I liked it.

JP2 has the most retardest characters, all the conflict was thei fault.
JP2 has the most retardest characters, all the conflict was thei fault.
As much as I love Julianne Moore, her character and Vince Vaughn's character were probably the stupidest characters in the film. Almost as retarded as Tea Leoni's character in the third one. Remember how Sarah Hardning makes that speech about not interfering with the environment, right after nearly getting killed by a Stegosaurus precisely because she interfered with the environment? And don't even get me started on how her and Nick Van Owen's decision to sabotage the Hunter's camp and bring the baby T. rex to their trailers was pretty much caused (directly or indirectly) every single death in the movie.
The book version of Sarah Harding was 100x smarter and 1000x more badass.
The novel Sarah Harding reminded me of TR 2013 Lara Croft and how she ends up on the island. Dodgeson is a dick for [sp] kicking her off his boat [/sp]

I really hope that is legit, I really want a JPIV. Only thing is that the poster looks weird for a JP film, just using the original logo and making it blue seems weird.
I saw this news yesterday.
Don't know about you guys, but it sounds terrible to me...
I hope the new script is nothing like this, and they completely overhauled it to not be absolute shit.
This whole script goes against the grain of what the JP movies have always been about: you think you have control, but you don't. "Life finds a way" etc.
Honestly, a Jurassic Park that is ruined with people in the park sounds like more fun than just a few people. Just the havoc that can be caused, I just hope the raptors are the only tame dinosaurs in the movie(if they go with that script). If it's all dino's VS one, then it'd be quite bland. If they go back to the roots, make a functioning park, have a lot of visitors, THEN decide to have the park go to shit, that is what Jurassic Park needs.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a reboot.

It's not.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's a reboot.
There was something about an old script posted earlier, giving the idea that it's not a reboot. If it's a reboot, hopefully they reboot it and do it by the book(if they ever could).
I want to go see the first Jurassic Park again in cinemas just for this scene;

If they made it follow more closely to the book (and not give it a fuckin' PG rating) I'd pay to see it 10 times over.

*Obligatory "amazing rocket launcher scene" comment*
Director Colin Trevorrow stated that there will be a new 'badass' dinosaur in JP4
“What is my favourite dinosaur? We have a new one that’s pretty cool. I’m not going to tell you anything about it, but… it’s pretty badass. I think Jack Horner said something about that too… I feel like, obviously, everyone’s favourite is the T-Rex and there’s just something so iconic about that animal.”

“I saw some of the rumours on the internet and I would have all kinds of red flags going off if I heard they were going to muzzle a T-Rex. So I would say don’t believe everything you read, there are way more insiders on the internet than there are in real life.”

“It’s important to make a movie for the fans but I also have to remember that there’s a lot of people who just couldn’t care less and need me to make a solid case for why the hell there’s a Jurassic Park 4 in the first place and I want to make a movie for them too… This is not a paycheck gig for me and it’s not the movie that I’m making so I can make the movies that I really want to make. I actually want to make a kick-ass Jurassic Park movie.”
Jurassic Park 4 is now called Jurassic World

What does that even mean.
"First, it was a park... now.. it's the world!"
Something like that?
As long as they're not going to fucking NY.
As long as they're not going to fucking NY.
Aliens have invaded NY, so humans only chance is to team up with the dinosaurs and kick their butts back to space.
It's the year 2113.
New York has grown to encompass the entire world.
John Hammond's clonebot is struck by a virus and, against his own will, purchases the city-planted of New York and turns the entire thing into a dinosaur theme park.

This film is actually set back in time 65 million years ago!
The film focuses on an amusement park run by Dinosaurs... and the attractions? HOMO ERECTUS!!!
Bryce Dallas Howard confirmed to be cast in new film
Bryce Dallas Howard has joined Jurassic World, the fourth movie in the Jurassic Park series.
The film is reported to be looking for one more big role before moving forward in the pre-production.
Late response, but it hasn't been said in this thread yet.
Good Case: Jurassic Park -> Jurassic World : Disneyland -> Disney World
Bad Case: Dinosaurs take over the world.
Worst Case: Movie starts with the good case, ends on the bad case.
Sorry for this kind of necro post, but I have the fear that the people responsible for the script and producing it don't really have the experience to make a movie like Jurassic Park.
Do some people have experience with the works of Colin Trevorrow, Frank Marshall, Patrick Crowley and so on? I just got this feeling after re-watching the first one and I really would like to see again a good dinosaur film for such a long time.
But I just don't get this bad feeling off me.
Speaking of which, Chris Pratt confirmed to star in new JP. Production set to start in April in New Orleans (along with Terminator: Genesis)
Jurassic Park are the only good Dinosaur Films that exist. I really hope "tamed" Dinosaurs dont appear I absolutely hate the concept.

Or if they are tamed, they go feral at some point.
Can't control nature, life finds away, etc. etc.
I still think it could work to show the park working, taking in guests, until shit goes wrong.
There is SO much money to be made off of the idea of LIVING FUCKING DINOSAURS that I could totally see someone giving it one more shot, just "learning" from Hammond's mistakes.
It's the classic Frankenstein fallacy; "this time will be different, I won't be so foolish!", where they avoid every mistake made by the predecessor, failing to see that the biggest mistake was trying it in the first place.
Yeah I just thought about how they would probably tame Raptors and ride on them when they were pretty much terrifying in the first and second film. They were retarded in the third, too much "Raptors take over the world". The Spinosaurus was cool but should have died to the T-Rex in some kind of final fight instead or something. The Design was absolutely frightening IMO:
[t]http://monsterawarenessmonth.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/jp3-spinosaurus1.jpg[/t]
Bantha pretty much said what I'm worried about, I dont want the Dinos to become Pets or something and rather have them be the force of nature they were in all 3 films(except retarded raptor part, srs what the hell was that??).
that would have been neat, if another t-rex came and killed the spino at the end.
fan edit!
Construction has begun and Legendary is producing the film
