You want a Lynch production... to be less Lynch? What did you expect? Have you seen FWWM?
Every episode is directed by Lynch. unlucky bro.
[sp]I can see what he means with the casino scenes though. The Cooper/Dougie scenes have been funny but kinda irritating too, I hope he regains his senses soon.[/sp]
I was reading a Lynch interview where he said that this new season was produced as an 18 hour film, and that they simply split it into 18 parts. This wouldn't be an issue if they released the entire thing at once but since it's being released weekly there might be some concerns how it's not paced for television.

FWWM was fucked up compared to the original show. It's good, but shit, it's so much darker.

Also, EP3:
[sp]"WHAT THE HELL?" -Lynch, about his own plotline[/sp]

Two actors so far who are in this but dead IRL now, is Lynch murdering actors?
Fire Walk With me is fucking nonsense when watching it, but has all these important revelations that link directly to the new season

Yeah, I always draw a line between Twin Peaks and "real" Lynch movies (which I really like, well besides Inland Empire).
TP was always that more accessible one, with an actual story, and less fucked up dream visions :D
To be honest, new Twin Peaks is closer to Mullholand Drive and Lost Highway than FWWM.
Also,[sp]a 10 minutes scene about painting shovels[/sp]:why:
It is very very clear that this was meant to be a film, or at least that Lynch has forgotten how to pace for TV

electricity and garbanzo beans (or whatever they call it, the creamed corn) sailed over my head and the Bowie scene was nigh on incomprehensible as a result of the scene swapping
mark frost deserves recognition for turning Lynch material into something that's actually intelligible on a certain level.
I love the first two episodes. Going to watch the next two sometime this week.
if you actually pay attention and think, FWWM makes perfect sense. you need to have seen twin peaks and be familiar with its mythos, but apart from that.
garbanzo beans (or whatever they call it, the creamed corn)
Garmonbozia. "Pain and suffering."
The new episodes destroyed my brain in the best way possible.
The fact that the other side has a whole world that you literally never see in the regular series is a bizarre concept to me

The Missing Pieces is pretty much essential to "understanding" FWWM.
Anybody else catch the [sp]David Bowie callback?[/sp]
Fucking hell, spoiler tags are hard to add on mobile with it trying to autocorrect your fucking tags.

[sp]I got so excited when they first mention Jeffries. The character I was most hoping they address this season. I'm not gonna get my hopes up for a Bowie appearance but it would be awesome[/sp]

Nope. Not gonna happen.

[sp]Garland Briggs showed up and his actor has been dead for 9 years.[/sp]

From what I read they wanted to but couldn't get to it in time
[sp]Oh god I forgot that Michael Cera was in this.[/sp]
I think Bobby is the one that has aged the best from what I've seen so far.

Mädchen Amick??
Mädchen Amick??
She looks good, But Bobby is better. Although David Lynch himself don't look to shabby for 71 either.
Episode 3 will be utterly impenetrable for TV viewers.
Nope. Not gonna happen.
[sp]They started shooting several months before Bowie died and Phillip Jeffries is already a big part of the season. David Bowie will most likely be in this season, either through archive footage like Briggs or actual newly shot footage.[/sp]

[sp]HellOOOOOOOOOOOOO[/sp]
Just watched chapter 1/2 and the [sp] glass box scene [/sp] was truly terrifying.
It's pretty great so far, gotta love that Lynch style.
this is so fucking great. fucking peak lynch. it is transcendental.

HOW DOES EVERYONE LOOK SO GOOD?? [sp]i swear Mike has gotten YOUNGER looking[/sp]
Oh my god that [sp]Michael Cera[/sp] scene was the most blatant poke at James Hurley ever :v:
Where is everyone watching the new season? I can't find anything on it other than some livestream which is US exclusive.

[sp]Leland[/sp] also looks like he hasn't aged a day. (don't know if that character is considered a spoiler, but just in case)

I made a Sky subscription just for this show. It's 9,99€ here but you can still cancel it monthly.
It's called Sky Ticket but they have some other cool shows, too. Don't know how it's in the UK
[sp]Leland[/sp] also looks like he hasn't aged a day. (don't know if that character is considered a spoiler, but just in case)
He actually looks younger
[sp]Seeing the log lady like that broke my heart :c[/sp]
