I've always heard '84 as being a great film but I've never really sat down and watched it since I was, like, 10-11.

It doesn't come with the 1985 American version which I've never seen, but 84 is very similar to Shin Godzilla with the mix of political drama and disaster.

I just recently caught up with ex-aid and its pretty meh so far. The SD suits are the stupidest things ever but i've grown to like the leveled up suits. It's assuming it's more kid-friendly then past KR's so far, though I haven't seen many so my assumption might be wildly off.
I've been watching Kamen Rider Ryuki, it's fucking amazing.
Other KR I've completed are Gaim, Agito, and Amazons. I also watched the original Godzilla a few days ago and it was a bit too old for me unfortunately, couldn't really get into it.

I have a feeling things are gonna get more serious as the series goes on, Gaim started off pretty stupid (I mean, dancing fruit samurais with pokémon, you gotta admit) but got a bit heavier with the plot after they dropped the whole "dance competitions for territories" thing. [sp]Specially after people started dying and Zawame city got infested.[/sp]
I just finished Ryuki, it was fantastic, watch that if you have an interest in Kamen Rider at all. It's currently my second favorite KR series (though I've only seen 4), beating out Gaim and falling just a bit short of my enjoyment of Amazons.

Gaim is simultaneously goofy as shit and incredibly dark, and that makes it pretty amazing. I really like how KR can play serious stories like a deathgame battle royale (ryuki) while having goofy shit played totally straight at the same time. like the fruit samurai or how in Ryuki they have to run up to mirrors or windows and look at their reflection to transform.
