Twin Peaks - That show you like is going to come back in style
My main issue with FWWM is that Chet should have been Coop like Lynch wanted. It would have made the dissonance between Deer Meadow and Twin Peaks way better and it would have been interesting to see Coop deal with a less than friendly town outside of the 5 minds we get.
Oh and more Bowie/Jeffries.
All the Laura stuff is top fucking notch.
But Chet is great though:

im not ready honestly
This new season ended up being way better than I think anybody expected. Most shows/movies struggle to get good sequels even a few years after the original, but Twin Peaks managed to reach the same level if not surpass the original in some ways after fucking twenty five years.
I kinda don't even want a new season and just let this be the end.
It's definitely the most bizarre and unique show that hit TV yet, and I'm so glad that it happened.
Also, the scene with [sp]Cooper waking up and then him telling Bushnell the "I am the FBI" line [/sp] was perfect.
i'm so ready but also not ready
Let's rock
[sp]"You didn't watch fire walk with me? well fuck you now you are"[/sp]
edit:
[sp] I can't believe they actually planned this shit. this is amazing[/sp]
That was fucking insane and there's still an hour left
here we go part 2

Is that it? I... don't know what else I expected.

My fucking jaw dropped because of the amount of balls Frost/Lynch had to end it like that.
I'm so confused but
I'm not angry at all for some reason
The midpoint of Part 17 [sp]after the floating Bob orb is defeated[/sp] and onwards reminded me a lot of Mulholland Drive. A point at which [sp]the story becomes much more abstract and open to interpretation.[/sp]
honestly the finale is hilarious because it just [sp]shatters the entire timeline and currently makes season 1 and 2 non-canon[/sp]
Soooo... [sp]you guys think The Final Dossier will add more questions onto the pile? Will it even make sense given that the timeline is completely fucked at this point?[/sp]
Someone posted up this reasonable theory of what happened there in the finale and it's pretty solid.
*MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD*
[sp]Laura got sucked into a fake timeline by Judy. Coop entered with diane's help. Notice the house is owned by chalfont/Tremond, both names of the old spirit woman Laura served meals on wheels to. Laura remebers who she is and the dream world shuts down and all the lights turn off. - drwzrd[/sp]
What do you guys make of it ?
[sp]So, technically the original series didn't happen, by Bob/Judy still exist, if everything is not entirely "Cooper" coming up with everything.[/sp]
both
I'm late to the party should I be hyped or afraid
Why not both?
[sp]Cooper now joins Wolverine and Samurai Jack as protagonists who have to carry that weight.[/sp]
It's not Twin Peaks if it's not a pile of inscrutable nonsense which is nonetheless weirdly charming.
You folks got any ideas as to what the ambient track that plays [sp]over the credits of the finale is[/sp]? It isn't credited to anyone like all the tracks usually are and its so strangely unsettling.
I really hope its made the soundtrack release.
Someone should time what percentage of part 18 was just [sp]driving in complete silence[/sp]
Let's just say I'm beyond lynched right now
[sp]Not surprised that the ending was confusing but I was really surprised that we didn't get any more information about Audrey and they didn't do anything else with Shelly and co's story.[/sp]
I don't know why I was hoping for a satisfying ending. Really should've seen this one coming. [sp]As soon as Cooper woke up in Odessa I knew I was gonna get Muholland Drive'd[/sp]
So what was [sp]Booper's goal anyway? Also why was he sent to the Fireman's place in a cage for a minutes (next to Briggs) then teleported to the sheriff's station?[/sp]
The biggest question though (in part 17 at least) is what was with [sp]Cooper's face superimposed on the screen after Bob is killed? I'm kinda convinced that the timelines just got mangled and nothing makes sense anymore from that point onwards, but what was the catalyst for that to happen? The superimposition started right as Cooper stared at the eyeless lady, so I guess it has something to do with her being Diane?[/sp]
And why did the door at the Great Northern's furnace room [sp]lead to Phillip Jeffries? Why did Coop even know that the key would lead there and what were his intentions from that point onward? What did the 8 that Phillip conjured up mean?[/sp]
And this isn't even getting into part 18

David Lynch really, really, really, really likes his [sp]dream alternate realities[/sp] doesn't he, considering he never stops using them ever

[Sp]to get garmonbozia and either escape or destroy the lodge, and i think the fireman sent dooper their so one punch man can kill bob [/sp]

[sp]Sheffield Lad was badass, sent BOB to fucking hell and then shattered him into pieces.[/sp]
