If it isn't flat-out insane, South Park is always kinda weird.
that episode was amazing imo, was laughing the whole way through
I was hoping I'd get to see Cartman [sp] in russia drinking vodka and speaking russian[/sp] after the first episode
The George Zimmerman scene reminded me of the part in the Insheeption episode where they ask Freddie to help them with the dream problem.
I really liked that episode. Was laughing most of the way through.
That was a really solid episode. I assume next week will be about the shutdown then.

The shutdown happened less than 2 weeks ago, how the hell would they make an episode about it already?

they animate episodes a week before they air
they animate episodes a week before they air
OH.
I knew they animated them within a one-week timeframe but I thought they did so months or weeks before airing.
What were they doing the past couple of months then? :v:
I think I read somewhere they can do an episode in 3 days if they hurry.

taking a break? they deserve a break between what i can only imagine is one hellish pre-air week after another
taking a break? they deserve a break between what i can only imagine is one hellish pre-air week after another
Well I suppose, but I'd think it'd be a nice load off their backs to do it at least a month or two before airing. That'd still give them a really long break.
I'd take a loooong break if I had a job where every day was crunch day and 21 minute episodes are pumped out every week.

If they'd make the episodes way before their air dates, their themes would be already super outdated. If they do it this way, they can make episodes about stuff that is very current.
I can't speak for the rest of the cast but Trey and Matt's "breaks" have been stressing out over Book of Mormon the past couple years
Episode 1704 will not air tonight.
On Tuesday night, South Park Studios lost power. From animation to rendering to editing and sound, all of our computers were down for hours and we were unable to finish episode 1704 "Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers" in time for air tonight. Trey Parker said, "It sucks to miss an air date but after all these years of tempting fate by delivering the show last minute, I guess it was bound to happen."
GOTH KIDS 3: DAWN OF THE POSERS will air next Wednesday, October 23rd. Tonight there will be encore, Live-Tweeted presentation of Scott Tenorman Must Die at 10p EST.
Watching World War Zimmerman.
[sp]Token you uncultured pig a poem doesn't have to rhyme[/sp]
That sucks the episode got cancelled.
Was cool to see a HD version of 'Scott Tenorman Must Die' though.
Loved tonight's episode.

it didnt get cancled, since they make the episodes by week, they don't have any backup in case anything happens such as ooh.... a massive power outtage
Nope. They aired a new episode last night.
So is their power still out or what? Behind by 2 episodes now.
Its on there website
Every episode just doesn't make me laugh anymore.. it's just like things happening.

I found the newsest one really funny.
[sp]Edgar Alan Poe "Nightpain"[/sp]
It was Ok, not a huge fan of the goth kids anyway.

you'd think they'd have a back up plan.
Normally they have a few half-finish shows as their "backup" if I remember correctly. They use them when they don't have ideas for that week or they work one into an episode they're working on.
[editline]27th October 2013[/editline]
Sometimes they have footage and work it into later episodes. for example, the scene with Jimmy surfing in Crippled Summer was made beforehand for another episode, but they couldn't work it in.
So Ike will be talking again in the next episode, most likely he is being possessed.
