The 15 minutes of the San Diego attack is honestly enough for that urban Jurassic Park stuff. If there was an entire movie about the mainland only the carnivores would be focused on and the herbivores would be on the backburner.

I love how you can see where they used the artwork for the earlier movies throughout the series. The building design is much closer to how Jurassic World portrays it. The book had a lot of neat theme park shit. There's an entire sequence where they take a raft down a river and fight off pteradons in an aviary. It's also really evident how little we knew about dinosaurs back then, considering the T-Rex attempts to grab Timmy from under the waterfall with its big prehensile tongue.

Inaccuracies aside that waterfall scene was tense as fuck.

when i was like 4 years old the only scene that scared me was the dilophosaurus' roar, the toilet scene was hilarious and the long grass sequence was badass

The only scene in a Jurassic Park film where I was scared was in the third one where they find the dead guy in the glider. Still wasn't as as bad as seeing Deep Blue Sea on TV once when i was 6. When I first saw the original Jurassic Park on a cassette tape, the first character's badass establishing shot was what let me know that this film was going to be one of the best. I watched Jurassic Park before I could read. I saw the bright orange "FBI WARNING" at the start of the VHS and figured that the font looked similar to the Jurassic Park font. So I decided that the text read: "WARNING: This movie is like The Land Before Time, because they both have dinosaurs". The dude getting eaten off the potty was the funniest shit ever to me. Oddly enough, none of it scared me. Second one didn't either. When I was little, I just figured that dinosaurs were animals, so there was no reason that animals were scary. That's why I could watch Jaws and Deep Blue Sea at that age and feel nothing. The xenomorph from Alien though, THAT was a whole 'nother story... But yeah, Jurassic Park's special effects are what got me interested in how movies are made. Now I'm studying film in college.
