That wolf mask
That cameo!
I'm really glad I got to hear that drum track again. Other than the main theme, it's the most memorable part of the first season for me.
That cameo!
I kinda hope it's more than that. I'm really thinking their may be a connection between him there and the wolf hat given the talk he was given last we saw him.
Great episode
[sp]So, was that bowling alley some kind of gateway to heaven/hell? I think all of them died there in the woods (except Meemo). We've also come full circle with the first episode. Yuri killed Helga and that's why he saw her before dying. He's going to hell now. Emmit is obviously haunted by Ray's soul and is going completely nuts right now.[/sp] I think I have to rewatch the whole season but I have to say, this is shaping up to be the best build up and season of a show I've ever seen. You just have to carefully look for all those details and the Coen Brothers are doing an amazing job with that. 9/10 for me so far.
It's been a while since I saw the first season but so far the third season is top notch. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

I liked seeing that Gloria [sp]has a typewriter on her office desk instead of a computer like everyone else[/sp]
i think [sp]they are certainly being judged or prepped, but i don't think they're dead yet.[/sp]
Yuri is most likely dead, seeing as they mentioned "the dead russian in the woords" three months after the events.
Another great episode.
The hotel scene was so great. [sp]That ice cream scene though[/sp]
[sp]"Ice cream"[/sp]
I was going to try to make a gif of the [sp]overlay of Varga's gaping maw of ice-cream[/sp], but having some trouble acquiring the source material. This will suffice: a portait of [sp]the lost souls[/sp]. Damned if this season doesn't rival the first in every category...
I wonder if we'll ever figure out what the V. M. stands for, if it's some "oh shit" bombshell we'll learn at the end of the last episode that connects it to a previous season.
I orginally dropped the show after S2, it just didn't hook me for some reason. I binged watched all of the current S3 episodes yesterday and it was fantastic, I like this season just as much as the first.

I just went back to season 2 and watched it again because it got on Netflix. I didn't think Season 2 was as good as season 1 the first time either but wow. I really love it. It's almost not like Fargo but the way the crime story interacts with Carter's crisis of confidence and Vietnam and how well they portray that is fantastic. Plus, you can talk about any of the cop main characters you want, but Lou Solverson is hands down the best one. His talk in the final ep about the rock that mean all bear is such fantastic acting
Season 1 was the best for me, season 2 and 3 seem to be on par with one another.
[sp]Oh my god that ending lmao. i love it and hate it all at the same time. pretty great finale tho. especially everything having to do with mr wrench[/sp]
Damn, Varga is my fav character of this season
I think a really important thing to note about Varga's character, is that quote it says at the end about people having no inherrent value is almost word for word a quote from Robert Mercer (A secretive hedge fund tycoon that in the past, has bought out companies and renamed them and then gone on to trash their reputation)
t human beings have no inherent value other than how much money they make. A cat has value, he’s said, because it provides pleasure to humans. But if someone is on welfare they have negative value. If he earns a thousand times more than a schoolteacher, then he’s a thousand times more valuable.”
nice guy
Honestly that ending felt really unsatisfying. [sp]Nikki dies in a random chance encounter instead of something seemingly critical to the plot[/sp] [sp]Emmett dies off screen with no explanation[/sp] [sp]And it ends with implications that Varga may get away completely scott-free[/sp] [editline]24th June 2017[/editline] By the way, who [sp]send that warning text to Vargas when he was in the elevator?[/sp]
[sp]Emmett dies off screen with no explanation[/sp]
[sp]he was shot in the back of the head by Wrench out of loyalty to Nikki who failed to finish the job herself. We know she told him what she wanted and we know she gave him a ton of money so it's not hard to imagine he'd feel inclined to do that for her. What further explanation is needed? The rest is fair enough but that was one part I thought was fine as is. [/sp]
Is there a way to confirm that, though?
[sp]confirm what? That he did it out of respect for Nikki? I mean yea it's not totally spelled out for the audience but what other reason would there be. It just makes sense, to me at least. [/sp]
why did it take 5 years tho lol
why did it take 5 years tho lol
[sp]I guess cause he was waiting for things to totally calm down since everyone was looking for him following that massive shootout he did. still a hell of a long time to wait lol but whatever[/sp]
I feel like we got the most satisfying ending possible [sp]This season hasn't really been moving towards a happy ending. I would've loved seeing Varga get his comeuppance, but considering the dark and hopeless season it wouldn't really fit and would feel like a cop out. Having Varga win would be very unsatisfying, like a kick in the chest. It would give the image that evil always wins. The actual ending fits very well with the quantum theory stuff that's been discussed. Both win and no-one wins at the same time. It also fits in with the theme of truth, and that truth is malleable. In the end, it's up to you to guess who's most likely to get their way. [/sp]
Just desserts. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/w5nU4Bm.jpg[/img_thumb]
