I have no clue what to make of the new show and I think I'm giving up after this episode since I've completely lost any connection. Still hate how they kept the hair for the one deputy, it looks ridiculous.
you got lynched
David Lynch is probably the single, only, director that I'd let get away with this, mainly because there genuinely is depth to everything he does. Everything in that episode actually meant something, it wasn't just random shit on screen
I was not talking about the concert.
Oh. Nevermind. My apolgoies :v:
Guys I think David Lynch is a fucking genius what WAS that
[sp]the genesis of horror. a predator, exploiter of all of man's evils and sin borne into life through abyssal flame, engendered to our world by the crack of a blastwave. it's magnificent. [/sp]
The most confusing and disturbing part of that episode for me was[sp]Nine Inch Nails playing at the Roadhouse.[/sp] I still feel nausous now
Nine Inch Nails is awesome and Trent and Lynch are good friends apparently. Nothing disturbing or confusing about that.
Nine Inch Nails is awesome and Trent and Lynch are good friends apparently. Nothing disturbing or confusing about that.
Yeah Lynch even directed a NIN music video (SEIZURE WARNING):
The Nine Inch Nails performance was fantastic and it fit the episode perfectly. [editline]27th June 2017[/editline] All the band performances have been great so far tbh
Shadow was just :ok:
A thought on the latest episode: [sp] I don't think it's an origin for the Black Lodge, as people had been saying. I think that the Black Lodge predates the bombs, what with the whole Native American lore thing, and that the Giant is part of the White Lodge. I think the Bomb made BOB, or somehow catalyzed the Black Lodge for getting BOB out? I also liked the sort of classic goetic demon look of the fly-frog creature, and the ghostly hobo gang. Who knows where they are going??? [/sp]
just watch the original show, Fire Walk With Me and the missing pieces.
alternatively for FWWM you can watch Q2's edit which reincorporates the Missing Pieces into where they were supposed to go in the movie. Granted it stretches the movie to be 3 and a half hours long, but I prefer to watch it that way. Especially since it restores the legible version of the [sp]Phillip Jeffries[/sp] scene

[/sp]
[sp]I was thinking that as the Black Lodge and White Lodge always did exist, it was just the pure potential of human suffering that would be caused by the atomic bombs that just like riled up the Black Lodge and fully opened the door for fowk like BOB and MIKE to come in.[/sp]
Grow up.
I'm sorry I dont like Nine Inch Nails. Didn't realise having a different taste in music meant I was immature
[sp]Its also important to note that time doesn't work linearly in the white and black lodges, like how Annie showed up in Laura's bed in FWWM. Although I don't think the bomb created the black lodge either, that could explain why the native Americans were aware of it even if it was created in 1945.[/sp] [sp]That being said, if the beings of the white/black lodges can travel in time, how did Bad Coop get duped by the other prisoner with the gun fake out? Also, where did the other prisoner get the unloaded gun to do the fake out anyway lol[/sp]
I'm sorry I dont like Nine Inch Nails. Didn't realise having a different taste in music meant I was immature
tbh i didnt really enjoy sitting through an entire ~5 minute long musical performance in the middle of a twin peaks episode either.
I'm sorry I dont like Nine Inch Nails. Didn't realise having a different taste in music meant I was immature
Not liking Nine Inch Nails was not necessarily the nuisance being objected to, 'twas rather the snobby and arrogant way you phrased it.
tbh i didnt really enjoy sitting through an entire ~5 minute long musical performance in the middle of a twin peaks episode either.
Yea, it was definitely odd pacing wise, but I think it still acted as a great moodsetter.

The gun thing isn't really a plot hole, Coop requested all of their belongings back. Ray probably had a gun on him at the time. Coop didn't specify what kind of gun, so all he knew was there would be a gun in the glove box. Don't know how Ray managed to pry the bullets themselves out in that time but maybe he was playing the ultra long game and knew a dud gun would come in handy eventually. He seems a lot smarter and has more connections than was lead on.[/sp]
I finally picked up a copy of The Secret History of Twin Peaks, and all this [sp]alium[/sp] shit is hitting all the right spots. Haven't finished it yet, but I'm loving every page of it.
[sp]That being said, if the beings of the white/black lodges can travel in time, how did Bad Coop get duped by the other prisoner with the gun fake out? Also, where did the other prisoner get the unloaded gun to do the fake out anyway lol[/sp]
[sp]Maybe the Warden armed the other guy specifically to take out E.Cooper, because he didn't trust him to keep other "Dog Legs" hidden. Most importantly, the other dude KNEW that Cooper wouldn't die from a gunshot, and while he was shaken by the experience of encountering the GHOST HOBOS™, he seems to have expected it, when he spoke to Phillip (Jeffreys ?)[/sp] Also, [sp]were there Lightning Strikes next to the Nuclear Explosion? As noted in the Secret History of Twin Peaks, there has been some sort of ritual done in that area before the atomic testing - perhaps a way to open the gateway to BoB?[/sp]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/RjjODei.png[/t] [sp]everyone is freaking out over this line because of ep 8[/sp] also from Page 14 of "Twin Peaks: An access guide to the town" that was published during the original run, look familiar? http://i.imgur.com/UMioiuf.jpg

Finished Secret History and absolutely loved it. It opens up Episode 8 a ton, and I can't wait to see where the show goes from here.
Just realised the convenience store has a gas pump outside, and every time BOB possesses someone there is a strong smell of burned engine oil.
Just realised the convenience store has a gas pump outside, and every time BOB possesses someone there is a strong smell of burned engine oil.
Also, look back to where Jeffries said he met with the others in FWWM: "It was above a convenience store."
Also, look back to where Jeffries said he met with the others in FWWM: "It was above a convenience store."
Also MIKE says that in the third ep and at the end of the intl. pilot
Also, look back to where Jeffries said he met with the others in FWWM: "It was above a convenience store."
yeah i didnt mention that because it was obvious
ep7: [sp]I'm glad they revealed that Laura did in fact write that incredibly important information in her diary. That was one loose end that irked me and my friends a little[/sp] ep8: [sp]I thought the no-face space lady episode was going to be peak Lynch this season but boy am I glad to be wrong. What a return to form. So what are people's theories as to what exactly the golden Laura ball is about? Was she a pawn to help bring down Bob?[/sp]
