iirc the final shot of the tv show was used as the thumbnail on netflix for a while
I really have to be fair, I was not getting into ep8 when I first watched it.
After a while and thinking about it more, it's weirdly grown on me out of pure fascination. It's mesmerising.

The silence between [sp]Gordon and Diane[/sp] was hilarious. The back and forth with his eyes before he reached out for the cigarette almost made me think Lynch was gonna crack up.

This episode was great, finally we got some answers or at least some good leads. Also I have to say that Tamy Preston is one hell of a character, I cannot seriously stop looking at all her articulation and demeanour, there was some outstanding acting in this epsiode.

Just looked her up and she's 39. Damn, she looks like she's in her late 20's.

it seems to cycle between other songs from the show so far. There's some radio messages in between, like its getting interrupted from other stations. I swear I heard something about "visitors" in one of them. Maybe that's something someone can investigate?

After going through the whole thing, it cycles through a lot of songs, eventually ending with the [sp]song we heard from the Woodsman episode[/sp] before eventually ending and returning you to the front page. The video doesn't appear to be anything but the same thing looping over and over as far as I can tell.

The box is an attempt to break down the walls between our world and the others through vibration frequencies.
There are many layers to the other worlds, Briggs didn't age as he became part of the other world, however Cooper did as he was more an interloper than anything, thus the flow of time still affected him. He's literally been sitting in that chair for 25 years.
The nuclear explosion created an opening for entities to enter our dimension, and this process was later moved to electricity as it became more ubiquitous. This is also one of the reasons why supernatural events in the series seem to have become more common.
Doppelgangers exist possibly due to decisions creating parallel universes, however only one universe is the 'prime universe, so all others are slowly purged until the 'important' universe is observed.
There's a lot of superfluous material as well, but the vast majority of information on that site directly links up to concepts brought up in this season.[/sp]
