Wait the scene is actually edited like that? I've seen gifs of it and I thought it was a joke
It came so out of nowhere for me and I couldn't think of anything else but this Sorry for outdated meme
Of course it already exits fuck Edit: Spoilers, obviously
That's the same guy with a gazillion vids of compilations of random songs on it
As silly as that bit was, I have to give Bill Skarsgard credit - his voice, movements, and facial expressions were thoroughly unsettling throughout the movie and he did a great job as Pennywise IMO.

Tim Curry's Pennywise came across really well as a clown who was also a monster. He tells jokes, shares playful dialogue with his victims and even does a bit of tumbling at one point. Bill Skarsgard, on the other hand, came across as a monster attempting to masquerade as a clown. His inflection is slightly off, he's constantly drooling, and even when playing the clown he can't quite hide his malevolent intent. Its terrific.
I will say I'm disappointed with how downplayed and understated they made [sp]Mike's[/sp] character. The pacing of the movie was of course done so they could try and fit as much in as they could in the already 2 hour long flick, but, [sp]Mike [/sp]feels like he exists [sp]just so he can bring the gun to the fight. Almost shoe-horned in, not enough exploration or conversations held with him once he's a part of the Loser's Club to make me really feel like he has a stake in all of this or that he's truly friends with em all. [/sp] Hohum. Hopefully they make up for the shortcomings of the time restraints in chapter 2! Still super duper enjoyed the flick.
I'm really, really surprised they [sp]Straight up showed the arm being ripped off. I don't know why I thought they would hide it, like the original miniseries.[/sp]
First weekend box office estimate is in http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=4323&p=.htm that's pretty fucking mental as far as R rated horror movies go
I'm hoping for the love of god this gives more incentive to fund and make R rated movies. You get a bigger palette to work with and can just do whatever the fuck you want almost. Deadpool proved it, now IT has as well
I want to see the movie again, I fucking loved it. The little details especially made it a fun movie to watch, like one thing specifically with Pennywise's [sp]eyes always being a little fucked up. It was like they were acting independently from each other, or he couldn't completely mimic a normal human being or something?? From the very first scene with Georgie and the sewer I kept noticing one eye being "off".[/sp]
[sp]That's just how Skarsgard's eyes are lol[/sp]
[sp]That's just how Skarsgard's eyes are lol[/sp]
[sp]I found out his eyes aren't ALWAYS like that, but he does have a lazy eye and specifically relaxed it to let it roll around in filming to take advantage of the disability for extra creepy factor.[/sp]

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've noticed [sp]Bill's eyes have always looked... off...[/sp] so I thought that was what you were referring to. Pleasantly surprised to hear he uses that as a tool for his role. Guess my mom was right when I told her who was playing Pennywise... "A Skarsgård? Awesome! They're amazing actors."
Is this scary for kids
Is this scary for kids
If anything it's an educational video. Highly recommend
Is this scary for kids
I think it might be. But it's worth it nonetheless because the message/lesson/theme is centered around overcoming such fears.
I think it might be. But it's worth it nonetheless because the message/lesson/theme is centered around overcoming such fears.
What If fear is fear itself?
What If fear is fear itself?
No, it's It not If.
I thought it was fantastic, as a longtime fan of the novel. There are plenty of bits they changed, but I'm generally able to go into a movie without being a purist, so unless they truly screw it up (looking at you, I am Legend) I can accept the differences. I see plenty of people saying they didn't find it scary, but I for one was pretty unsettled by a couple of bits. The [sp]Flute Player/Painting Lady[/sp] in particular creeped me out and for the rest of that evening and the next couple of days I'd get chills whenever the thought of it crossed my mind. I can appreciate the exclusion of something as abstract as the [sp]Ritual of Chud[/sp] from the book, and thought they handled that final confrontation very well. I am wondering if we will ever see [sp]It in Its spider form. I think they could do some interesting things with that to demonstrate that it isn't a spider, but something you can't quite grasp so your eyes tell you it's a spider. Have It move in impossible ways, the number of legs changing, the body shifting around impossibly, things like that.[/sp]
It: Chapter Two slated for September 6th, 2019 release
good shit. although that article isn't quite right
and at the domestic B.O., it’s already the largest horror film ever with $266.1M, beating The Exorcist late last week.
Largest R rated horror film ever**** it still has to surpass The Sixth Sense if it wants to be the largest horror film period here in the states, tho it's on track to probably do that in a couple weeks. Worldwide it's looking like it'll end up 2nd to Sixth Sense tho, but that's still crazy impressive.
Sixth Sense is a drama/mystery/thriller though. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167404/ I've never heard of it being hailed as a horror movie myself. But hopefully it surpasses anyway, I feel like this kind of deserved it. Much better than many horror movies I've seen. Shit still ain't left my mind from seeing it opening Sunday. [editline]25th September 2017[/editline] Speaking of R-ratings I feel like this coulda been easily a PG-13 with just a few changes. Cutting down on language, cutting away when [sp]it shows the cat after Georgie gets bit, so you don't see him crawling without an arm[/sp] and I think that might be enough. Maybe the waving with an arm shot. I wonder if they did this deliberately so it'd be easy to make a TV edit. Anywho I hope they announce the director's cut release date soon
Sixth Sense is a drama/mystery/thriller though. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167404/
uhh IMDB pages can only fit three tags, they just pick the three that most fit. that doesn't mean a movie officially can't be called another genre lol and you can find it listed as a horror movie plenty of places, including sites owned by IMDB i mean really tho ofc it can be called a horror movie, it's about gross looking talking dead people scaring a little kid lol.
alright alright
I'm seriously pissed off that this movie's release was delayed in my country and comes out in a month. I'm a big fan of IT, i've read the whole book, watched the old movie and can't wait for this one, and the fact that you say it's really good only hypes me more.
i'm still trying to figure out if that was supposed to be funny or not because it was hilarious
I cracked up. My girlfriend describes it as "terrifying". I Am Legend was a horror film ?
