I like the semi-serious turn the episode took near the end.

I guess this really is the final season of South Park. They're doing something to slowly close down the show. At least that's what I'm guessing.
Either that or Stan returns the next episode not as cynical as he was, and everything is back to normal.
:20bux: the next episode has nothing to do with this one and the cliffhanger was just a joke.
I liked the episode, and while I did like the semi-serious ending, it confused the fuck outta me, to be honest.
Although, like I said, I did really like it because it was a more down-to-earth episode. Some of the episodes lately felt like they've been trying way too hard to be shocking.
Say what you want about this season, but this final episode wasn't just funny, it was really good. Matt and Trey are still as talented as ever; so I'm a bit torn. On one hand, if this episode was/is building up to the ending of the show, then it would make for a terrific end note. Then again, if this episode is any proof, Matt and Trey can still make great episodes, and it would be sad to see South Park go.
Great pick for a song too.
Invisible common consciouspede, Calling it.
Great pick for a song too.
Yeah, what's the name of the song?
If it is the last season I really enjoyed that episode. Matt and Trey are good at conveying messages without plainly saying them.
but that's exactly what they did
also much as I love south park it has been going downhill these past few seasons, if this really is the final season they've definitely settled on a good way to end it

Last season was so amazing though
Yeah, what's the name of the song?
Landslide by Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac.
That was depressing.
Really depressing.
I'm having a hard time keeping my poker face.
Last episode perfectly described most of the people here in F&T.

I was thinking /v/
Such a hilarious episode, too bad it ended on a such a sad note.
God I love the Korn episode. No other one makes me laugh so hard.
It isn't the last episode, in south park studios it shows more episodes in the season that aren't out yet.
When I saw the previews for this episode I thought it was gonna be about dubstep. The ending was shitty in a sad way. :(
Wonder what's going to happen to Stan and the others
So last episode was pretty damn bad, hell it was possibly worse than Funnybot.
no it wasnt i recall you being wrong twice now, i think u said the city sushi ep was bad when actually it was fantastic
Last season was so amazing though
not really, it was kind of a low point
no it wasnt i recall you being wrong twice now, i think u said the city sushi ep was bad when actually it was fantastic
Not me, City Sushi was the best episode of the season.
You guys saw Kenny with his hoodie off in the beginning right
I missed that, but you see him without his hood quite a few times throughout the series.
not really, it was kind of a low point
The big balls episode, the fudge packer tom cruise episodes, coon episodes, insheeption, creme fraiche, scrotie mcboogerballs
All great episodes

Wow, didn't catch that.
Picture for people who are too lazy to go look on SPS.

Holy shit. This depressed me more than anything. Just goes to show how attached i am to these characters.
Poor Stan
The episode was the mid-season finale and was largely seen as a metaphor for the frustration experienced by creators Parker and Stone stemming from the show's continued production.

oinciding with production and performance of the Broadway The Book of Mormon musical produced by the South Park creators, there has been speculation over doubt within the writing team on the future of South Park. Shortly after the opening of The Book of Mormon, an "exasperated" Parker commented to The Hollywood Reporter in reference to the upcoming season: "I don’t know how we're going to do it. It's a nightmare.

Stone and Parker are contractually obligated to continue production through 2013, and no other statements have been made regarding the episode's self-exasperate point of view by the series creators regarding continued writing and development. Production of South Park will not resume until late 2011.
At a March interview:
Trey Parker and Matt Stone sit slumped at a table, exhausted.
Their sense of humor has almost vanished, their energy disappeared, their anarchists’ willingness to say “fuck you” to anything that smacks of the establishment has utterly drained away. All they can think of is sleep.
Seems they're really worn out guys... :smith:
That's pretty sad.
What stops them from just ruining the series so they don't have to write additional episodes?
