The only thing that would have made it truly complete is if Lester said "Aw jeez" just before you know what.
do you reckon malvo [sp] killed the car dealer guy? [/sp] i thought he would have just to add irony to the first episode when that same guy doesn't buy life insurance.
[sp]I think Malvo genuinely believed he was the devil, and so when he got shot and didn't die, he was like "I'm immortal, you cannot kill me! You just fucked u-", and then was shot in the face.[/sp]
[sp]I actually legitimately think that Malvo is actually the devil. Not like, he thinks he's the devil, but that he truly is the devil. And I don't think he's actually dead. The sort of smug look he has as he's about to be shot to death was sort of like, "Haha you think I'm actually going to die?", as well as the other poster who said he revels in the loss of innocence. Think about how the characters talked about Malvo the entire series. They talked about him as if he's a thing, not a person. Or how about when he talks to Lester the first time and then in the elevator. It's as if time stops and it's only them and he asks Lester, "Is this what you want?" It makes me think about the devil making a deal with someone and in turn taking their soul. I dunno, I got more and more convinced that he isn't just a figurative devil, but a literal devil.[/sp]

He's definitely not the fucking devil. I mean, youre free to think whatever you want, but that's just a silly thing to think.
The only thing that would have made it truly complete is if Lester said "Aw jeez" just before you know what.
i actually said "aw heck" at the end, and when he didn't i actually frowned :(
[sp]I would believe so.[/sp]
I disagree, both cars were missing when Lester looked out his window.
Wrench and car dealer guy are going to be the main characters next season
I disagree, both cars were missing when Lester looked out his window.
Yea, I noticed that too. I honestly think he had a change of heart for once.

But it's certainly not silly to have a differing opinion.
Yea, I noticed that too. I honestly think he had a change of heart for once.
To be honest i think Malvo would've gotten more out of letting him go than killing him, the dude's gonna have to live knowing that[sp]he "helped" Malvo murder two FBI agents, plus what Malvo did to him, the man's gonna be a wreck.[/sp] But yeah the car was gone.
Yea, I noticed that too. I honestly think he had a change of heart for once.
I don't think it was a change of heart. I think it was he just did not care.
I don't think it was a change of heart. I think it was he just did not care.
I think that Malvo is not absolutely evil character, but he has some weird, fucked up moral code. Car dealer guy did what he had to do, so he didn't deserved for punishment - he could drove away. Same thing was with Gus in the pilot, and I think same thing would be with [sp]Lester in 9th episode. I doubt Malvo would kill Lester after killing these people in the elevator, I bet Malvo would be amused with the idea of "partner in crime". But Lester as always fucked up.[/sp]
There's a lot of speculation from people in this thread about a second season, but Noah Hawley the director and writer said he was going to lay low before he considers doing another run at Fargo, so it might not happen.
can someone link to the true story that this is based off.
can someone link to the true story that this is based off.
It's not really a true story. They say that for the suspension of belief.
It's not really a true story. They say that for the suspension of belief.
I thought it was based on something that happend just a few names changed and maybe some details but I thought this or something like this happend..
The original movie was based on a handful of true events, stitched together by a fictional story. As far as I know, the show is just keeping the true story moniker because the movie had it and I don't know if any true events were put in the show. Yes, someone really was fed through a woodchipper.
ohhhhhh okay then that make's more scene will that case any word of Season 2.?
Yes, someone really was fed through a woodchipper.
Yes, some people who lived in Minnesota died during the winter. Yes, someone sold insurance and had a wife once. Yes, a police chief solved a case one time. Yes, some FBI agents parked on a street and chatted for a while. Yes, a man with a coat rode a snowmobile once.
Check the post just above your first one.
god dam it why the show was great and I can't wait for it.
IIRC there was some talk about it becoming an anthology type series a while back the same way True Detective did.
He's said if it comes back it'd be a new story yes, but first it'd have to come back.
So wait, why did Malvo put the deer in the trunk?
So wait, why did Malvo put the deer in the trunk?
To mask any blood or evidence left behind by the dude in there I think
To mask any blood or evidence left behind by the dude in there I think
But there were the guy's tracks in the snow and they found him right away. Malvo doesn't strike me as someone sloppy for that.
But there were the guy's tracks in the snow and they found him right away. Malvo doesn't strike me as someone sloppy for that.
I dunno he didn't usually show much concern for cleaning up his crime scenes so even a bare minimum effort is surprising.
I've just started watching the office again. Martin Freeman has come such a long way, his character in that and Lester in Fargo are almost unrecognisable from each other.
But there were the guy's tracks in the snow and they found him right away. Malvo doesn't strike me as someone sloppy for that.
We are talking about the same Lorne Malvo that [sp]wiped out an entire crime syndicate in broad daylight and killed three people in a busy casino elevator[/sp] right? If he does clean up any evidence, it's enough to remove anything that can implicate him. That was my impression. If he put the deer in his trunk, I would guess it was either to hide any evidence that a guy was in his trunk, or he just wanted to get rid of the deer. If he just left it, a road crew would come by to clean it up and discover the tracks themselves. Removing the deer would buy him some time.
