily'. Anyone else think that Bill Scully looks pretty comedic wearing his massive suit jacket? It's like straight out of Monty Python.
[sp] Thought they were both pretty sad episodes and I can't believe I didn't see the twist coming at the end of x-mas carol. I Didn't like that Scully's daughter lasted shorter than Queequeg. Man she just keeps on losing family members. [/sp]
[sp] would also like to know why Mulder was wearing a towel in the one scene :v: [/sp]
Yeah finally watched Bad Blood... oh my god I can see why it's popular among a lot of you.
Also Owen Wilson's brother as the sheriff was really good.
I've been clocking through the 201 Days of X-Files on Netflix.
No words are necessary for the show itself, but the remaster on Netflix is pretty damn good, better than any DVDs or other sources I've seen.
Promo overload and a new poster.

I'm fuckin ready. Starting Nov 1, the next three months are gonna see some serious shit film/movie wise. Ash Vs. Evildead, Spectre, Star Wars, X-Files.
The maximum overhype has begun. Also did anyone else see an observer in that last promo?
Is there like a general thread for X-files related stuff? Couldn't find it.
I wonder if the blu rays are going to have all the scenes remastered from film, because the episodes that have been released in the past 1-2 years still had some shots in SD (in widescreen though)
Well shit I need to cram as much X-Files in as I can before next sunday.
Heard there's gonna be a comedic episode. Unfortunately, not written by Vince Gilligan.

We do have the Morgans, though.

I really want to watch this on american netflix, fucking UK netflix sucks.
Despite going back to the original title sequence, they've managed to add Mitch Pileggi in with his original FBI badge. That's pretty neat.
is this a reboot of sorts? I've never watched x-files, but I'd gladly start with this new series if it doesn't require prior knowledge.

tv info says Season 10, Episode 1.
Who knows, if this goes well we might get an actual reboot
Close encounters notwithstanding, if the miniseries goes well, does Carter plan on keeping The X-Files open for further seasons?
"I think I'm going to answer for my wife," he replies, very seriously. "No."
:unimpressed:
Ibs habbening guys
I WANT TO BELIEB
That was rough. I get that it's the first episode of a miniseries so they're trying to throw everything on the table and give you a reason to stick around, but man.. The pacing, the writing, the acting, the plot.. That just felt sloppy, honestly.
