This is a fine damn poster.
Man, I'm really digging the emphasis on the giant sea dinosaur. Those things are pretty much the closest thing to actual sea monster, and they're fucking terrifying.

New trailer should be up in about 30 minutes, keep your eyes peeled.
Not sure I like the premise of the movie with all these dudes gunning down dinosaurs. I feel like the previous movies focused more on the survival aspect of a helpless cast (although Lost World did this less than the first one). Still looks pretty cool, definitely watching it in cinemas.
I don't know how to feel about the trailer, while I am extremely excited about a new dinosaur film, to me it's looking like a generic monster flick. It actually really reminds me of Alien(s). To me, the I. Rex is looking just crazy overpowered, both by strength and "intelligence", especially the line "She remembered when they put it in", and what looks to be something like thumbs on its hands. Also the raptors look different, aside from totally being CGI, their eyes just look really big and off.
I think it'll be a good monster film, but I don't think it's going to be "thought provoking" like the first novel and film.
Looks bad with ugly CG dinos
Looks bad with ugly CG dinos
Some of the effects are still unfinished while others look pretty much final (the mosasaurus looks amazing)

This is actually what makes the movie very interesting for me. In The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 firearms never really worked against them and finally they are able to use some of them to fight back.
The mosasaur looks great, but so many of the other dinos don't seem to have a very distinctive art direction going for them. It feels like they've all been wrapped up in the same blue-brown base texture, with only minor differentiation between them. A little annoying. I kind of expected much warmer browns on the other dinosaurs, and them giving D-rex a much colder color palette to differentiate her.
Indominus Rex escape scene.

I really need to resist more. I continue to watch everything that gets released for this movie.
edit: replaced the video with a new uploaded one. Very good CGI on this part
Jurassic World impresses Cinemacon audience
According to numerous tweets and articles, Chris Pratt and Colin Trevorrow showed an extended version of the latest trailer (often referred to as a 'sizzle reel')
which revealed more dinosaur action and a little more about the plot of the film. Chris Pratt described this reveal however, as "just the tip" of Jurassic World.
While the sizzle reel mostly contained extended scenes from the trailer, they also showed a couple of new scenes from the movie,
including one where Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt) rescues a worker who has accidently fallen into the Velociraptor pit.
There is much more to the scene but I won't spoil that for you, but you can read more about it on IGN or BadassDigest.
TheWrap described what they saw as potentially too violent for the younger audience,
but everybody in attendance was on the edge of their seats. They say that director Colin Trevorrow conjures the magic of the original Steven Spielberg film.

New and old information and pics have been revealed. No huge spoilers. But those which look like spoilers (to some users) are marked.
The Raptor Paddock Is Practical and so are its Raptors
Though most of Jurassic World's dinosaurs will be created using CGI, a few animatronics were created for the film,
most of which being for the Raptors. The film features 4 main Raptors, Owen's "Raptor Squad" as we constantly refer to it as.
Each Raptor was portrayed by a different suit actor to keep movement patterns consistent with each Raptor respectively.
The Raptor Paddock featured massive walls and catwalks as well as muzzle stations where Raptors would be harnessed so that they were safe to approach for studies and analysis.
The Old Visitor Center will impress
[sp]Yes, we will see the old Visitor Center from Jurassic Park in Jurassic World,
if you didn't already know. However, the old location has been completely overtaken by the forest around it,
this area of the Island is considered the "Restricted Area" as it features free-roaming Dinosaurs -
yes, Dinosaurs run free on Isla Nublar, the new park is merely one sanctioned off area, fenced in to protect visitors.
It is revealed that mid-way through the film, Ty Simpkins' and Nick Robinson's characters Gray and Zach find themselves at the old Visitor Center.
The classic banner and T-Rex bones are all there, the set was apparently very nostalgic for those lucky enough to have set foot on-set. SlashFilm says it was by far the most impressive set they visited.[/sp]
About Wu [sp]Dr. Wu has a secret lab
Dr. Henry Wu portrayed by returning cast member BD Wong, has a secret lab, not available to the public or the Creation Lab tour.
Unlike the clean, futuristic feel of the rest of the lab, Wu's secret lab is described as being very dark, realistic and features a
vairety of rare reptilian creatures used for gene sequencing. This is where he conducts research and runs tests for the company, which is pushing to create new Dinosaurs in an attempt to boost visitor appeal.[/sp]
Jake Johnson won't disappoint
Jake Johnson plays the role of Lowery, one of the park employees who oversees park activity,
helps track visitors and Dinosaurs alike. What makes him stand out is that he is our reference to Jurassic Park.
He wears a classic JP T-shirt, and constantly argues with Bryce Dallas Howard's character Claire,
about the unethical problems this new park envokes as well as how uncomfortable he feels about all the corporate meddling.
Not all Dinosaurs at Jurassic World are female, that's so old school
Jurassic World is not about synthetic Dinosaurs, they're all about the "real deal". Allowing the Dinosaurs to mate in the wild and form natural relationships with one another,
is an attempt to convince visitors that they are real animals, not "genetically engineered theme park monsters", as Alan Grant stipulated in Jurassic Park 3.
All Dinosaurs are tracked and so are the Park visitors
Every single Dinosaur at Jurassic World has a tracking beacon implanted on them, so that they may be tracked via the Park's control room.
Even the Dinosaurs in the Restricted Area have trackers, however the level of security is minimal in those areas, no security cameras are set up to monitor them like they have at the actual park.
About the T-Rex [sp]Rexy is back in all her epic glory
22 years later, the anti-hero Tyrannosaurus Rex from Jurassic Park is alive and well in Jurassic World.
Though her age is said to be evident in her looks, there's no denying that the classic T-Rex from Jurassic Park is back,
much to the appreciation by us fans. She also has a pivotal role in the film...[/sp]
About D'Onofrios character [sp]Vincent D'Onofrio is the bad guy
A bit of a shocker, considering he is the head of InGEN Security for Jurassic World, Vincent's character,
Vic Hoskins is apparently the bad guy of the film. What that means is unclear however. Does he sabotage the park like Nedry did and plummet the park into chaos in hopes to turn over a large profit?
Does he underestimate how many guns they need to keep the Dinosaurs at bay when things go wrong?
Or, is he just confrontational with the film's protagonists and makes poor decisions which lead to the deaths of many people? We're not sure yet.[/sp]
Don't know what to think about that, I liked The Lost World to be honest, but I guess there's a good reason to ignore the other movies.

Interesting. Could've sworn there were some nods to the last two films on some of the viral sites or something, though.
Though admittedly, it could be pretty easy to brush over those two films. Not much happens that would create huge effects on Jurassic World's genesis, barring perhaps the T-Rex rampage in Lost World. Though could I be wrong?

Very interesting. The sole reason why Vic Hoskins became Chief of Ingens Military was because he lead the team that killed the pteranodons from Jurassic Park 3. The websites were supposed to be canon.
While director Colin Trevorrow isn’t disregarding The Lost World and Jurassic Park III entirely, his installment, Jurassic World, is more of a direct sequel to the original film.
nevermind

well it kinda makes sense, jp2 and jp3 didn't even have functioning parks and just focused more on the characters having to outsmart dinosaurs for 2 hours, jw is more like a "what if the park actually opened?"
As long as The Lost World and III aren't non canon, I'm cool with it.

I get why they do that on the end of the video titles, but really, how do you not know about Jurassic Park?
