What the fuck, Bionicle's getting confirmed on Friday?
Yeah, Lego posted on a load of social networking sites that there would be a "huge" announcement on Friday...
But the picture they included was named bionicle-4-new.jpg, so that kinda spoiled the surprise.

Seeing the recent leaks, I think they are just teasing us. or maybe it's someone really incompetent at lego
Probably they'll reveal bionicle's return on friday, and then they'll put the sets on display at NYCC.
But yeah, there's still hope for JW, or it's either the rumoured "super car" or the "elves" themes.
I really wonder if they'll make sets based on the first movies...

A pic of the map was leaked.
I'm scared it's going to be bad. Because personally I loved Jurassic Park, and the cast seems a little weird to me. And I don't like the whole "20 years" thing. I was more into it just being an island of dinosaurs.
I usually hold my reservations until I see a trailer, and that's not going to happen until Interstellar.

I have made a comment about why I think it's going to be good on IMDB. Have a look.

Comedian actors are the best for serious roles. Proven with Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston.

We've had this story already three times. No one would like this scenario if it would be done one more time.
bryan cranston is a comedic actor? i'm pretty sure he was the only dramatic person on mitm for a reason.
Let's not forget that he had a recurring role on Seinfeld as the dentist who converted to Judaism for the jokes.

Wow, I really thought I was in that Bryan Cranston thread for a second. My point still stands.

Nobody trains as a comedic or dramatic actor. Some just are better at one than the other. Some are just getting more jobs in one than the other.
The Breaking Bad cast was made entirely of people known for comic roles intentionally. Vince said that comedy is harder than drama so those actors have the most skills.

goddammit I really want to see Interstellar, but I also really want to go into Jurassic World completely blind
guess I'll just awkwardly shuffle out of the theater for a couple of minutes when the trailer comes on

looks good
Is that the Diabolous Rex?
Note the little spiketies on its head.
That Rex is not from Jurassic World. It was used to promote the film in France.

Aw, you ruined the hype fun. Oh well, I hate when people confirm stuff, ruins the rumor mill
OPEN: UNIVERSAL and LEGENDARY logo- cut to ferryboat, filled with tourists. The camera pans around to show Isla Nublar. A few scenes pass by, showcasing the arrival to the island. The next scene shows a vehicle passing through large gates, much like the Jurassic Park gates, that read JURASSIC WORLD. Queue small montage of scenes showcasing the park, filled with tourists. (Note: at some point during these scenes title cards that read “THE PARK” “IS OPEN” appear)
One scene that is described specifically is of a vehicle casually driving through a field, surrounded by bipedal dinosaurs, likely Gallimimus. The next described scene specifically is of two passengers (likely Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins) inside of a ‘clear bubble-shaped vehicle” (the Gyrosphere), next to large Sauropods, which are likely Apatosaurs.
A few more scenes go by, which lead into a Great White Shark, hung upside-down over water, with visitors onlooking. Suddenly the water explodes, and the huge head of Mosasaur leaps upward, encompassing the shark, and pulling it under, thus soaking the guests watching in awe.
We then see a closeup of a mosquito inside of amber, and cut to Bryce Dallas Howard saying a line along the lines of “We have learned more about genetics in the past decade than the past century” and “We are now able to create our own dinosaurs from scratch”.
We now see Chris Pratt for the first time, walking into a room questioning an apparent situation. We cut to see a huge wall of a paddocks interior, covered in deep scratches. It is then mentioned that the ‘creature’ is loose, and a line similar to “She is deadly, and she will find us” is said. Cut to a person being dragged through a dark jungle, from a first-person perspective, only showcasing his feet. Next we see someone fall into water, followed by a woman screaming in terror.
Cut to title “JURASSIC WORLD”, followed by Chris Pratt saying “If we’re gonna do this, we do this my way” pans to a muzzled Velociraptor that he gently pats on the head. It is then followed by a scene of a pack of raptors charging through the jungle. The trailer finishes with a title card that reads “JUNE 12th, 2015”.
Not sure how I feel about that last bit. On one hand, I think it's pretty cool, but on the other hand, it's almost bound to backfire and I really want Pratt to be the Alan Grant of the movie, not Muldoon. Unless it's book Muldoon, because he was incredibly bad ass.
I dunno how to feel about the raptors.
Like, it'd go with the theme of the series for them to eventually betray the humans.
But it'd also make no sense.
We've domesticated dogs, you don't see pomeranians throwing off the shackles of human oppression.
It would make sense for them to do a heel turn if they were treated poorly like show animals can be, but then that would make Chris Pratt an unlikable protagonist (because abusing animals is bad).
But then they COULD make it so that the PARK is keeping them in shit conditions that Starlord is ignorant to, but then THAT would make no sense since he works so closely with them.
I dunno, but the whole thing sounds fucking awesome. I love the idea of Jurassic Park actually OPENING.
Everything goes according to plan until it eventually doesn't, and then people die.
[editline]6th October 2014[/editline]
Also, I'm so hyped for water dinosaurs.
Ticket from the survey the person took from it, where he got to see the trailer

Riding Raptors will probably be the worst part of the movie. Why not keep them the intelligent hunters from the first movie? Everyone hated the talking raptors from the third movie.
not too sold on the idea of a human/raptor alliance (if that's the connotation) but the rest sounds beyond fucking awesome
Riding Raptors will probably be the worst part of the movie. Why not keep them the intelligent hunters from the first movie? Everyone hated the talking raptors from the third movie.
Yeah, I really don't like the idea of domesticated raptors. The raptors in the films were hunters and nothing more. To make them become partnered with humans is just far too overboard and sounds like something from the comics.
I honestly have no idea where it'll go with the trained raptors.
They could just turn on the humans, but I'd honestly like to see them get dispatched by the D-Rex before they have to address if the velociraptors have become man's subservient little buddy or ultimate scheming masterminds.
I haven't finished the first book yet, but I could swear the idea of personal dinosaurs was something Hammond and Ingen seriously considering. Whether it would have worked is a different issue. And I severely doubt any dinosaur ,especially the Raptors, would stay friendly for very long. They are like the primary killers in the films.
[editline]7th October 2014[/editline]
If the trailer thing is to be believed, I think they will find out that they couldn't do the shit they thought they could do.
Also, does anyone know what are the best bluray versions of the first two films are? I would go by Bluray.com but I heard they didn't always know what they are talking about.

Definitely fake.
They died out a while ago.

They way he wanted to implement it in the book was actually rather smart; just make them small. A T-Rex smaller than a chicken would be really cool and I doubt it could do much damage. Hammond also planned to design them so that they could only eat official InGen brand food so no third party company could step in.
Yep that was it. Couldn't remember if I had read that part.
